October 24th or November 14th for crowds?

Ok, we have it narrowed down to five days (weekdays only to avoid weekend crowds). Week of October 24th or November 14th. Which do you think is best for low crowds if that is the only priority? Our kids are young and did not enjoy Epcot or AK so we will be skipping both this trip as it is a shorter trip. I envision 2 MK days, 1 water park day (if warm enough - no big deal if not), and maybe a half day at HS. We will not be attending the Halloween or Christmas parties (went to the Christmas one in December - will skip this time).

Which week do you think is best for lower crowds? I think I am avoiding the October school break with this week....

We went this past November from the 6 to the 17. Touring plans had predicted that time frame to be 4-5. From Wednesday the 11th till Monday the 16th it was between 7-8. It felt hot and crowded for that time of year. I don't know what October 24 is like. Expect big crowds and choose if you prefer Halloween or Christmas. I'm changing my time of year to visit to a time with later hours. If I have to deal with big crowds anyway , I at least want longer park hours.

Are you interested in the Food and Wine Festival and Halloween decorations? If so, then I would go for the October dates. I'm thinking crowd-wise, those weeks may be pretty similar.

We've been during both times - week before Thanksgiving in 2013 and 2014, and last week of October in 2015. In terms of crowds, its six of one, half a dozen of the other IMO. No noticeable difference in terms of feels or wait times for me, so I say go with whatever week works best for you.

I will say that both times we've been in November, we've had bad luck with the weather. Seems to be a crap shoot that time of year if it will be warm or cold. October was still in the mid-80s while we were there, and I think there's a higher probability you'll get warmer weather still in October. The times we have been in November required jackets and we got almost no pool time in.

Also, chance of Christmas decorations versus Fall/Halloween decor. Food & Wine and MNSSHP in October, and MVMCP if you choose November.

Lastly, the later you go, the less daylight there is. Although it doesn't really matter for park hours/parade times, etc when looking at these two time frames.

Been going between at this time of year for the past 8 years...actually switch between the two of them to get more time out of our AP's. I personally think the mid-November dates have less crowds, as it was CRAZY this past Halloween (we were there 10/28 to 11/7). Weather this year was not a concern with higher-than-normal temps, but I do agree the later you go in November the more chance of a 'chilly' day. With that being said, I can count on one hand how many chilly days we've had in 8 years--so it is not that much of a concern. You will miss Food and Wine (not sure if that is a concern), but on the other hand you will have most of the Christmas decorations up by mid-November, and the MVMCP parties.

For less crowds....November 14th for sure! There are a TON of fall breaks in October, it is pretty crowded.

Thanks everyone! We will not be going to Epcot at all so F&W is not an issue. Also, we don't care about decor as I have been there every time of year over the years. Won't be attending any special events with the kids this time. Just care about crowds and will not be going on weekends at all this time .... it is a Mon through Friday trip. :0
