October 20th 2007 Western Magic Part 9

Question...Weren't we supposed to get pins on our Castaway Club lanyards?

We didn't get any, so I assumed they would be in cc bag in the stateroom, but we had none.

We got pins last year but only lanyards this year. I read that the November 4th Wonder cruisers didn't even get lanyards and were told that DCL is not giving them out anymore and were not sure what was next or if anything was next.

If you would like one I think I have extras from last years cruise around here somewhere. They basically gave 2 of the same pin, 1 to keep and 1 to trade.

Who's not going the 24th if they don't do Double Dips at all in 2009 (meaning we are either an Eastern or Western only)?

Anyone only wanting to go if it is a DD?

All this chat about where the ship is sailing to,Does it matter?...were coming for the company and as long as the sun is shining we don't even care if the ship don't leave port.....:lmao: :lmao:

ps...Steve,Cass spare a thought for us guys,we have $5500 to pay just to step foot in the land of the Hot-dog long before we even think about hotels, transport, food, cruise ships and Hazel's shopping....:rolleyes1

We are still waiting on Neil's company making a decision on his annual leave:rolleyes: - He emailed all the bosses and asked for a decision asap due to having to book it early etc.

Another problem for us is that we cant get the school holidays for that far into 09:rolleyes: - they only go up to July 09 and the rest wont be released for another year:eek: - oh well, I guess if Neil gets the go-ahead Ellis is coming out of school no matter what his school dates are:banana:

Keep your fingers crossed for Neils leave and we'll be on that 24th ship with you all.

I would like a double dip or eastern, but a western would be fine too.

We dont care as long as KK'ers are there!

I forgot to tell you - I pleaded with Neil to join the thread before the cruise - he wouldnt....now I cant get him off it:rotfl2: - he's even read my trippie too! This is the man who wouldnt even sign on:eek: , so if we book for 09 I'm making sure he signs on this time.

Have a great day everyone.

Hi guys :wave2:

Ok, so I haven't started my summary yet BUT I just finished uploading Part 1 of my vacation video. Since I didn't take a whole lot of video, I filled in the blanks with some still photos.

Part 2 won't be done for at LEAST a week, maybe longer.

You will need Windows Media Player to watch it and it's a very large file (about 100MB) so don't be trying to watch it if you are on dial-up

Hope you like it! It's about 11 minutes long.

I loved the video! I love how much time the charactors spent with Kira! Adorable!

It would be interesting to see if there could be a group discount... you could end up with super great prices.

Carrie - I finally got time to look at your photobucket photos - excellent photos - thank you for posting:thumbsup2

Wow! Okay... I'll stop my complaining about the $300-$350 pp it costs me.

No big deal, supply and demand right? Not too many people going from Calgary to Orlando. Most people here go to Disneyland as it is MUCH cheaper and there's tons of flights/deals to CA.

Yeah, I figured as much. That's why a lot of UKers stay for a long time, just like us Canucks...you don't want to spend thousands of dollars for just a week! But we will have to do that for KK2 since Kira will stay with family, don't want to be without her for more than the week!

Thanks, yeah there were a few characters that were REALLY good with her. Some just waved at her and posed for a pic too though. Goofy was my fave!!!!

Speaking of KK2, we've seen all the ports now so I don't REALLY care where we go but I would prefer a Western because I hate St Maarten and I hate getting up early for customs on St Thomas day! :headache: But I could definitely handle two full days of hammock time on Serenity Bay :cloud9:

We might try to stay an extra day or two if Wizarding World of Harry Potter is open at IOA and for Aquatica!! :woohoo:

I don't care for St. Maarten either. Been there, done that. We'll just go to the beach right there in the bay we dock in if that is the case. Been to Orient and wasn't impressed.

As for St. Thomas, I wish they'd go there first so that we don't need to do Customs/Immigration. But it is probably too far to get from St. Maarten to Castaway in one day.

Although, they go so slow down to St. Maarten (16-17 knots I believe) that I wish they'd go the full 21-22 and go to Antigua instead. That would be fab. :thumbsup2

Just noticing Chris, you need to come up with a new clevery saying for under your avatar, you just finished your back to back Magic. Knowing you I'm certain you'll think of something good.

I would recommend that if anyone is uncertain of which dining they want, take early as soon as the cruise becomes available. It is much easier to switch to late since early fills up quickly.

You would even be able to switch to late on board if you wanted. There are always people looking for early that have late.

hey rose !!!
you and bob have fun at the football game yesterday?
i hear it was a good game. i wouldnt know. since the indians choked the only sport i watch on tv is womens beach volleyball.:cool2: pirate: :rolleyes1
did you see that match with the swedish twins.
