Getting my Disney fix tomorrow night (we're going to Napa Rose at the GCH) and then Disneyland Wednesday for my b-day....

THEN I need to start working on my fish extenders (so much to do, so little time)...

I noticed that they have updated the times for our ports in the itinerary online, and it says that Ashore for Cozumel is 8:00am and Onboard is 4:45pm and Grand Cayman says Ashore 11:00am and Onboard is 4:30pm.
That is not going to leave us much excursion time in Grand Cayman!!! I guess we will have to stick to Shopping, much to DH and DS's dismay if the times don't change too much.
I guess once we get within the booking window for excursions they may update with the ones that can and can not do???? Oh well, us overplanners can figure this out! Right?

Might be time to call DCL and find out directly from someone what is when. And the various times.

A stop that short at GC might discourage us from doing a shore excursion there.

Well, we have about a month before we have to pay in full and my DH has lost his job.....damn damn damn!!!

I don't want to cancel this cruise, I will be so depressed if we have to

I am still trying to convince him that we should go anyway but he is very practical and does not seem to into going if he doesn't have a job. I say life is too short and we should just do it!

He has been out of work for 1 month already and hasn't even gotten a job interview yet. Hopefully something will happen soon or we may not be joining you.

No i dont think i am going to do a trip report.

I tried to do one last year and it just isnt my thing.

I have to say My OCTOBER cruise last year was MUCh better, and in soem ways i feel i missed out on a little bit By not having table mates from DIS, it was soooo awesoem to have that last year and we really enjoyed talking and sharing our day with dissers at dinner. it also made it flow so much nicer even if there was a waiting for anything it didnt seem like it.

DH and i seemed to run out of things to talk about mid way through dinner soem nights. And kids did dinner with us one time. So we were alone at a 4 top.

The other thing i learned was if i cant afford a verandah i wont go!

Amy, life has been crazy here the last few days. Catching up on work, end of month bills, check deposits, quarterlies and Fed/State taxes due....moving my dad back into his apartment, trying to get him discharged as soon as possible.....the list goes on and on...

Anyway, I haven't forgotten you! I just wasn't able to get the book in the mail yet! I will TRY my hardest to make it to the post office tomorrow. I have to do grocery shopping for dad, unpack and set up his apartment, wait for Verizon to come set up the tv and computer sometime tomorrow....and handle both of the kids since Ed will be in Old Town all day tomorrow!!

Hope you understand, but I WILL get it to you soon!!

We're right there with you. I lost my job May 2nd and I'm actually making decent on unemployment so I'm just staying at home until I can make more by going to work

Luckily we had paid off our land portion, now we just have to finish the cruise. I will not let anything come between me and Mickey.

The cruise MUST go on. I'm a little looney when it comes to my Disney fix.

I figure that I'll have to go back to work as soon as we get back from vacation as my unemployment runs out while we're on vacation so I had better enjoy the break.

Does anyone know if the cruise had to be paid for in order to have rec'd the documents that everyone has been getting?

I just spoke to my DH and he decided that we are going to pay for the trip and buy the insurance "just in case". This way if he either can't get off from a new job or he has no job, at least we will not be out the money.

I got my documents in the mail today and we have not paid in full yet. It was just a letter and a packet that explained the different excursions and things you could buy, what you should pack....honestly, I think you get more information from the Disney cruiseline website.

BTW, is everyone planning on dressing up in costumes?
