Things that go "bump" in the night......

My foot on the bed and our DIS thread thanks to our UK friends.

Thought I'd give us a bump before going to bed. Gotta get up early for a board meeting.

Good night.

Surprisingly, I have a question..........

What about transferring my ressie to a TA? Is it worth it? How do I do it? Will the TA (USAA) think I am nuts? Will I still get the 10% discount and onboard credit?:confused3

Sorry about all the questions, but I just received a travel magazine from USAA in the mail and it has me thinking.....:scratchin

I am getting my travel insurance with them, so I guess I could ask when I call tomorrow. I just wanted a few "expert" opinions before I called.:surfweb:

Y'all have a great night (day for the UK folks)!:goodvibes

Oh, and more "dust stuff" for Karen!pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Beautiful baptism pics, Cass! It looks like it was a very happy day. Congrats.

Paige

Good Morning Paige,

We booked this cruise onboard our Oct 05 cruise and got the $200.00 onboard booking credit from DCL. We then transferred our ressie to AAA and received another $150.00 credit on top of the one from DCL. So for a $350.00 credit who cares if they think you're nuts!:lmao:

Also, I'm sure if you tell your TA that you're a DISer, they'll understand. We are a crazy bunch of Disney fans aren't we?:joker:

Cass Stunning pictures of Kira, :thumbsup2 I love the black and white ones, so classic We had some taken of the 3 of us by a company called Venture, they do modern type of shots, my fav are the black and white ones they did. The chirch ones and the Chritsmas ones are cute too. Cant wait to have a little cuddle with her in Oct, I feel we know her so well, watching her grow, even from her scan pictures. :)

Poohbush Hope you daughters feel better soon, there are loads of "bugs" viruses going around at Elouises school, so far shes been ok, but I guess its a matter of time. :confused3

Karen pixiedust: dust stuff about your house, any news???

Paige / Sean, We booked on board with Disney and then MOVED the ressies to Dreams unlinmited. Sue Ellen who moderates these boards works for them shes very very good. Its not something in England we think we can do, ie book somewhere then move it to another company. It was all very easy we got I think $200 ship board credit for moving. Last time we had a lovely gift in our stateroom from DU. A keepsake box, Mickey photo frame, note paper etc etc all wrapped up, beautifully presented. :cool1: I doubt you get this from a UK agent???? I think its worth e mailing to enquire. If you want I will PM you Sue Ellens e mail, she has said this is fine to do and would be happy to help any cruiser.

Chris where are you today, I miss our morning chats ???

Nancy thanks for the updated list of cruisers, :thumbsup2 we are getting a really big group now arent we!!!!! Not sure I want too many more people knowing all the DIS secrets, like wearing swimwear onboard the boat, so you can use the pools first thing, or "secret" deck 7 area. !!! Ha ha only joking..........:rotfl: on the Oct cruise last year there were only about 20 of us in total. Now I wont be able to anything, with out a DISER seeing me !!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Guess I best behave :goodvibes :lmao:

GACK! It's cold...and it's getting colder...and the wind chill is sub-zero...and my bones hurt (I sound like my 93-year old great-aunt - ;) ).

I offer my apologies for the weather-whinies to my DISfriends who live at a much more northerly latitude because I'm sure you guys are colder than we are. It's just hard to adjust to winter when it's 50 one day and 12 the next...I wasn't kidding about these creaky bones - my fingers don't even want to bend!

Well, there's nothing else to do about it...I'm just going to have to stop at Starbucks on my way to work for some liquid naproxen. ;)

Linda, even with a big group of DISsers you'd be surprised at how little you may run across them. Of course, now that I think about it, Jason and I are like hermit crabs and we tend to stick to the adult areas of the ship so that may explain why we never really saw anyone outside of those areas. :scratchin

I wish we were all there right now. :cloud9:

Good afternoon Lindy loo,ive got the little fella home today so Ive been playing PS2 football all morning, he's got a horrible throat and with his Asma we never take the risk of sending him to school just in case (Rosie just rang to see how he is,top sister or what?)tomorrow is D-day for the REPO and were desperate to go but won't be held to ransom WHY are disney not releasing prices?...$12/13000 we ring and book $20,000 we don't,simple,it aint rocket science is it?...Rant over.....:rotfl2:

Give it ago, you can't loose anything

Brenda as Elouise loved the kids club so much last time, we plan to be in the adult pool area alot too this cruise........................... bliss!!!:goodvibes :goodvibes

Chris hope your son is OK, nice of Rosie to call:thumbsup2 Waynes on X box Rainbow 6 !!!... so no sense out of him then!!!!
Good luck with getting what you want, but please dont pull out of this cruise!

Sean. Glad Olivia is getting chatting on the kids thread!!!:thumbsup2 the kids will have a ball. Wish Elouise was a touch older and she would be on there. Still she likes sending smilies to you all, when she can.

Good luck with getting what you want, but please dont pull out of this cruise!

Couldn't even if we wanted to (we don't)as we've booked (and paid for)are flights and the cruise is paid up,not only that Jess will not be coming to CA with us it will only be the four of us for the REPO,if am honest we only mentioned it and got "wasn't this supposed to be the last DCL cruise, thats the reason am coming":furious: ...girls who'd have em?...:rotfl2: so me and Hazel have decided to do what's best for us SAY NOTHING ABOUT THE REPO until we know for sure......:confused3

Hiya Sean

I never got round to transfering our cruise to Dreams... booked direct with Disney - always intended doing something about transfering but that was as far as I got - in other words.........no-where! It would be nice to get a little on-board credit - let me know if you go ahead and how you get on and I'll copy you:rotfl:

I can help with insurance though....see...I'm not totally useless!::yes:: I have chosen Direct-travel.co.uk - the cheapest I have found and will cover Ellis under their regular policy. Already had the stuff thorugh the post and it looks great inc a cover letter for the allergy etc.. £99 for annual cover multi trip. The next cheapest was ASDA coming in around £160. Either are great when you consider Virgin wanted £800+:scared1:

Chris - hope Ryan is feeling better. What a nice sister!

Brenda - hope you warm up soon.... and your bones stop creaking:goodvibes

Lindy - house news - well the 3rd agent came out - not sure what we'll do now.... I have cold feet - just find it totally overwhelming...huge mortgage from none, moving:scared1: , changing schools:worried: , changing banks etc etc, not knowing anyone:worried: ... I have half talked myself out of it, but I know it would be a good move. I dont think they have had any other offers cos the estate agent called me this morning to see if we liked it etc., we have checked out the situation financially and we can do it. Florida might have to be every other year for a while:scared1: .....the thought of that alone is enough to stay put. Neil is quite keen, but he doesnt have the same ties as I do here. I have lived on this street for 32 years and mom and dad only live a few doors away - built in babysitters. Its the silly things that are worrying me like just the thought of not knowing anyone at school for Ellis and me for that matter! - I have made some good friends from the moms at school. Anyway, enough waffling...sorry to offload...its sort of thinking out loud that helps clear my head.

bye for now everyone.:wave2:

Just curious... has anyone actually found out any concrete information about the prices for the REPO cruises? I really didn't want to wade through 300 posts of people agonizing over inventory control without actually getting some decent information.

I submitted a request to DU but haven't received any information yet - not that I expect it to be something that's within our budget (we bought a new car a few weeks ago and I just paid the sales tax today...hello 2nd car payment I never realized you were funding my vacations all this time. :rotfl: )

just bumping. before I do spellings with Elouise...........
hop mop, stop,
cat, mat,
look, hook, book ( Hook Elouise can speill easy,as she thinks of Capt Hook!:) )

Brenda,

I've been reading through most of those posts over there on the main board. I'm surprised with all the talk that IC was calling today that NO ONE has posted that they received a call.

I'm thinking that for a Cat 8 (which we are looking for if we don't get a SPH) will be somewhere between $5,750-$6,500 for the 3 of us (2A and 1C-8). This is based on pricing people posted for '05.

Unless we see some new posts later this afternoon or evening, it will be call yourself or rely on your TA tomorrow. I for one, will be trying to call at 7:00 a.m. CST tomorrow. I'm pretty certain that the SPH's will be gone by the time I get a hold of anyone.

Jeff

Only "concrete2 price Ive seen is $13,700 for a cat2 adults and two kids 11 and 7...that's sounds cheap to me,too cheap but i guess we'll all know tomorrow .....:)

Cheap....I can't find an icon that mimes fainting so you'll just have to imagine it. ;)

How about this for an acceptable alternative: :scared:

I see where you're coming from with that figure, especially with the kids but my husband would bury me alive in our backyard compost pile if I booked a cruise (or any vacation for that matter) in that price range. :lmao:

Good luck tomorrow everyone - let us know if you survive!! :goodvibes
