Karen hope Ellis is feeling better. Honest you arent the only mum to do crazy stuff! It happens to the best of us. :goodvibes

I have to share a really really funny thing Elouise said over the weekend.

Her teacher is pregnant, so she was walking home Friday with her friend, and we heard them say, "you know Mrs Cox has a baby in her tummy." "Yer" says Elouise. " know how it got there......" said Shaun, ............ me and his mum listen with interest.... "She swallowed it"! he says with pride. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

"No says Ellie, you have "speaical cuddles" to get a baby . My mum told me. :thumbsup2

Topic changed to the Power Rangers and all was Ok, until bath time when she asked.
"How does the baby come out then ?" I'm blushing like mad !
"Well I say, taking a deep breath, Auntie Joanna, had Scarlett with an operation on her tummy. "
"Oh, so did I come out of your tummy too?"
Now at this point I should have said yes and left it, but I didnt have a C section, and dont like to fib to her.
So I though, pull yourself together Linda, just say it how it is, no big deal.

"No darling, I explain, we as girls have a ******. Boys have willys."

"Ok," she replies, and goes back to playing in the bath. Me now feeling very proud I was so mature. :) no problem!

At school monday, she asked her teacher if she was going to have an operation to get her baby out, or was it coming out of "CHINA" !!!!!
:confused3 :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

The poor teacher laughed so much, I thought she might go into labour !

Thanks Abbey, I am now a proud owner of a ticket too !

Nancy, you are soooo funny! Your dog advert gave me a big giggle.

Oh Lindy - god I cant stop laughing :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

"China" - That might just be my new word for it from now on :lmao: - we used to call it a tuppence (dont ask me why :confused3 -just something that carried on from my own mum), but I like china better. :rotfl:

Thank you for asking, Ellis is a tiny bit better but he's still as deaf as a post (we both are). We dont have colds any more but our ears just wont clear and its very painful. We spend most of the evening saying "pardon?" to each other. Its driving us both crazy. He is at school today but it absolutely kills him to last the day out. Poor little thing. He's awake in the night more than he's asleep and that means I am too :sad2: . I wont need suitcases for the cruise at this rate I'll just pack the bags under my eyes.

That's good that she is doing well! They have a good program. Does she like Dayton? We lived in the city for 8 years then moved to a northern suburb. We're glad to be out of the city. It's not a good place to be if you are raising a family. There is alot to do for college kids if they live close to the Oregon district or even the UD campus.
yes, she loves dayton. dw and her spent time at oregon district last summer. dd loves dayton so much and says shes not coming home after graduation. cant blame her. we live in a suburb of warren and this area is really getting economically depressed. much more opportunity for her in dayton.
she works part time at fairfield mall and goes to school so her schudule is full. when robin and i went to wdw this summer we brought an ad home stating they were hiring photographers. trying to talk her into it. that would gives us a reason to move to florida.

You know, my kids have this weird fascination with China. They don't talk about any other countries in the world, just China. Maybe they have already thought of China as a code word for other things. :lmao:

WARNING Do not drink soda and read this post at the same time!!

Lindy, that has to be one of the funniest things I ever heard!! Out of the mouths of babes!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I've been elected head cheerleader...and I wasn't even trying. Wow. ;)

Anyway, sure would be fun if any of you fine folkses would like to join up and support the Iron Chefs (restaurant team #2).

I have no idea what we'll be doing but it sounded like fun to jump in and offer moral support to a group of people I know nothing about. :teeth:

And if anyone is still reading, I'm finally on the last day of my food report...I just don't know when to shut up. :teeth:

Just had to share...we nabbed the Chef's Table at V&A for our anniversary in May!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Thanks for letting me share....I'm so excited. :goodvibes

You're too nice to me, Nancy. :goodvibes

But goodness, can you imagine what's liable to happen if we do the wine pairings at the Chef's Table? Jason will have to pour me into a cab to get back to our resort. ;)

Brenda,

I'm definitely still with you on the TR. I read all the compliments and I'm lucky enough to be able to say..."Yup, that's OUR Brenda"!!

How about a TR for Christmas Shopping. Oh my....that would be soooo entertaining! :cheer2:

Did something go bump in the night?

Why, yes...I think it was this thread! :teeth:

Big storm blowing down Highway 70 from Kansas City...cold, ice, sleet, snow, wind....waaaaaaaaah!!! I wanna go back to Florida!! :guilty:

OK - I'm done. Seeing as there are so many of you who deal with this on a regular basis we in the armpit of the Midwest really have no reason to complain. But lemme tell you fine cruisers...it's gonna be an ugly 48 hours.

Yeah and I think that storm is heading our way here in SE Wisconsin. The local weather guy said it should pass over Chicago, but the north side of the storm may hit Milwaukee. They said they'll have to watch it slowly to see where it ends up going.

Looks like winter is here my friends. Last year on the first weekend of December, we got hit with over 6" here in Milwaukee.

Ditto what Brenda said...I wish I was back in FL.

Good Job Konked Kruisers!! Keep it going. :cheer2:

UGH! I just wrote this really long post, and it disappeared! Going to pull my hair out now.

Cass & Rob - CONGRATULATIONS! Kira is just absolutely beautiful! :thumbsup2 Made my eyes water up when I saw how tiny she is. Reminded me of when our two girls were born. Where does the time go?

Been really busy around here. Had to take Katie to see the dentist for an emergency visit. On Monday eve, she knocked right into Sammie's HARD head, and about knocked her 2 top front teeth right out of her mouth. She has severe bruising, and the dentist said she may still lose them earlier than expected. Last week my dog developed a urinary tract infection, so DH had to take her to the vet. Plus he himself has been to the doctor at least 4 times since we've been back from our trip. He has this cough that will not go away. Poor guy.

I've caught up on all the pages I've missed. I'm really going to try hard to post more often.

Just a quick update on the family:
- Timon (Cass) was back in the hospital Saturday night due to hypertension, they were worried about a stroke for her since her platelets are still really low. So she was there till Sunday afternoon. She's on meds now and is home doing much better.
- Kira is on formula supplement after losing 12% of her weight since being born; she is doing better now and is gaining weight finally.
- Oybolshoi: you're worried about the weather?! Oi... we had -40C with the windchill with a natural -26C to -30C during the day and evening for 4 days. Its warming up finally now and you know when you're a canuck when -19C seems warm.
Looking forward to Florida weather next October more than you can imagine, though Cass might not, its still too warm for her.
