Port Orleans - French Quarter ~ November 2007
7 Night Eastern Disney Cruise ~ December 2008

Just thought I'd share "someone's" future travel plans with my friends on here...you can't say you weren't warned can you?.....:lmao:  :lmao:

Hey Chris... is that the Christmas cruise? Or another 2 week trip for y'all?:goodvibes

:welcome: back KimmieLee

Thanks so much Melanie...it was TORTURE not being able to keep up. They found a nice rats nest in my crawl space... GRRRRR! They chewed the cable coming into the house while chewing the HOLE around it so they could get their fat little bodies out of the cold weather.

My office is so fast paced. I always have people lined up to see me for one thing or another (my underwriters can't deny a loan or an appraisal without my approval) so trying to sneak a peek at the DISboards was sooooo not easy. I felt GUILTY! :surfweb:

Anyway... I'm back and can't wait to catch up. I think I've surfed past all the beaver references. Although, there is a town here in Michigan called Beaverton - sounds like a good place for RER and Chris to come and have a beer or two! :rolleyes1

Noah has a horrible double ear infection. The kid KILLS me! He has such a high tolerance for ear pain that it takes the GOOP dripping from his ear for him to say... "Mommy, I think my ears are fected". :rotfl2:

Ok, back to playing catch up. I didn't see any new families... but is the Sugar Family joining us? :confused3 PJ? :confused3

Pam-glad to hear you are OK. I know how scary it is not to hear from family/friends after a natural disaster.

Kim- YIPPPPEEEE!!!!! Sorry about the cold vermin! Maybe your house shouldn't be so inviting! LOL!

I heard from rer today. He said the storms were "electrifying". Remember, he is there camping!

Ok, I'm starving my **** off. I'll be baaaaaaaaaaackpirate:

Hi Pam , We are so glad you are safe and sound . We will definelty keep your family in our thoughts.

Paula. Did Ronnie give you a call? Is it really storming there still? I can't imagine being there during those storms, and in a tent no less. :scared1:

Kimmi, Glad your back . :yay:

Off to watch the Barnyard movie with the girls on pay preview.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone. I'm sure I may not be posting much till Monday.

Melanie, Sorry to hear you are sick  :sad2: . There is a major flu break out here and they have been warning us about it and how long schools would be closed if it spreads.

Kimmielee, we can sympathize with the rodent problem. We are not dirty people but we have a cornfield behind our house. When the corn is harvested in the fall, the fieldmice seek warmth elsewhere. .:cold: That elsewhere was our house. They found our attic very hospitable. Once in a while we would hear them running around at night. party: Sean set glue traps and would catch a few each winter. Then one night we were awakened by them...a mouse was in the wall between our bedroom and bathroom. It must have fallen in there because it sounded like it was trying to claw its way out. We heard claw, claw, claw, then THUMP! (It fell back down). This went on for a little while - I don't know it the mouse gave up or we fell back asleep. We finally got fed up  and called in the professionals. First they trap/capture the animal to rid the house of unwanted visitors then they seal up & repair any openings. We've been mouse-free ever since. They only time we see a mouse is when we go to Florida: :mickeyjum

We got a thin coating of snow tonight. I thought that stupid Groundhog said Early Spring. He lives not too far away. I could probably drive there in an hour and drag that good-for-nothing varmint out of his hole and give him a piece of my mind.

Good night, going out groundhog hunting.
Christine

No, I wish! They are taking me on the Panama Canal May 08 cruise, :cool1:.
I am sofa surfing on the magic!

Good morning Moon Cruisers! A weekend to get things done around the house here in Pa. And, of course, some DIS time.
Sean

Good Morning everyone! I'm off to pick up the popcorn that Noah will be selling for cub scouts, then clean.... do some DISing... then to church tonight! I do NOT have to work today!

I started pricing our next cruise... gosh it's a tough decision!! Doing next years double dip Halloween cruise would be great but it's getting harder to justify pulling Noah out of school. Next year is second grade!

