Ahhh Thanks Jeff, I'm still a fattie, but its coming off slowly with all the :yay: :yay: :yay: exercise.

Q&A Karen-
How can you say you are a fattie if you only have 15lb to lose????!!!! Not a fattie at all! Oh and can you explain two things to me? When I went to the UK I noticed that pop (soda) is not served cold, and that there aren't any salad dressings with salad. Is this typical? I was there on a business trip so was with my UK co-workers for a week. They thought it was pretty funny when I didn't understand some of the things they were saying. What was even funnier was when they would try to imitate my accent. :lmao: My heart just melts over the British accent while we in Southern Ohio sound like hicks.:lmao:

Because I ALWAYS have 15lb to lose! I take it off, it goes back on, I take it off, it goes back on....lifes a b*tch:confused3

We do have some "pop" in the fridge of the supermarkets etc but the rest is just stacked up. If you mean in a restaurant - you'll be lucky if you get an ice cube.:lmao: I suppose we reckon its cold and miserable enough here without making you colder.:rotfl2:

As for salad dressings - you're right - we dont serve dressings over here. My explanation (although its probably wrong and just my opinion) - Most people leave the side salad anyway - its usually just a bit of limp lettuce and half a tomato anyway, so why bother "dressing it".

Accents are totally different depending upon where in the uk you live. As an example, Chris who is from Yorkshire and us from Birmingham (Brum as we call it) both probably have a strong accent, but totally different. We have been asked lots of times if we are from Australia:scared1: I love the US accent. Its just the little things that make me cringe like "fanny pack" and "go potty". They both mean something different over here:lmao:

Jeff,

Just wanted to let you know that Underwater Connection in the Falls has snorkel vests for $44.00. :thumbsup2 Last time we stopped in they were $80.00 each.
We bought one for Chuck today and I'll get mine Monday for my birthday from DS.

We were going to use the one's on CC for free but the thought of putting my mouth on that nozzle where everyone else had theirs just gives me the creeps. :scared1: I don't think CC has the capability of sanitizing those after each use. Same thing goes for the mouth piece on the snorkel.

wow im off the Dis for a day and look what happens, Karen gets a page to herself and we have "translations" all over the place!

Elouise and I went to see Sleeping Beauty pantomime today . It was fun and Elouuse was choosen to go on stage ( she was dressed up in her Sleeping beuaty outfit, crown wand shoes the whole hog!) Wish I had the camera.
On the way home,
she said, I cant wait to got to Disney mum, let's go now.
I said we couldnt and she asked why?
No plane ticket I said,
buy one then.
No clothes packed I replied,
she says, who cares its hot there and I have my princess dress anyway. What about Dad I say
.... text him, she replies, he can meet us there!!!!

Dont you just love kids simple minds ! :) :) :)

Fanny Packs,.... in the UK a Fanny is slag/rude for a ladies "front parts" so this always seems very strange to hear this said aloud. Any type of bum bag, as we call them, or fanny packs are considered NOT cool at all over here, and would NEVER be worn. I wont wear one in the USA either, it just doesnt feel right :confused3

OK..please explain.

Fanny Pack =

Go Potty =

:lmao:

Fanny Pack - see Lindys explanation - well put Lindy - I was trying to word it nicely but couldnt come up with the words:confused3

Go potty - Means go mental!!!!
Its strange to hear an adult say this - we might say it to a toddler but never adult saying it about themselves.

Ahhh Lindy - what a cutie - totally agree with Elouise - grab 2 tickets now! then text Daddy - he can meet you there.:thumbsup2

And when you ask about decent bacon what do you mean? Are you talking about the way it's cooked or the cut of the meat? Just wondering...

And what the heck is a buttie? It that a biscuit? or is it a sandwich?
YES IT IS

"Chris, you're in a cat 3 right? I think concierge guests can request a dining rotation, and it's guaranteed. I could be mistaken, but I think the concierge guests get first choice of a desired rotation. Might want to ask your TA."

DIDN'T KNOW THAT THANKS

"I do have a question though, why do you use "stones" instead of Kilograms?"

BECAUSE WHEN WE JOINED THE E.U THEY SAID WE HAD TO SCRAP POUNDS/STONES AND THIS WAS "OUR" WAY OF SHOWED THEM THE FINGER

OOOOOOOOH THE FANNY PACK....:rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: .....

Ok folks, thats me done for the evening... hubby is kicking me off the pc...why cant he use the laptop:mad: Anyone would think I'd been typing a lot lately:rolleyes1

Brenda,

You are correct on the dining times.

And Yes, the requests are only that, requests. Nothing is guaranteed. That is why it is important to get what you want with regards to early and late seating. That is the only thing that is guaranteed.

We have always done our requests directly with DCL. I'm not sure if you can make that request once a TA has your ressie.

We also ask for a 4 top table as well because we don't want table mates. (very bad experience our first cruise - although I think I'd have a blast with anyone on this thread. We may have to rethink our request.)

Jeff

Are you on early or late dinning Jeff???

We might dare you to join our table on lates:eek:

Our table might need a warning on it !!!!;)

Crazy people ahead !!:rotfl2: :dance3:

Brenda Jason, Nancy Chuck, Linda Wayne and Elouise, now Medical man has taken the plunge!!! so Sean, Catherine and Olivia! ( glad Seans with us if we do anything toooo bad, he can "save" us,.... being medically minded etc:)

Oh yes a quick cruise question, any idea on when we get the character breakfast, ie times and days? Just you know me for planning, I hope its on an at sea day and NOT too early!!!!

What characters are there?

We do alot of character meals in the parks, so this should be fun.

We did 1900 Park Fayre, CRT, Crystal Palace, Chef Mickeys, &Disney Play house last time.

We hope to do the princess meal at Epcot this oct, breakfast only as we dont like cold fish etc which is the lunch dinner menu.

We did the fanny pack thing on my other thread....

"Oh please this coming from a nation where you call a belt bag a "fanny pack",the first time we came over hazel left her belt bag on the desk at a security desk and a man's voice shouts out "lady, lady you left your fanny pack" i swear my wife moved back across the room to Retrieve it at such high speed i thought i was married to a Ninga....":rotfl2:

Linda,

The character breakfasts are always the day after you do Animator's Palate.

Therefore, the days are:

APL=Sunday (Key West)
LAP=Monday (Sea Day)
PLA=Thursday (doesn't follow A, but they only do it on Sea Days, so you get Thursday)

The times of the breakfast are:

Early Dinner = 8:00 (I think, I can't remember)
Late Dinner = 9:30 (I believe that was the time we went)

The characters included: Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip and Dale.

Just a note, the ship's photographer only takes a picture with Mickey. They use to take more than that.

Thanks for the offer. Unfortunately we are on Early rotation for October (DW's request). However, DS and I preferred late, so that may change before the cruise. If it does, I will let you guys know.

Off hand, what rotation are you guys requesting? If we go late, we will do what we can to get APL so we are seated at 8:00 p.m.

Thanks for the heads up. We have one adult one and one for DS.

Never thought of the CC ones the way you just described. I forgot our adult one on the ship last week and actually used one on CC. Good thing I had my own snorkel.:scared1:

That is a great story.

BTW, with all the typo's that people make, how do you get your kid's name wrong? :lmao: :rotfl2: "It was fun and Elouuse......."
