Heather, when you get back from your Alaska cruise I want to hear all about it... Danny and I want to do one some day. We've been to Alaska before, we flew and rented a car for a week. It had us wanting more!

Will do.
Heather

A snowcovered bump with a pear and some marscopone cheese on the side...while it's not really in my diet, sometimes you just gotta eat the good stuff. :thumbsup2

We were on page 2 again :scared1:

Cass I'll have to figure out how to email you our picture and send you our info to add to your Who's Going Page too.

Morning Karen and Chris.:wave2:

Sorry its late, happy birthday Cheryl for the 19th. :bday:

Paige and Family, :love1: :welcome: welcome sooooo glad you found our chatty little thread!:)

Nancy TWO weddings !!! wow how nice, TWO excuses to buy TWO fancy dresses!:)

Any more pictures of baby Kira, Cass? :cutie: Im a sucker for cutie photos!

Whoops forgot to say, Thanks Steve for the link, the pirate cruise looks quite fun ( IF I can get Elouise out of the kids club!!) Last time she begged us not to be taken out :confused3 I was pleased as we wanted her to have fun, but were surprised how long she wanted to stay and play. Still more time for us in the adult only area:cool1:

Hey Heather, just seen your picture on Cass's website.... nice one! Its fun to see what everyone looks like before we cruise. It might help me remember everyones names. We seem to have quite a big DIS group on this cruise. Last time we had only maybe 20 Dissers at the meet, ( they were all wonderfully friendly though!)

Chris, have you sent Cass your family picture??? or are you going to keep yourself a "secret" ???

Oh Lindy pleaseeeeeeee i don't want all cass's hard work to go to waste with my ugly mug on there, what is it you need to know?,am Chris am 5'10 i weigh 20 stone, thinning on top:sad1: and my only boy often ask "dad when are you going to start and wear mums bra" and am butt ugly.....BUT AM A VERY HAPPY CHAPPIE WITH A BEAUTIFUL FAMILY...what more can a bloke ask for...

ps...on are first cruise Rosie went to the club and stayed 14 HOURS:scared1: I'd keep going back and asking "ready to come out now" eh NO!!...In the end i had to make her come out as i had a bad case of "bad dad".....:rotfl2:

No dress for this girl Linda! I haven't worn a dress since my own wedding 27 years ago!!:lmao: I'm hoping a fancy pant outfit will come my way.

My formal wear outfit for our first cruise was a nice black pant suit with very sparkly Mickey jewelry. It was fancy enough for Parrot Cay that night. Jo and I actually chose the rotation of APLAPLA so that we would be in the least fancy restaurant for formal night. They ended up in Palo that night anyway, but it was fancy enough for me. After pictures and dinner, I changed back into my comfy cruise clothes.:thumbsup2

I read so much about "formal night" on these threads they scared me. Chuck, on the other hand, was a bit more rebellious and fought me tooth and nail about wearing a suit which we had to purchase because of what we read and our TA also insisted that we dress up for formal night. He ended up with with a sports coat and tie and some nice Dockers. This year I will not fold under the pressure of what other people think. I will dress up with the same pant suit I had last time but no gown or dresses for me.:sad2:

I hope my table mates don't mind. Oh wait....I believe my mates are Brenda, Jo and you my dear. Maybe you'll all ditch us for dinner at Palo. In that case Chuck and I and Elouise will have a blast in our usual restaurant and we will even have her pose as our granddaughter in some professional pictures. I think I'm old enough for a 7 year old. :dance3:

Geeez, I hope I didn't open up a can of worms by bringing up the dreaded subject of "FORMAL NIGHT". I'll just sit back now....popcorn::

Since I got off on a tangent on my previous post, I'll get back on the subject of weddings.:bride:

Yes, DS will be married May 3rd, 2008 (if they ever get up off their butts and book the hall and church). Then on Sept 20, 2008, our new DIL's brother will be married. Then in December 2008, our future SIL's sister gets married.

Our DD and her BF went ring shopping yesterday and he plans on putting a down payment on a ring around their 3 year anniversary in March. So no wedding date set for them, but there will be an engagement soon.

I keep hoping she'll opt for a "destination wedding" because that little girl will cost me a ton of moolah!! I heard some of the prices my son is paying for his and I think any chance of any vacation between this Novemeber and her wedding are out of the question.

[For my fellow Milwaukeeans, DD is dreaming of a wedding at Holy Hill, a reception at the Italian Community Center and all the glory that goes with a wedding like that... Enough said?????]:scared1:

I love them. I love the opportunity of dressing up, don't get much of an opportunity any other time, apart from weddings, etc.

Each to their own though, if you don't like them, so be it.

Heather does your other half have a TUX or do you plan to hire one?...:)

Chris - No, he just takes a smart suit, plus several formal shirts and ties. He won't go the whole hog and put on a TUX, but he does look very smart. As for me I go the whole hog - long dress/skirt, etc, etc.

As part of the 11 dayer - We did both formal nights in the usual restaurants and then did an extra formal night in Palos. Lovely
Heather
