October 25, 2008 Halloween on the High Seas (2)

Okay after much searching and making my eyes crossed...:surfweb:

I have found out that hockeychic is very active on another cruise thread. She is cruising on 10/24/09 from the following post i would safely assume she is no longer going on this cruise.
http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=25166579&postcount=40
I also found a post that she will be in WDW from 10/18/08 until 10/26/08.

Just wanted to update everyone who has tried to contact her or has her on their FE list

Dana

:worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: Thank you Dana! :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship:

note to self: "Self, buy pessary for Sarah's FE"
just kidding. Alas, the trials and tribulations the accompany the merit badges of womanhood.

(((hugs)))

You know, a prolapse could put traction on your bladder, causing inflammation or inability to fully empty, then stasis, then rich nutrient medium for bacteria. I know you already know this, but you and I aren't the only princesses here who've borne children.....

I'm sorry there wasn't a quick, easy to manage answer for you. That must be very frustrating for you.:grouphug:

Thanks for the good wishes and the advice, but I might just give the pessary a miss! :rotfl: I have never done so many pelvic floor exercises (which is probably why I am now destined for prolapse city!) Apologies everyone if this is too much information!

QOTD: What does a "normal" weekend look like to you and your family?

Unfortunately there is no such thing as a normal weekend around here as DH and I both work shifts and often are working. If we are off we tend to get together with friends on a Friday evening, have a family dinner (generally pizza) on the Saturday with the kids while watching the "X Factor" on TV and then a DVD movie. Sunday we tend to go to my Mum's house for a family dinner at lunch time and may do something like a walk or go out in the afternoon, depending on the weather. Amongst that we have to fit in DD's ballet point class and then she also helps to teach baby ballet on a Saturday and has dance rehearsals Saturday afternoon. There is also housework and laundry and preparation for school on the Monday. We are always very rushed!

Jenn - I have already paid up front for a photopass CD for when we are in the parks - the only way to get photos with me in them as I am always behind the camera! I now just have to persuade the DSs that they really do want lots of photographs with characters!:rotfl:

Andie - I have added your family to group 4 - and so sorry to hear about your bladder  - thats horrendous! I assist in a lot of C/Sections and can't belive that a surgeon could be that useless ! :scared1: :scared1:

Woody - sounds like you are having an amazing time - I love Disneyland Paris and love the Blue Lagoon restaurant - we have had some wonderful meals there and the atmosphere is fantastic! The kids used to love waving at the people on the pirate boats passing by! We hope to visit Hong Kong Disneyland one day - we have friends who live on Lantau Island and they can see the fireworks from their kitchen window.

   to Janice and Nelson and Aneille's children and anyone else feeling  at the moment. My DS Daniel has a cold and no doubt will be sharing it with the rest of us before too long! We are also on the vitamins!

Ok guys. So as most of you know I made my FE and it came out ok, just had to add names to it. Well last night I tried to use that puffy paint stuff. NOT A GOOD IDEA. Now i have to make a new one.:rotfl: But i just got a conf. that my docs are on their way!!!!!

Usual weekend for the Gluttons?

I'm usually working days for hospice or nights for the NICU.

whilst the others lay about and create messes for me to clean up when I get home.

(Can you tell I'm cleaning up after them today? LOL)

Seriously, we try to escape to the beach or WDW on the weekends I can break free, to hide from the phones and demands.

Otherwise it is always playing catchup. I generally stay up pretty late during the week trying to clean, do laundry, paperwork, etc so it doesn't suck up all of my time off when I do get a day off.

Headed to my brother's football game.... :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Then off to the craft store while Nelson takes Dsis and Dlittlest bro to a NE Revolution Soccer Game! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Woohoo.... Nelson got paid yesterday AND I am going to the craft store without his "adult supervision"... :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Watch out people ~ this woman has a debit card and she knows how to use it! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

See you in chat tonight!:surfweb:

HELLO EVERYONE,
I have been lurking for a while. I'm Aneille's sister and my family is cruising with all you guys. You all seem like a very fun group.:cool1:

I am doing a catchup on reading older posts, so if someone has already answered this, I apologize for repeating it. But here's how to do filled letters in photoshop/photoshop elements:

Start a new, blank project -- it's likely best if you use a white background. Choose a font that is nice and chunky, make it big, and type your name. Now under File, choose Place, and find the picture you want to use and double click on it. Resize if necessary so that it covers your entire word.
Now, you do what's called a clipping mask. All you have to do is Ctrl-G. Voila! You're done :)

Hope that helps and I am sorry if I'm repeating what someone else has already done. That's the problem when you're reading old posts and trying to catch up!! :upsidedow

Jackie, I'm so glad I wasn't repeating what someone else had already answered. I can try to help anyone with photoshop/photoshop elements if I can. I'm pretty handy in it but I sure don't know everything. :)

We liked the Blue Lagoon so much that we went back again.

I think you would enjoy HK Disneyland. The firework show is spectacular with some very impressive choreography.

Woody your trip sounds wonderful

Welcome! Good to see you come out of lurkdom! Please tell us more about yourselves so we can get to know you better! (I'd hate to go through the whole cruise calling you Kim's sister....lol!)

Hi everyone, Christine here. Sean is working extra tonight, so he's not in chat. But he wanted me to mention that we have started. We got out our packing lists from last year as a guide. For me, it will be mostly the same, just some editing to the list. My dresses still fit :cool1: I probably have the dog to thank...he keeps me active. I might buy one new dress (gotta have one new thing) ;) Sean and I have been exchanging ideas for our door decorations...we each have our own ideas and it sounds like he wants to surprise me with something:upsidedow He likes to keep me guessing!

Christine

Two things...

1. Frogs - Although I don't collect them like I used to before the money drains...ah, I mean, my darling children :rotfl: came along, I still try and get one if I travel somewhere different. I have them from Scotland, England, Jamaica, Miami, WDW, St. Thomas.... Will keep an eye out this trip as well.

2. I also try and get a Christmas ornament from each new place I visit. It makes decorating the tree each year a trip down memory lane!

Must go check in on chat now...

Valerie
