I just read this and HAD to share, it's the best laugh I've had in awhile...:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Excerpts from a Dog's Daily Diary:

8:00am Dog food! My favorite thing!

9:30am A car ride! My favorite thing!

9:40am Walk in the park! My favorite thing!

10:30am Got rubbed and petted! My favorite thing!

12:00pm Lunch! My favorite thing!

1:00pm Played in the yard! My favorite thing!

3:00pm Wagged my tail! My favorite thing!

5:00pm Milk bones! My favorite thing!

7:00pm Got to play ball! My favorite thing!

8:00pm Wow! Watched TV with my master! My favorite thing!

11:00pm Sleeping on the bed! My favorite thing!

Excerpts from a Cat's Daily Diary:

Day 683 of my captivity: My captors continue to taunt me with
bizarre dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the
other inmates and myself are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets.
Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I
nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength. The
only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to
disgust them, I once again vomit on the floor.

Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their
feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it
clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made
condescending comments about what a "good little hunter" I am. The
audacity! There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight.
I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event.
However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my
confinement was due to the power of "allergies." I must learn what this
means, and how to use it to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my
tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this
again tomorrow -- but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and
snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released
--and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded!
The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicating with
the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. The
captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so
he is safe.......for now....

I don't know about the dog, but they've captured the cat perfectly! :lmao:

I'm thinking this picture needs to be Nancy's door sign on the cruise! :thumbsup2

I am all over that. I will make sure we print out several copies to be put on her door. I'm sure the passer by's will want to steal this one. :rotfl:

Ditto Brenda!! I've had both cats and dogs and believe me the author captured them both!!

Thanks for the laughs Cass, that was hilarious!!!

Sure Jeff! My cabin number is 6578!! :lmao:

Paige, if you ask Jeff REALLY nice, he'll show you a picture of himself in his formal wear. Hint....it's very green...:lmao: :lmao:

Did you and your wife happen to eat at Palo on this trip? I was just wondering if they are still offering that divine lemoncello / vodka slushie that they were handing out at the end of dinner back in October 2005.

They were last September (2006). It was delicious.

Heather

Karen and Cass, good luck for today with Ellis and Kira special pixie dust to them both ....pixiedust:

Nancy, im glad you dont do "too posh". I pmed Brenda with my concerns a while ago, as I was worried we would be letting the table down, if we werent in long gowns and tux. I dont mind dressing up, in fact we were at a ball this saturday, where it was full length gowns etc etc. It was fun, cos Elouise went to her Nans at 3pm and I went to hairdressers etc and it was fun to dress up. However for the cruise, the clothes take up too much room in the case, and we wont have the time or inclination to dress up ( especailly with Elouise being in the SMALL cabin too !:) ) So I will wear a smart trouser suit or skirt and top and Wayne will do the same as Karens Dh nd pack suit trousers, and a smart shirt ... no jacket.

Brenda, I dont eat any fish, so whats this about Thurs nights menu??? Perhaps we might eat off the blanket buffet that night? I fancy booking Palo, however if we need a jacket for Wayne it sadly wont happen.

Jeff, you made me laugh out loud with that picture, its soooo funny !:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Cass, the cat and dog thing is soooo true, my dog Jazz is just as described:)

Cass i would send you a pic if i had the slightest idea as to how to do it dear,i kid you not am now looking at in my office a "hp photosmart 7762" bought in January 2005:scared1: ,the box still has the seal on it,ive never even opened it to look and see if it really has something inside it...:rotfl2:

ps...If am honest were not really a photo people me and Hazel both avoid photo's given half a chance, another reason why Jess wants us to make an effort on formal night...:)

Hi folks

we're back.....what a total waste of time.

£25 in taxis for them to tell me they no longer do skin tests.:furious:

Apparantly the doctors policy has changed and they no longer think its worthwhile, and for me to just continue to avoid all nuts and nut traces for the rest of his life.

What a joke. Oh well....Ellis was over the moon - (no scratches), but then not so happy when I sent him straight back to school!:teacher:

I'm off to the gym to take out my aggression on the equipment (although I'd much rather have punched the doctor:rolleyes1 )

Chris - you sound like me - I hate new stuff on the pc. I have stuff I bought and never bothered loading. I use photobucket.com to upload photos onto the internet - its even easy enough for me to use!

Lindy - I dont eat fish either - is there a fish night? - ewk!:scared: - I'll be at topsiders that night.

I use photo bucket too................. i like it cos its easy and I cant do technical stuff!!!!

