Andie, Jeff, Derek and Devon

Andie, welcome back to Cruise land!! That is a long trial! I'm going to assume you were in the jury?

I do have you signed up already to help with Trick or Treating on the ship and your two boys (Devon and Derek) signed up for ToT. Just send a PM to Sarah with your info and she can add you to the list for FE4.

Glad to have you back; now go pack!

Good afternoon everyone! Just wanted to pop in and say I heard from my SIL in Indiana, and her cruise docs have arrived! Woohoo!!!
:cool1:

PS: I don't know who I tell to update the master list of cruisers back at the beginning, but our cabin #s are 7108 and 7110. :)

You know, I didn't realize that this was the 1st day of the 3 day Breast Cancer walk. I noticed a ton of people walking with banners and thought, this is weird, picketers here?

Then I was really puzzled when I saw a guy on a big motorcycle wearing a huge pink fuzzy hat (ala Pam Anderson) and some other strange looking guys there on motorcycles (another in a kilt with a bright pink shirt).

Then I saw some of the women. Pink tutus over pink leggings, pink capes (think superman style), just some really strange getups that looked like they'd been in the kids dress up clothes again!

Why is it that I looked at these people first and didn't think Breast Cancer walk? Wow, really strange. I've just usually seen the pink or red shirts not this.

I must say though, there are a lot of walkers out there! Hooray! You can do it!!!

**Our thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by breast cancer.

. . . Have a safe trip. . .

What a great trip! Hope you are having a blast!
Thanks for the well-wishes.

Disneyland Hong Kong is only three years old, and has some of the best technology and effects.

Disneyland Paris has the most elaborate and charming Main Street. We ate at the Blue Lagoon restaurant (next to the Pirates of the Caribbean), and the food was absolutely outstanding. It was worlds apart from the food at Disneyland Resort California.

NEW TRICK OR
TREATERS

Please let me know if I've left anyone out, but between those who posted and those who sent PM's this is the list....

Maryrn11168 - 5 children
Shellcruiser - 2 children ages, 10 & 8
Domjans - 2 children, ages 4 & 2
AmesDizney - 2 children, ages 9 & 5
Bbaltes - 1 child, age 5

If I have missed anyone, please post asap!!!! The TOT organizers are trying to figure out the best way to add your kids, and what you will need to do, so will keep you posted.

As for the QOTD - our normal weekend involves driving the kids to their activities - whether sports, bday parties, friends' houses; trying to get caught up on some housework (I always say we live like pigs by the end ot the work week!); and Church on Sunday mornings. If we're lucky, we usually go to a friend's house for supper and socializing Saturday night, or invite people in. And every Sunday my Dad cooks dinner (we call it dinner here -most people would consider it lunch) - roast chickens, dressing, all the veggies - and my brothers' and their families come for dinner. Wait - forgot one important thing - the normal weekend here now involves me glued to the computer on chat :surfweb: on Saturday night!!

Janice - sorry to hear you are unwell - sending some :wizard: for a quick recovery and a  because you probably need one!

I have just returned from urology OPD and fortunately the results of my tests were all ok - the symptoms are also improving and the registrar thinks that it was actually caused by a bad UTI which didn't respond to antibiotics but eventually I will sort it out myself. Nothing physiologically wrong, apart from the gynae dept. (prolapse) , and he didn't even think that was too bad - no surgery required yet - so thats great news!

Hope you had good news from your appt too Jenn!

note to self: "Self, buy pessary for Sarah's FE"
just kidding.

Alas, the trials and tribulations the accompany the merit badges of womanhood.

(((hugs)))

You know, a prolapse could put traction on your bladder, causing inflammation or inability to fully empty, then stasis, then rich nutrient medium for bacteria.

I know you already know this, but you and I aren't the only princesses here who've borne children.....

I'm sorry there wasn't a quick, easy to manage answer for you. That must be very frustrating for you.:grouphug:

Jenn, does the photopass work for the cruise as well or just the parks? I thought they had not yet added the cruise ships.

I need some expert opinions! If we plan to book another cruise for next year is it best to book on board, or thru Dreams Unlimited, or our travel agent? We booked onboard last year but just wondering if there are better deal? I know you can book onboard and then transfer the reservation with another travel agent who may also offer additional credits? Anyone had any great deals? Please inform!

 Speaking of bladders...:scared1: I can relate..My bladder was cut in half during my c-section, hense the long trial.....The Dr. now practices veterinary medicine in Guatamala....No more babies here...
Especially on a weekend, at a teaching hospital, in July.

Can't wait to test it's capacity with the DOTD, on the Magic...:cloud9:

Oooooh! Guess you weren't on the jury! WOW! So sorry and so glad for you...sorry you went through this and glad that it's over.

Tonight in VERO BEACH, right after talking to you stefanie, i spotted the DCL bus driving eat on SR60! wondering why in the world it would in VERO, do they pick up people from the Disney Resort? and if they do, why at 6pm? anyway, i got a pic on my iphone, but just as it was passing me:sad2:

microsoft word to do the names, i couldnt figure out how to do it with photoshop.

I am doing a catchup on reading older posts, so if someone has already answered this, I apologize for repeating it. But here's how to do filled letters in photoshop/photoshop elements:

Start a new, blank project -- it's likely best if you use a white background. Choose a font that is nice and chunky, make it big, and type your name. Now under File, choose Place, and find the picture you want to use and double click on it. Resize if necessary so that it covers your entire word.
Now, you do what's called a clipping mask. All you have to do is Ctrl-G. Voila! You're done :)

Hope that helps and I am sorry if I'm repeating what someone else has already done. That's the problem when you're reading old posts and trying to catch up!! :upsidedow

Since we are talking formal night...For you previous cruisers did you see any military wearing their blues? (dress up military wear)

I am not sure if my DH should wear that or just a suit? He does not have a tux.

Also Sarah tried to pm you but your box is full! I wil try again tonight.

Again...........playing catchup.............

In Palo last year, we had dinner on our anniversary which conveniently coincided with formal night. There was a dashing young military man in Palo in his dress uniform. He and his wife (girlfriend??) looked fantastic :)

Okay after much searching and making my eyes crossed...:surfweb:

I have found out that hockeychic is very active on another cruise thread. She is cruising on 10/24/09 from the following post i would safely assume she is no longer going on this cruise.
http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=25166579&postcount=40
I also found a post that she will be in WDW from 10/18/08 until 10/26/08.

Just wanted to update everyone who has tried to contact her or has her on their FE list
