October 25, 2008 Halloween on the High Seas (2)

I just hit the Dollar store for Halloween window clings and such. I think they will stick to those metal doors. If not, no big loss.

Good Idea - I am going to head over to the dollar store and see what I can find I actually have a cruise box now! I started putting some things as I think of them in the box. I think I'll pull out the suitcases next weekend!

Yeah! We have ALL of our cruise documents now!!! Wow, panic mode on that can decrease!!!

Here is a question for the group.

A couple of days ago, I picked up a plastic Halloween Door Cover.
I didn’t open it up, but I thought it might be good, because said it had door loops for the corners, which should help to secure it.

I thought I could put it on for Halloween day (or at least Halloween Night).

But then I thought of two possible problems.

1) I know you can put magnetic pictures and stuff on the cabin doors.
But can you cover the whole door???

2) This thing has either sound or movement activation. It flashes two small lights, and makes typical Halloween sounds when activated.
I thought that was fun, but now I am wondering…
Even thought the sound is not very load, do you think this will freak out young kids, old folks and the Non-Halloween types walking down the narrow hall???

I'm posting from my iPhone at the dentist office! LOL I think the doorcover is a great idea! Just wondering about not being able to see your room number. As far as. Covering. Your whole door, I see happening all over the boards. Go for it!

Ames Disney1 _ noticed you have a 9yo son Me too, nervous he will not meet up with anyone in the kids clubs. My DD, and other DS will have each other and he will be by himself. We should try to get them to meet!! Any others with kids the same ages??

Another note, Got my dress for the formal night- Thank God for SPANX!!! I cant believe its Oct 1st the days are going to fly by now!! I have so much to do. And since a new FE group seems to be forming I need a FE!!!!! Off to work!! Mary

My youngest DS is also 9 - and he is in the same boat - pardon the pun . It would be great if we could link them up quickly - my DS finds it hard to mix with kids he doesn't know, and didn't enjoy the clubs last time because of it. Hoping he'll make friends this time - would mean more adult time !

As for docs - won't get mine for another week at least - e-mailed my TA . Did find my folder of stuff from last cruise, so will have to comfort myself by looking at that.

And lastly - have you heard what I call SPANX?....

Oh, VAL! I laugh everytime I hear this!!!!!!! Shhh....have to be quiet 'cause Ed and Ameera are napping.....you need to put a warning on these!!! Good thing I wasn't drinking anything or it would have been all over my laptop screen!!

Problem with these is that I'm so short that if I wear them they make me fall over....everything gets squished up and I become top heavy!!!!!!

I don't think covering the door is an issue. The lights and sound sound cool - but make sure you deactivate it at night so that it doesn't wake up your neighbors. They may not like the sound as much late at night!

I finally got my cruise docs too!!!

I originally booked through Disney and transferred to Dreams, but this came directly through Disney just like all of my other docs have. Not sure why some go to the TA and some don't. But I am just glad to have them in my hands now!!!

I asked my TA about the docs when everyone first started receiving them. She told me yesterday that SHE requested them to come straight to me - to save time and postage! So, it's not DCL but the TA who determines this. I'm not complaining, so happy to have them ALL finally!!! WHOOHOO!!

I just got home from work and there they were tucked in between the doors!!!! I'm so excited. I printed out an October calander with a disney Halloween background, I circled the 25th and Hung it on the frig, Then I found some Disney stickers and I told the kids each day someone can place another sticker on the calendar to count down until the days until we leave!!

I am almost done with my magnets,
need to know about T-shirts,
ordered FE,
will look thru oriental trading tonight
have to start going thru clothes ( i wish it would get a little cooler in NY so the kids will stop wearing shorts, and t's and I can start to put stuff to the side!!)

I have been unable to participate in a chat night yet, I just need to know when they are?? Thanks!!

ANOTHER huge suprise for me today!!! Just went back and re-read the Airtran policy on baggage. They changed it from travel date to booking date so we can now have TWO bags per person at no charge!!!

OH MY GOSH CAN THIS DAY GET ANY BETTER?!?!?!?!?!?!?