Looks like we will have our own party on the Thurs night then !!! Surely they must offer something other than fish???? many people are allergic to fish.:confused3

What a pain in the bum the hospital is, fancy not even teling you!!! What a waste of money............... that could hae been in your cocktail fund for Oct!!;)

I must get off here now, I have some applications to screen ( Im doing overtime , to get some extra cash up for the holiday)

Sue Ellen from Dreams has just got me some fab deals on Universal IOA tickets. 7 day park hopper for $90. (About £46.63) IF we went 7 days, which sadly we havent got time for, its would be a bargain at £6.66 a day!:) We stayed at Royal pacific last time, so no queues,;) however this seems a good deal to do as Elouise LOVES, Jaws, Cat in the Hat, Spiderman, Stoney, Jimmy Nuetron etc etc. We will get there early ride the rides then chill and eat!:cool1:

hello karen, i agree DOCTORS!!!!i am surrounded by em,

is there a formal night?i have to wear a shirt and tie all day so i dont do shirts etc on hols,i really need to look at this cruise and see whats on and the dress code.and on another point who keeps posting that picture of me on the beach with my tight swin suit on!!!??? i said it was for caths eyes only!!!!

who should i use for car hire any pointers?

Yes, there is plenty to eat apart from the fish, I'm not a huge fan either.

A couple of things...

1) Nancy is trying to be trouble maker by giving out someone else's cabin number for Jeff to paste the Borat picture on. She thought it was mine, but she got it wrong!! :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

2) She has given me a terrible, wonderful idea with her mischief...if we're going to play DIStag on this cruise I suggest we use that picture as our tag-magnet (unless someone thinks it might psychologically scar their children).

3) Heather is right - there are other menu options on Thursday night, but the specialty in all three restaurants is the lobster. I can tell you that the last two times we cruised I ordered something other than lobster for that evening's dinner (once at Lumiere's and once at Animators') and both times it was awful. Maybe I just had bad luck but I wonder sometimes if the kitchen doesn't pretty well slack off on lobster night. So that's why we decided on Palo for Thursday - Jay gets his lobster, plus everything else he can put away, and I get yummy food substitutes like shrimp and asparagus salad, pizza prosciuitto, risotto, etc...

4) They've loosened the dress code at Palo - we saw plenty of men there for dinner last October who were not wearing suits. I think as long as the gentleman in question is wearing a nice pair of pants and a nice shirt he should be OK. This last time Jason and I looked somewhat out of place because he was wearing a tux and I was wearing a long dress, but we didn't mind the gawking and finger pointing much after we'd downed a bottle of wine. ;)

I gotta go ---- 30 miles of traffic is calling my name. Have a good one!!

Brenda :goodvibes

Medical man, we are going to get a quote from Budget as they have offices at the airport MCO and the port. So for us that makes things easier. We are going to hire for 9 days then give back car for week, to save paying parking and hire charges, then get another car for the weekend as we fly home. Well thats the plan anyway!

Emmm Brenda you have me thinking about Palos now............... will hae to look at the menu. We are quite plan eaters. We love tiramassi (sp?) and I hear its good there, so might have to go just for that:goodvibes

Be sure to try the chocolate souffle - it's their signature dessert and is it ever yummy! I really like their panne cotta, too. I'm not a fan of tiramisu but I have heard good things about it.

Don't miss a dinner there because you think their food may be too fancy - they have some pretty standard selections but they are prepared to order and that's what makes it so good. They also have some more unique selections, but believe me if I can find something on their menu almost anyone should be able to!

Last time I tried their fillet with a gorgonzola cheese sauce and it was excellent! :thumbsup2

Heather, thanks for the info on that fabulous little drink! I'm glad to know it's still available (I'm gonna have to get a recipe for it this time!).

hi lindy ( sorry i dont know your name),

i looked at your reply and i have just e-mailed dollar i did not know they had an office at the port so it might be a good idea to hand the car back and collect after cruise.i await there reply.

are there any cruises out there with a daughter around ten or eleven ish who might want to make a friend before the cruise?my daughter is ten and she has asked if there are any girls around her age going ( coz boys are urggggghhhhhhhh!!!!) how things change eh?? if so let me know and they could swop msm messenger contacts. i am sure there will be a way to do this securely.

Medical man, my names Linda, Lyn, lindy loo or anything else not rude !!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

good luck for your daughter finding a mate..... everyone on the cruise we went on last Oct were so friendly, we saw many groups of children making friends. It broke my heart to see Elouise hugging and crying to leave her mates ( 0f 4 days,) though they did send smilies to each other on here before hands) She still talks fondly of Kylie and Nicole:) :)

WOW!!!

This thread is like watching good TV!:happytv:

Y'all are sooo funny! I love the gross picture!! We will have a blast on this trip.....

Now if I can only get everyone's names right......

Speaking of TV, to the UK friends: Do you still get re-runs of "The Young Ones?" My husband and I used to watch them in high school in the 80's, and we bought them on e-bay a couple of years ago. When we are feeling a little down, we watch them. My teenager thinks we are nuts!:confused3

To the Wisconsin friends: I've never been to Wisconsin, but I feel like I have because my sister's husband is from Superior, and he often tells us stories about his childhood. My sister tells me that y'all drive your car on a frozen lake at times! Wow, that sounds like fun...scary fun!

Cass, I feel like I know you since seeing all of your pictures. I hear how Canada is such a beautiful place and I hope to get there someday, as that country has a place in my heritage. Some of my ancestors were in the Nova Scotia and Quebec areas. Yes, we are cajuns from South Louisiana.

Sorry for the long post, y'all, but I felt like I had to catch up.

Y'all have a great day!!

Paige
