I am finally catching up eith this thread and we would love to do the DIStag. I can pack a few gifts in each suitcase.
Karen, we have arranged with the Disney hotel to hold our spare luggage, as we are coming back to the hotel the Sat night before we fly home on the Sunday. This was a tip we got from our last cruisers
Which hotel are you staying at, we are at the BCV before the cruise,18-20,and as of now we are at BCV for Sat-Sun after but hope to switch to the new AKV when they are taking room reservations.

We should see who is staying on property or going to MNSSHP on the 18 or 19 and maybe meet up. That way we can see each other before the rush onboard the ship

Talk again soon
Judy

Hi all! Just read through the last 7 pages. So much to catch up on!

Feeling kind of blue right now. Tomorrow was the day were were going to leave for WDW for the Pirate & Princess Party for Friday night. Of course, on our Oct trip we decided not to go in Jan as Sammie was really hating the fireworks, and we just didn't feel the girls would be ready for a late party night yet. Sigh! Oh well, there's always our May trip for Katie's 5th B'day! (Brenda, I think you had a question a while back on the P&P Party. I think it's only in Jan and Feb.)

Welcome home Jeff! The weather sounded wonderful!

Jo, sorry to hear you can't come in Oct. Maybe something good will happen soon, and you can still come. :wizard: Sending you some pixie dust.

Lindy - look for a pm from me soon. I'm trying to talk Katie into "meeting" Elouise so they can become friends before the cruise. Since they'll both be 5, they'll be inthe same club events together.

Still don't know if Sammie will ever get the hang of potty training. We've tried bribes, rewards, hugs, praise, dancing, singing, etc. and nothing is working! Course, maybe it's my singing that's scaring her! :rolleyes1

Air Tran finally released their Oct schedule. Now we're debating on flying down in the morning of the 18th, or letting Katie finish school that day, and flying down in the evening. John keeps saying "it's just kindergarten, what's one day?" She's already going to miss 6 days, not sure if I want her missing 7. I'm so confused! :confused3

I just check their site and I don't see an option to select anything past September. Where did you find their October schedule?

Jeff - we have early - if I request PAL I am likely to get 6pm? Also what restaurant does that put us in for formal night? Duh! - call me stupid I cant work it out:rolleyes1

Back to tagging - how about we all get keyrings? - nice and small to pack:banana: . What I tend to do is take the chain part off and attach a xmas wire and hang them on my "travel" xmas tree. Its lovely hanging each one up every year cos it reminds you of where you've been or who gave it you etc.

Karen

P = Parrot Cay
A = Animators
L = Lumieres (and if you're on the Wonder - L becomes T for Tritons)

Hope this helps.

As for the TAG gifts, I took english chocs and postcards. Went down a treat.

Have a good day, even if it is Freeeeeezzzzzzing!

Heather

Good morning everyone:wave2:

Heather - I did think of chocs but whenever we have taken them they always end up partly melted:confused3 . We took a packet of maltesers that turned into a malteser blob:rotfl: Plus we are there for a week before the cruise - the chances of us eating them before are extremely high:rolleyes1

Jeff - thanks for working it out for me:hug: . If we get pirate night in Lumieres would people still dress up as pirates or would we look out of place in there in pirate of the caribean t shirts as its the more formal of them all:confused3
ps - dont leave us:sad1: - you dont really want to do a repo:sad2:

I would be up for a MNSSHP meet:cool1: We fly in 13th Oct. We could all say a quick pre-cruise hello over a dole whip - yum!

Off to do box aerobics - see you later:goodvibes

Judy, we live in Wiltshire, which is quite near to Exeter. Well about a 2 hours drive. Its a lovely part of the country, we will be going that way in May for a weeks holiday. the beaches around Exeter are very pretty, in a rugged type of way, not like C Cay.

This is to Katie from Elouise .... :hippie: :wizard: :cutie: :)

Elouise is still with me today, no school till 12 noon ... teacher training !!! Glad i only work part time, as this can be a real pain.
Elouise would love to meet up with both the girls.

Here she is ( on the left) with her friends, Kylie and Nicole, from Oct.

Heather like the idea of chocolate, but im with Karen, we would eat it before getting on to the cruise .............:)

Jo I've pmed you. So sorry  to hear you might not be joining us. You never know there might be some pixie dustpixiedust: pixiedust: for you, so please dont cancel you and Danny until you REALLY have to .

If we take as many photos as we chat, there will be lots of photos and reviews for you to read. We want to hear all about Aprils cruise though:)

A big :grouphug: from us all.

Drop in to the thread, when ever you can..............now anyone thinking about leaving to do the repo cruise............... YOU DARE!!!!:sad2: :sad1:

So, I was going to save this to PM Jo and Danny but instead had to share with all..

Jo,

I told Chuck that you and Danny would have to cancel because of your car. He is as equally bummed as I was to hear the news. He said, "Why don't you just send them some of that 'dust stuff ' that you send people for good luck"?

