October 27, 2007 - Cruising around the Moon - A Magical All Hallows Eve Part 3

Hi there.

So we have always done on a Thanksgiving cruise, however, this year it is stuffed full. So after about two weeks of looking at all our possible options and the fact that we love the Magic decorated for the holidays at 3pm today we decided why not celebrate Halloween on the Magic.

Now I am not currently holding a paid reservation in my hand because I am a teacher and that means I will need a 5 day vacation. So we decided not to pay until I talked to the principal and made sure she was not going to flip out on me.

However, 575 pages is a lot to read when we are only going to have 10 days to get ready. typically we give ourselves 4-6weeks to prep. I will not be making our quilt top to get signed so I do not have that stress.

As of now our party will be my, husband, and our 3 year old who is a seasoned cruiser. She will be playing with two of her favorite CM's in Flounders.

So we would love to join the fun if you will have us....off to take a few deep breaths....I cannot believe we are going to try and pull this off in such little time.

I hope you make it! Let me give you a synopsis of my life in the last 543 days or however long it's been since I've been posting...

I was single when I started posting, met a couple of icky guys, still single, have a demanding job, work too much, just got a big fat promotion and raise - have an 8 year old son that LOVES Disney.... Can't wait to meet all my new friends...

Holy Moly... that's over a year of my life and LOOK - it's all summed up in a paragraph...

Just watched My DGD Tiffany at her gymnastics class 31/2hrs how fit I would be if I didor could do that. Its a thrill to watch her. I packed 1 large suitcase withT&T and fish ex. stuff. I keep loseing things at least 1 thing at a time.

I can hardly work... I have a mental list going to add to the written list. Piles of stuff to pack are all over my house... I wake up in the middle of the night thinking about what we'll be doing in 8 days, or 10 days or 14 days... I'm going nuts!!!

NO - my DISBoards was not hijacked by DIZZI!

I'm going to Target tomorrow to get the printer ink (grrrrr... 3 stores in the last two days and no one had it in stock. Target is HOLDING it for me! I'll also pick up some final things.

Has anyone found the travel size of the Downy's Wrinkle Releaser? Fabric pens are needed for the Mat (of a Disney Picture frame to have the characters sign).... little trinkets for the Fish Extenders... I need a friend to go to Costco or Sam's to buy the phone cards for the CM's in the Oceaneer's Lab (Way less expensive for many more minutes) .... Um.... is somebody writing this down for me???

I found the travel size of downy's wrinkle release at Target in the regular laundry supply area (not the travel size bins).

I cannot fit all of our stuff for PRECRUISE..into ONE suitcase........darn darn darn (it is a small case).............take that up to 12 cases! UGHHH!
i dont know if we can fit it all in the Van i think we willhave to take out the back seat...............maybe i wont need all the suit cases i purchased and REALLy wont have 11 suitcases in my van.........



I had my first dream about being on a ship last night...........i kept thinking surley they will coem eventually...........Like running through the halls naked, with mickey and tigger chasing me........
But alas it was very normal dream and didnt seem to be too creative!

I make what I like to call the Spreadsheet O Fun for every cruise. It has the things that I know we will not changed typed in and then I bring a pencil to put the rest in. I do the schedule by the hour.

being a mac girl, I use the ical(endar) feature, so all my friends can see what I am doing, he he he.

Good morning Moonies! Nothing new happening here at all. Just waiting on next Wed so I can start packing . I know it sounds crazy but I'm kinda glad I only have one night to pack. I won't be freaking out trying to remember if I've already packed something. If it doesn't fit, I don't need it. LOL!

It's supposed to storm here this afternoon. The T word was mentioned (tornado). I just hope it waits until I get home to start. Nothing like storms in rush hour traffic!

Well, I woke up late and didn't get a chance to exercise. I'll have to do it when I get home. I may just walk the stairs a few times and get it in that way. I had to take a Benadryl due to sneezing last night and just couldn't drag myself out of the bed. Oh well, I probably needed the extra sleep!

I have a BIG downy wrinkle release.... I am hearing the sell it smaller.... guess I will add that too

I bagged our halloween stuff into indiv bags yesterday
ironed yesterday

DH ironed last night but NOT his cruise stuff.... he might need a new polo shirt... I inspected his yesterday...hmmm

DD needs fewer Disney Clothes, I think she has 7 tees in her pile already and I said she could bring 4! =-)

The kids have the count down going until we pull them from school at 12:15 next Friday....

did I just say NEXT FRIDAY!!! WOOOO HOOOOOO

I am soooooo ready to pack and GO!!!!

Okay. so I posted earlier today because my students were all taking the PSAT so I was just hanging out with a few kids. However, my post seems like it got eaten by cyberspace.

It is official. We are booked and paid. We are a Cat 5 and should have a room number tommorrow. We are hoping to have all our other info by Friday. Our docs are being mailed out in a day and we live very near the doc processing office so we hope to get those by Monday.

Our group is juse me (Michelle) Husband (John) and DD Jessica 3.
The rest did not want to take a week off of work.

I am slightly freakig out thinking of all I need to do. We have two days of Concerts at the studios, we want to take our daughter to SeaWorld one more time for some candy collecting, I have signs to make, I have lessons to plan, and maybe some sewing. And today we have company arriving to stay with us for a week and I am sure they will want shuttle service to WDW. But it is all ok because we are going on a Disney Cruise.

I was brainstorming with my kids a costume idea. I made my Pirate Night costume which I wear for Halloween. They suggested either wear a school uniform and go as a student or Hannah Montanna.

My plan is to try an make a fish extender. It is the only thing I have never made before for a cruise. I am not sure if I will embroider on it or not. What are you all using yours for. I saw lots of people were doing them. We planned on having "mickey and friends" deliver a daily gift to my daughter in them.

I would love to volunteer for you hunt, but it is smack in the middle of nap time....I hear that Disney frowns on leaving the little ones alone in the room.

I spent about two hours last night reading all the info and things you have planned. I think you guys are probably the most active and organized DIS group we have ever sailed with. Thank you for welcoming our family into your group.

Its only me so Im not going to pack until Thursday We leave Friday at 9:am then hummering it to the Raddison. I made something for my new friends, I was going to make more but since my eye surgery I cant do anymore. Im glad I made alot befor. Dosent seem like time is flying

CruzinCrzy, do you have that fun Sept. synopsis available to share? Sounds PERFECT for a schedule-crazy girl like me! I'm wandering around now online trying to find the Sept. Navigators... I just get too distracted and find other things to look at along the way!

Can't wait! Have been at several dollar stores getting tons of stuff per all your suggestions - also went to Halloween store and got all of us pirate outfits for pirate night!

Are all of you planning on dressing up for Halloween along with your kids? DH and I are planning our costumes now...
