...there always seems to be another deadline to beat but, I love deadlines. I especially like the whooshing sound they make as they go flying by. :rotfl2:

Everyone remember when your parents and even now with our own kids, they would take you on a trip? :moped: From the time you left the driveway they would ask "are we there yet", :bored: that's how I feel now, waiting to see what's new on the ship and for next Saturday to roll around, :hyper: well here is something to do until the time comes, go to , http://fun.from.hell.pl/2003-11-24/bubblewrap.swf . :yo-yo: its a complete waste of time but it will give you something to do till cruise time gets here. :grouphug:

Bubble wrap.....yee haw...I will be entertained for days now...forget the elephant stew (I don't have a trunk to put his in anyway) :rotfl:

Whew! Well, Peyton's party is over. Everything went just fine. Now I can start concentrating on packing!!! I am the worst when it comes to packing, always waiting for the last minute & never using a list (although I make up several)

Timon, looks like you are having a blast! I have been wanting to try Discovery Cove. I have heard it is soo worth it.

Pdarrah, thanks for doing the website! You really did a great job!!

Scrapperjill, thanks for the buttons! I am sure they are beautiful!!!

Well, I am sure the boards will be going crazy this week with all the last minute plannings & questions!

It is amost here!!! :cheer2:  :cheer2:

Has anyone done the Stingray City Observatory and Island Tour?

My husband is deathly afraid of water (yet he grew up in the Navy) but we would still like to do this. I didn't know if it was worth it or not. Right now we don't have anything planned for GC.

For those who haven't seen this site and would like to see what's happening at the pirate party, check out this site.

We're going to Mickey's not so scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom on Friday? Is anyone else going to be there.

Happy packing to all.

Dyerneeds,

Thanks for the site! We were on the cruise for Pirate night last year, but due to bad weather it was held inside and was very crowded! Hopefully we will have nicer weather this year!

We are doing MNSSHP on Friday also.

Howdy all....

I hate to be a killjoy in all this fun and excitement...but has anyone watched the Weather Channel today? WILLLLLMAAAAAA!!!!! is now forming around the Cayman Islands. They said the conditions are favorable for it to become a hurricane in a few days  , when it gets into the Western Yucatan...then push toward Florida (as that's the way the winds are moving). Okay...I know these things move slow and we're only a week away. What happens if there is a hurricane in the middle of the Carribean when were about to set sail? Are there alternate routes of travel??? I'm not happy right now.....I'm hoping for the best here.

I just read about Wilma and someone currently on the Magic said it has been very rocky. This is not good news to me. I hope "Wilma" dies down or comes and goes by the time we're there. We fly out Wed so I have a feeling we'll be in the middle of something.

I would plan on being open-minded that our itenary might change in order to stay out of the storms way. Hope everyone has insurance. Let's just stay positive and say our prayers!

We are planning on going to MNSSHP Friday night. Our first time so we're excited.

In the spirt of Disney, :rolleyes2 (When you wish upon a star, the wish that you make will come true.) :goodvibes Ok everyone, let all wish this hurricane away, call in all favors, cash in all coupons, even use any Pixie Dust you have laying around, we need this vacation, :rolleyes1 also we need a contigency plan, soooooo bring rope, there are plenty of polls and railings on board ship where we can anchor ourselves down, if you want to wonder aboard ship add a couple of extra feet of rope. :rotfl2:

Well, we all knew that it could happen, right? Last September we sailed in between hurricanes Ivan & Jeanne. We didn't know until the last minute where we would sail out of, because Port Canaveral was closed. Luckilly they got it back open the day before we left. Otherwise we the Magic would have left out of Port Everglades (Ft. Lauderdale, I believe). If you booked your port transfers through Disney, they would drive you to Port Everglades. However if you were doing your own transfers, it was your responsibility to get there.

Of course our itinerary was changed....did not make Key West, Cozumel or GC. We first went to San Juan instead. Then we were supposed to be diverted to St. Thomas, but Jeanne was too close behind us. So we made a mad dash for the Bahamas. We went to Nassau and then CC. Thankfully we were able to get to CC...it had been so ravaged that prior cruises were not able to stop there. But from what I heard they worked around the clock to get things back up and running. And we had a great day there. We had nice weather almost the entire time. I think rain only one night.