So... I'm thinking of cruising over Christmas. Leave Dec. 23rd - Noah won't miss any school and do 4 nights at WDW and the 7 night New Year's Cruise! That also allows me to only use 6 vacation days for 2008 and a couple days for 2009. OH MY GOSH... can I plan ANY FURTHER ahead?

GREAT NEWS! Noah got his report card this past week. They don't give "grades" at this level... it's all numbers 1 to 4... 1 being EXCEEDS and 2 being MEETS standards. He got all 1's and 2's! The teacher comments were awesome and he's already reached the reading level that he is supposed to achieve by the END of the school year. I couldn't be more proud!!

Yes. Judy and I made reservations for the Contemporary Resort Tower 12/23/99 - 1/3/00 in November 1992. Of course they would not guarantee rates, but we were guaranteed a room.

I text messaged Ronnie when I saw y'all talking about the storms here. I hadn't heard about them yet.

YAY Noah! Keep up the good work and your mom will HAVE to buy you something!

I think we're going to skip a cruise next year. Probably go to WDW during the summer for 10 days or so. It's still up in the air tho. I'd like to just stay around here *the beach is only 3 hour drive* and save some money, but I know Ethan will only be young once and I don't know how long he'll want to go to WDW. The beach will always be here, well, unless another Katrina comes. I don't know if it could recover again.

Anywho, we have to go get some paint for his pinewood derby car. He's going to stay with his dad tonight and I'm going to eat steak with the girls!

Oh, I have to get up at 0400 in the morning. I get to FLY on the medical helicopter all day tomorrow! My dream is to be a flight nurse, but the nurses/medics on AirCare LOVE their job and aren't going anywhere. I just get to fly and be an "observer" unless all hell breaks loose and they need an extra pair of hands.

With all the talk of rats/mice around here I just have to add my story. I went outside to get the paper this morning and noticed something on my doormat. Mamma Cat *her name per Ethan* had left me a nice surprise. A headless mouse! The head I found when I stepped on it!:scared1: She's a great cat. ALways leaving me presents. The boys came running up one day yelling "mamma cat has a big worm!" We all know it wasn't a worm. Thank goodness it wasn't poisonous.

I'll check back in later. Have a good day!pirate:

No such thing!
2008: Back to the BC or 7-night Halloween DD?
Others: A Repo Cruise
A longer AKL stay
Back to CR
WDW visit for DW's b-day, and see the holiday displays
Winter weekend get-away to WDW (for my b-day)
See other parts of the USA. (a Non-mouse vacation? :rotfl: )
Save for retirement :scared1: :lmao:

:groom:

How exciting Paula! I give you a LOT of credit for being a nurse. I do not have that ability. I was so over protective of Noah when he was little he didn't see BLOOD until he was almost 3. Daycare called because he scraped his knee and was hysterical! The director said "Kim, it's like he's never seen blood before!"... I hesitated for a moment and then said... "He hasn't!". Oh... did I get kidded about THAT one! :lmao:

Christine - did ya kill the varmit???

DH here...Christine chose to hibernate, instead of pursuing the varmint. It does look like the groundhogs in the corn field behind us were up this morning, shoveling the snow out of their burrows.

Intense research and negotiation going on here. :surfweb:
Growing likelihood of booking the 10/25/08 DD.
Researching rooms (DCL site is very busy).
Category 7 again, perhaps on deck 6? We've read in the Passporter that the cat 7 rooms are 42" deep on deck 5 (where we are this fall), but 48" deep on decks 6 and 7. But then we thought: what about a cat 6? With the more open verandah. So, while :bride: starts lunch (pizza), I'm off to ask our DIS friends if anyone has stayed in a category 6? Did they enjoy it? 6 or 7, whichever we do, we'll probably get something in the aft. We don't mind bringing up the rear. :lmao:
