Good morning everbody and a special good morning to Mr 135/142!:rotfl:

The photos of the club bag - it does look good:thumbsup2 .......oh well, I'm sure Neil will book another cruise so I get a bag - NOT!

Jeff, nice rainbow - I agree - its always the times you dont have the camera that you see something that would have been a great shot. We have differnet "filters" built in to the camera to make things look brighter, bluer etc - nifty gadget as you can "cheat" if the sky looks a bit grey;)

Yes, we do have BLT's here, but they are usually pre-made and pre-packaged things in supermarkets - I steer clear but hubby will eat them - mind you - hubby will eat anything! Talking of hubby - he's doing really well on the diet too. Sickeningly, he's lost about 10lb in 3 1/2 weeks - he wants to know where he can buy Borats swimwear from as he said he'll treat you all to a viewing on Castaway cay:rotfl2: :rotfl2: - only kidding - he'll kill me if he reads this!

Nancy - there is a thread about fish extenders on the forum at the minute with a photo of it - cant find it now or I would have posted a link - sorry!

:confused3 No-one since 7.45 this morning:confused3

Where are you all?:confused3

I have nothing better to do:rotfl: :rotfl:

Ummm....you're 7:45 was 1:45 a.m. here. Granted I was up until almost 1:00 our time. As for this morning, we had church at 8:00 our time and DW had coffee hour duty, so we had to get there 1/2 hour early and stay 1/2 hour late. Then went to Wal-Mart and Walgreens (to get prints from the underwater camera - got the CD also, so some pics will be coming from that as well).

Home now at 10:45.

BTW, are you at GMT -0? If you posted at 7:45, which was 1:45 our time and us being GMT -6, you must be on the "timeline"? Just curious.

Hey, I topped 1,000 posts and didn't even notice. This post is 1,004.

I think 1/2 of them are on this thread. :lmao:

Family weddings...in places that are difficult to reach...with minimal indoor plumbing options...

These are not a few of my favorite things. ;)

Jason has a huge family and there are a ton of them who still live out in the middle of Missouri in farm country...I've never been to a country wedding before...not sure I ever want to go to one again.

Let's just say the reception included a wheel of cheese with a knife stuck in the middle and leave it at that. :lmao:

I never really considered myself a snob before this, but I'm pretty sure after yesterday that I must be. Well, I guess there are worse things to be. ;)

Brenda, My BIL must have had a "Country wedding" in the city. His first wedding was on a Friday night at 5:00 pm. Which means people had to come straight from work without eating first. "Dinner" (and I use the term loosely) followed the service. "Dinner" was snackie items like cheese and crackers, and just little items you pop into your mouth. THAT'S IT!! My parents were invited and the being the funny guy that my dad is, he ran out and got a bucket of chicken from KFC and brought it back!! He got a lot of funny looks, especially from the bride, but even Chuck's brother had a piece. Clearly BIL was embarrassed but knew better than to upset his bride. BIL ate his chicken in the parking lot with Chuck!!:lmao: :lmao:

How were the beverage selections? Did you have a couple of kegs in the back of a Ford F250 outside the local windowless corrugated multi-purpose building?

Other than the budwesier, the beverages included water and soda from 2-liter bottles. No need to worry if you misplace your styrofoam cup...plenty more where that came from.

I just expected a little more for a wedding reception...I guess I'm too citified for my own good. Where was the silverware? How about real plates? And let's not talk about the butter, ok?

Napkins? Nahhh, we've got a couple of rolls of Bounty - tear off a sheet, it's the quicker picker upper!

You know it's bad when Jason offers to stop at McDonalds on the way home. :rotfl2:

Hi everyone...

Jeff its 7.15pm here - GMT+0

OK folks, we need lots of pixie dust........we went to view a house for sale today and I have fallen in love with it:cloud9: . Trouble is we only went to be nosey and we havent even got our house on the market. They had other viewings after ours and I just know that someone will offer on it before we get the chance:sad1: Everything about it is lovely, big detached 4 big bedrooms with parking for 5 cars easily, decorated beautifully, they even had some of the same furniture as we had. It could have been made for me - its perfect. I have even been online and checked out he school DS would move to and its fine too.

Getting an agent out tomorrow to value ours, but I just know it'll be too late.:sad1: :sad1: We were only tinkering with the idea of moving cos our friends have just moved and it got us thinking.

Wish I had never viewed it now. I havent seen anything like it, Its 5 years old but on an established road of older properties so not crammed in like some of the new-builds. We need ample parking and this has a garage plus room for 5 cars easily! No-one overlooks it, lovely quiet road but loads of amenties close by. I feel sick.

Oh well.....what will be will be.....

Maybe the happy couple were saving their pennies for a Disney Cruise??:)

Well, BIL's wedding didn't seem that bad..just bad enough. DS (now 26) was the ring bearer (then age 3). He had a really cute little white linen suit on. The reception hall was the darkest cheapest one they could find in Milwaukee. The roof leaked horribly. They actually had big empty lard buckets all around the room to catch the water from the ceiling. My poor little boy backed up and fell right into one...butt first. All you could see were his little legs and his head. He was crying so hard and all I could do is laugh. (Bad mommy)!:rotfl:

OK after I composed myself I got the little fella out and cleaned up the best I could. The bride was ticked off that now her pictures would be ruined!:sad2:

Needless to say, this marriage lasted only 1 year. :cheer2:

Ok...just needed to add this: His bride was angry that I gave birth to DD the very next day and ruined her "gift opening party" because most of the family was sitting at the hospital waiting for the news. :scared:

Here's "dust stuff" for Karen and family...pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Jeff, we have requested 8pm sitting.... so you never know,.............. you might choose to join us???

How can I get Elouise spelt wrong.????:confused3 Easy............... my fingers go faster than my brain, :lmao: and I dont read my posts before submitting ! :)

Ok Brenda I actually went to a wedding that had their reception AT Mc Donalds!!!! YES you read right!!! I was just 17 at th time and a friend from college got married to a guy from college. No parents just a group of mates and burgers.... and beer after in the park after the food, cos Mc Donals has no liquor licence! Guess what, they are still married, and have 3 children. They even re newed their vows abroad about 5 years after the main event. !

Jeff thanks for the heads up on the character meals, we would never make breakfast on the early sitting !!! How tight Shutters just having photos with Mickey only. I love my digital, I can take 100's of my own, that way I wont waste hours in Shutters!!:)

Pixie dust to you Karen....................... I hope you get the house you dreamed of.

I'm fortunate that I had my mortgage at 17, so its all but paid off. We are now thinking about buying a house as an investment for Elouise. Its a big step, and we are still thinking about it. It would mean cutting back on other things, however I do think its a sound investment, and in 10 years time I would be very pleased with the decision. Just at the present time, going back to paying a big mortgage each month, isnt too appealing!! Though we plan to rent out the house to cover the mortgage, its still a big big step for little old me, who likes to play everything "safe". even when we play poker Wayne jokes I would only raise if I had two aces!

Lindy - we are in a similar situation - no mortgage at the minute hence 3 holidays a year.....going back to a big mortgage would be tough but it is lovely.

I think its a very wise move to buy for Elouise now. Just think of the prices when our kids are ready to move out - geez! Most of the new builds by us are going for £450k or more and the land is the size of a postage stamp. Thats what makes this one so different.:sad2: Maybe I'll have changed my mind overnight.:confused3

Either way folks - thanks for the dust stuff.

Here's a picture of a fish extender:

Thanks Heather. :yay:

I did a search on Fish Extenders and found a DISer who cruised with a lady who may be willing to make some to sell. She makes them, and we decorate them ourselves.

Her's were just plain red, white, black and yellow (Mickey's colors). If the price is right I may just order one from her and put my own personal touches on it.

Seems like we have a lot of DISers who want to play the tag game. These will surely hold all that loot!!

Those are cute but I guess I wonder how much more tempting a target it would be for Lightfingered-Larry if he or his cronies are on board ship?

I don't want to think badly of others, really, but when you have gifts stolen from your own wedding (refer to my autobiogprahy - index: 5/29/99; Embassy Suites; Events Coordinator, You Stole How Much in Cash and Gift Cards; Do We Ever Have a Story for the Grandkids) it becomes difficult to get past being suspicious of others.

Nancy - your former SIL sounds like a real winner. Too bad she didn't fall into one of those buckets instead of your DS! ;)

Good luck Karen! I can't even imagine what the joy of living in a wold without a mortgage must be like. :goodvibes