So hopefully we'll make it to our scheduled stops this time around. If not, we'll still have a great time!

But I will keep an eye on that Wilma!

Well, one thing I've learned living here on the Gulf Coast is not to worry too far out. So many things can happen. Hopefully "Wilma" or whoever it is will peter out before it's a problem for us. Otherwise, maybe we'll have a surprise cruise like some of the rest of you... you didn't REALLY want to do the Western itinerary anyway, did you? :rotfl2:

In the meantime, they have the danged thing heading my way again eventually. If that doesn't change, guess we'll be leaving our window boards in the garage for my poor FIL to deal with if need be!

We are surprising the kids by going to our first MNSSHP Friday night too. I can't wait! :cheer2:

Hello to all again. Not that I want the cruise spoiled for any of you but I (and dont' tell my Deborah) kind of like the idea of a mystery cruise if weather so dictates. :duck: But I do know that most everyone has plans for the scheduled ports (we are just planning on wandering the ports) so i will wish for :wizard: to make the cruise go as planned. I think we are going to start packing tomorrow.

Oh no, Wilma!!!!!!!!! Well, I will keep my fingers, toes, eyes and everything else I can think of crossed. If she does become bothersome I know firsthand that Disney will make it a wonderful trip regardless. We were on the same cruise as Threesmiths last year and while we didn't make our scheduled stops still had a great time. Oh, and on one of the nights the Captain even had free drinks on deck for a couple of hours (just for our inconvenience) - and boy were they good!!

Kathy

Wilma!!! Hm...I guess a mystery (AGAIN) wouldn't be the end of the world. Like American Scrapper and Threesmiths..I too know first hand the Disney will make the most out of the bad weather....and give us a wonderful cruise not matter what. Just keep an open mind. I REALLY want to make GC to do the stingray city...So I'm keeping all my fingers and toes crossed. ;) Although I really wouldn't mind the free drinks again :p

We picked Thursday for MNSSHP...but have seriously thought of going on Friday also. However I don't think I'd be able to talk the rest of the group into it...and we were planning on heading to DTD that evening. :earboy2:

Hi all! I've been watching "wilma" (still not official) form for the last day or so. Actually, I think the news is 'improving' a bit for us. At first it was forming so slowly and not moving at all and they were speculating that is would just sit there for days and become a major hurricane before starting to move and it looked like it would still be in that vacinity next weekend. NOW the models are showing it picking up speed and it looks like it may be moving into the gulf by Friday - not good news for the gulf (and possibly western Florida) but if it does work out that way (and these are just very early predictions) if would be out of the way before we head that direction....

We are almost done packing!!!! It has taken just about all day. Of course, part of the reason it takes so long is that we have to find stuff, iron stuff, notice that that drawer is a mess so lets straighten it out while were at it, and so on! :rotfl2:

Kathy, we came in on the tail of a hurricane one year, the Captain tried about 4 times to get Castaway Cay without any luck, so we spent an extra day at sea and they threw a party that lasted most the day and a good time was had by all. The only bad part of this is if they have to change ports, the people who didn't book thru Disney. The weather was just on and they reported that storm #24 Wilma is reforming but it looks like it will track the west side of Florida. I hope its over by cruise end as we are scheduled to go to the park for 3 days after the cruise. :umbrella:

Hi ScrapperJill - you aren't the only one for Thursday MNSSHP - that is when we are going. If you see a group of 5 pirates, that's us!

We're not dressing for MNSSHP. I'm afraid my husband wouldn't go that far. I'm probably lucky I talked him into dressing for dinner. :rotfl2:
We'll watch out for everyone and say hi if we recognize you.

:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:
You know, there's a joke in our family that we jinx every cruise we go on. I'm hoping it's not going to be Wilma.

The last thing I read is that it is traveling WNW and should reach the gulf by thursday or friday. You can't get any more vague than that. We all know what those warm Gulf waters do to a storm.

Maybe we'll get lucky and it will stay well north and west of our path by Saturday night. At least we're going to Key West first. That will give it a little extra time to get out of our way. (It's hard to believe it could hook around and go completely east and go to Key West.)

COME ON TINK... LET'S HAVE A LITTLE OF THAT PIXIE DUST!

It's true... Disney will make the best out of a bad situation.
