Last night was a good night's sleep but one out of however many....oh, need to be on that cruise NOW!

Last day of work!!!!!!! Only 7.5 hours left of work then at 4:30pm vacation begins!! However, we are watching the weather for flying thru Chicago tomorrow. Right now it is raining like crazy here and should be over there by tomorrow. Hopefully no flight delays.

Safe travels to everyone. Can't wait for Saturday!!

Well thanks to a very light OR schedule and way too many nurses on... I am officially on vacation!!!!! My manager was looking to send someone home I waved my hands high and proud!!! ME! ME! ME! I hope that I can get things finished today and take tomorrow off (or at the very least leave at Noon) FOR CHRIST'S SAKE PEOPLE, THE CHURCH WILL NOT COLLAPSE WITHOUT ME HERE! Why is it at raise time, they say they can get a new secretary easily, but when it comes time for me to go on vaca they beat down my door with torches and pitchforks?

Hmmmm.... they didnt when I have a pedi two cruises ago... then again I booked it the night before after a long day walking around St. Maarten!

Perhaps because of our REAS in the past, I think we got a print-out of our onboard scheduled activities in our stateroom. Got tickets (like for a sports event) for all other excursions.

I know...one more thing to do, but NOT mandatory...if you have the time, and think you'll be rebooking onboard, visit the dcl site (or All Seasons, or whomever your TA is) and price it out now. That way, you've got an amount in mind when looking at the rebooking info onboard.

For example: we've got a post-it note in the Passporter now with 2 different 2010 cruises, and the cat 6 & 7 prices for them. Took me a bit to plot out my weekends to work, but if we can get some $ off, a DCL room credit, and a TA room credit, we'll take it.

Just a thought. No stress. Now, I must go work with the cruise box, and the Max info sheet for Mom and Dad, who are gracious enough to come down and spend time with him in our absence.

And here is the update on the tropics: things are looking better! The item they're watching will likely go through FL some time between Thursday and Saturday (seriously, don't they realize we're going on a cruise and need DETAILS??), but it will be mostly a rain event, and likely will not be tropical in nature. I know that may be disappointing for those visiting Disney, but maybe if we all cross our fingers, it will stay dry at Disney most of the time? Anyway, it shouldn't effect the cruise itself, which is good. It'll affect the folks stuck at home on the east coast with some nasty weather, but I can't bring myself to worry about them. I think my brain's gone on vacation already.

Why isn't it Saturday yet??? Except for a few more magnets that I hope to print, I think I'm ready to go. Oh, well, I suppose the in-laws still need to arrive, too. I sure hope they weren't expecting a nice, clean house, because my house is worst right before and after a vacation, I can't believe the amount of mess I make with packing. I mean, honestly, did I always think I was going to pack that much stuff? Well, ok, yes, I did, but 6 bags is plenty for the 3 of us. I guess I need to at least get the guest room presentable again before Friday! Here's the big question: is that more or less important than finishing our door magnets? Hmmm...

Just got off the phone with Val. They had no problems with their flights, everything went great and having a good time at AK today! They actually were "DREAM'D" with all day FastPasses!!!!! How cool is that?!?!??! This is their first time at AK so they are able to basically walk onto whatever ride now with the FPs!!!

Well, her vacation is starting just MAGICal, wouldn't you say?!