So Jo....here's some of the "dust stuff" from Chuck!!pixiedust: pixiedust:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Karen,

People dress up in Pirate/Tropical attire regardless of the restaurant they are in (except maybe Palo). You will NOT be out of place in Lumiere's in pirate attire on pirate night. Since Lumiere's is right there in the lobby with all the windows to look in, I have seen the room on Pirate night. There were lots of people dressed for the party.

I just like to be in Parrot Cay on Pirate Night because it is the "tropical" restaurant of the 3. I would much rather be in Lumiere's on Pirate night if it meant I was not in Parrot Cay on Formal/Semi-Formal nights. It just comes down to personal preference for me regarding the theming in each restaurant. I just don't think I'd like being dressed up in the "casual" of the 3 restaurants. Being dressed up in AP wouldn't be bad because it is mainly black and white with some color highlighting it. AP would also be the least of my favorites for Pirate night. Not sure why, just is.

So, if you're looking for rotations on the Western, I go with APL first and then PLA second.

On the Eastern we like the PLA rotation. Any other rotation would put us in PC on one of the Formal nights. If I had couldn't get PLA on an Eastern, my second choice would be LAP. I would get Pirate night in L instead of A.

Hope this helps and doesn't confuse you.

Jeff

O.K. From here on out, no one on this thread may refer to it as Pixie Dust. You must use the term "dust stuff".

That is just great. Those non DISers.

:rotfl2:  :rotfl2: Paracetamol anyone?,thanks for that Jeff my heads in bits now after reading that......:)

We took funsize choc's as it provides may different types than what you can get in the US. One Disser was particularly pleased as she adores Aero and she was one of the lucky ones to get a small bar. I agree that it would not normally stay uneaten, but as we only had one day before we got on the boat, there wasn't a problem......I also bought a packet of maltesers on the plane, but we'll brush over that one.:rotfl:

Heather thats sooooo like me !!! I always take treats for the plane, makes the journey go a bit quicker ... when Im munching I cant be looking at the clock ! :)

Jeff, seeing you are the expert, am i right in assuming 8pm is the APL roatation and with this you get 3 turns at A? Is the show on just once? Ie the first time you are due to go there.

someone has sprinkled "dust stuff":lmao: on me, cos at last ive learnt how to "quote".................... yippee:banana:

See told you all I was a bit thick ! :) :badpc:

Thanks everybody for the  and "dust stuff":rotfl:

And Linda, thanks for the so sweet PM:grouphug:

I just wanted to tell you all about the dis tag we did on our "Molar Express" cruise. The imagination and wide variety of items people brought to exchange blew me away!
Everything to a great recipe from a UK diser, along with a UK postcard from where he lived, (several people included a postcard from their hometown)to miniature bottles of bubbles and mini highlighters, which were
great for using on your navigator. There were also lots of little packs of Halloween candy, since it was so close to Halloween. Many gifts were tooth related to fit with our cruise theme. I recall a sample sized toothpaste and some Halloween waxed teeth! One diser, made a Movie goodie bag, which had an assortment of snack size candy to take with you to the ships movie theater. A great idea since the candy at the concession stand is $$.
There was a goodie bag with Pirates of the Caribbean related items, which included a rub on tattoo that was great for pirate night.
Key chains, sports teams buttons and bumper stickers, kids stickers, playing cards, light up glow necklaces and all manner of little goodies.
I gave out little plushes and Cinderellas candy filled shoes from the Disney store that I bought on sale. If you live near a Disney Store, they usually have cheap " souvie " toys that are often on sale.
It doesn't have to cost much, really, the fun is in being sneaky and not getting "caught" while trying to deliver your gift to someones cabin. Danny and I would get to see floors and parts of the ship we hadn't seen before because of the game. It really was more fun to give the gifts rather than get them, but I must admit, it was always a thrill to see what was hanging from our fish:woohoo:

Linda,

Expert I am not.

To answer your questions, yes, you would have the 8:00 p.m. time slot with APL. And yes, you would get 3 turns in A. And yes, the show is only once, the first time you're there. The other nights they will show cartoons on the screens. That is more of a hit with DS than the "light" show. BTW, we missed our light show because DS's head was hurting that night. I do have a picture of Suz and I in our pj's eating our dinner that our server personally brougth to our room (although I don't think she'll let that one get posted).

Remember, a dining rotation request is only a request. It is never guaranteed. That is why I suggest that you keep your early rotation and switch once you are on board. If you find that you got stuck with LAP and late seating, you now have 8:30 dining time and it is very difficult to move to early. Now if you have APL-early, there will be a long wait list of APL-late's that want your spot. You could easily switch to late once you are on the ship.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Jeff, the expert. :lmao:

p.s. Chris (AFEG), I hope your head isn't spinning some more.
