Heck yeah! Jen (nenner1) has already volunteered to set it up for us. You'll find this to be a fun group. We'll try to set up some group excursions as well as a Dis only trick or treat for the kiddos!

Ron

Heck YEA!!! That was so much fun last time. I'm trying to convince the DH to go to Nachi Cocom again on our Oasis cruise But since we are doing the exact same itinerary for Halloween, I think mostly we'll just enjoy that ship more than the ports. But on the Fantasy, I'm up for those Group Things like we did in 2010. That was a BLAST!

Did we have a face book group back then? I don't remember. I do remember this DIS board group going to a PART 2 as we surpassed the maximum number of pages in thread! LOL.
A friend today asked if I was happy to be back from our Fantasy Cruise last month, regarding the weather. (keep in mind we came back to -39 Celcius weather and even today it's been -21). I told him, my way of coping with the cold was to plan another cruise!!

Hi how does the dis trick or treat work, and what kinda activities will be organised, chocolate/sweet exchange

Our Wonderful Jenn (nenner1) put it ALL together after gathering up some eager volunteers :) Here's a link to that part of her trip report, The Dis TOT:

You know one thing I will truly miss this time around (missed it last month too), is the Character Breakfast!! The Fantasy does NOT do Character Breakfasts!!! Perhaps the Island Jam Breakfast is something we can do as a Group? Just a thought :)

Wow Judy, if you can pull off putting a character breakfast for us, I'm all for it!:goodvibes

Hi how does the dis trick or treat work, and what kinda activities will be organised, chocolate/sweet exchange

Well... On past cruises, aside from the TOT and Fish Extenders, we've done group excursions. One was to an all inclusive beach in Cozumel called Nachi Cocum, our dis group booked the whole place pretty much to ourselves. On another cruise we did a Stateroom tour where several people from our group set up their rooms to be toured, to give people an idea of what types of rooms are like. The grande finale was the Walt Disney Suite. It's kind of tradition to meet up on the first day and have a grand gathering of everyone from the dis group (and families) followed by a group photo. We've done group lanyards in the past. That's one of the main reasons to have this thread, for everyone to come up with ideas...

So what's the chocolate/ sweets exchange? Sounds like fun!:goodvibes

Ron

OK Please add Janet and I to the roll call. If God is willing we will be joining everyone on this cruise. Now to add a new countdown!
Lois

I believe you were on another thread i was on before.

Happy to see you :thumbsup2

Ok, so its 20 months away.

ALOT can happen in 20 months.

I know first hand. I have surley had a lot happen to me in the last 20 months.

So i am going to hold on to this FANTASY as long as I can. I have yet to convince my DD to do this cruise for her 18th bday. BUT on the bright side, if we do a Fantasy Cruise it will most likely be this one.

Her draw back is missing school. And i totally understand that, If she doesnt have to miss 5 days of school, would be nice and there is usally a holiday and a 1/2 day in October, my fear is it will be the week before this cruise.

I dont think we will know that years school schedule for about :rotfl2: 14 months.

Yes I believe it was in 2010. Hopefully everything will work out for both of us.

Out TA already has us booked. We are in room 2032!

Lois, it just wouldn't be a Disney cruise without seeing you and Janet around every corner.:goodvibes I think this would be the 4th time that we've been on the same cruise... I'll start that roll call real soon!

Lynn, don't you remember??? You are among friends here! ;) You made a huge donation towards our trick or treat last time even though you couldn't make it. I think you'll wind up seeing quite a few familiar names here. We hope you'll be able to join us this time!

Ron

It's going to be so nice to see so many familiar faces on this cruise. And as always, to meet new friends! This is going to be great!:cool2:

Ron

Yes, Grandma4ever and Dizzi, we did all cruise together in 2010!! This cruise is building up allready to be another Blast!! :yay: I do hope everyone can stay!

minnie mad mum, which ship did you previously sail on and how long ago? What was your favourite thing about that cruise? (as if you can pick just one :thumbsup2 )

I'm trying to convince my daughter and son in law to join us with their babies, my twin grandbabies. Our first two cruises were with all 4 of our children, but children grow up and for one reason or another either can't (my eldest son) or just don't want to (my 15yr old). So glad my 9yr old still loves to cruise vs WDW or any other theme park. But now that my daughter has children of her own, she's back into it, and since we took them on the Fantasy last month for their Honeymoon, my SIL is now hooked on DCL!! He wants to go, but he wants to go back to San Juan.

Wow Judy, if you can pull off putting a character breakfast for us, I'm all for it!:goodvibes

Ron

Group Breakfast Yes, I think I can, Character, well, even I don't have THAT much pixie dust available to me. :)
Didn't we plan a PJ poolside breakfast on that 2010 cruise? I didn't make it to that one, but it might have been fun!!

I was wondering when this page was going to POP up! (Thanks Judy for sending me the link) So yes, we are totally back in for this cruise again. I'm Jonathan, my wife Amy, and son Adam are all in. This time though, I'm not forgetting my paperwork to anything I do in Mexico! :thumbsup2

We are in 9674 Aft Balcony, where I totally plan on throwing Margaritas over my balcony so Deck 7 can hold out there cups and catch the wonderful delights!! :wave2: Also I have promised myself to "act" my age at a certain restaurant (in GC) with a slide and not scare the living bejesus out of anyone in the pool below. :lmao:

No Characters?! whaaaaat?

Hi everyone, Ron that all inclusive beach sounds great, the chocolate/sweets exchange I have never done but on my last cruise it was suggested that at the dis meet we could all exchange chocolate/sweets from our home countries as we lived all over the world-Canada, America, United Kingdom, Dubai! It never happened various goodies were put in the FE instead.
My son Jacob loved all the wonka sweets as we can't get them in the Uk.

Hi justTJ we previously sailed on the dream in August 2012. That was our first cruise and apart from the only sea day being ruined by hurricane sandy we loved everything. I planned to spend the sea day sunbathing in the adults only area but we weren't allowed outside the ship. The theatre shows were top notch, all the characters meet and greets so cool.
I joined the dis last time and apart from the meet, FE and stateroom tour nothing else happened! So disappointed I only made one friend that I keep n touch with on Facebook.
Sounds like this cruise is going to be a blast and I really can't wait.

Count us in! Sooo happy to see everyone again! This is going to be even more fun the 2nd time around (and 3rd time without even knowing about it the first time)!! See you soon! :)

Please feel free to add us to roll call, Ron! :)

HE!! You made it here!!!! Let me know if you want to link Ressies for dinner. Tim would certainly love to hang out and be Goofy with Adam at mealtime (heck then we have our Characters for a group breakfast LOL ).

I vaguely recall the story you mentioned about a Slide and freaking people out, but now that YOU brought it up, you have to fill us all in on that again :p

You came to Nachi with us last time, did the taxi driver give you a hard time about Paperwork proving you had a ressie for Nachi? I had heard some won't even take you there without that paperwork. I assume thats what you are referring to? Or did the Nachi People give you the 3rd degree?

For our OASIS cruise in February, we WERE planning on staying on the boat instead of doing excursions in port BUT,,,, I was just thinking that in Cozumel, it might be worth checking out another ALL INCLUSIVE RESORT BEACH DAY. I've checked some out via Island Marketing, and there's many that look just as awesome. Two have several pools and one has snorkeling equipment and water toys included and are the same price as NACHI. So EVERYONE, let me know if you'd like me to check out another place, and then perhaps based on my report and other reviews online, we can make a GROUP excursion for that again in Cozumel :) :thumbsup2
