October 20th 2007 Western Magic Part 9

Perhaps everyone on KK2 should get a Planky and take it on board for the reunion.:rotfl2:

Fab idea:rotfl2: - I have number 3, so get add on from there

we saw them in the orlando airport and thought about getting one but figured the cruise was over and we would never hear of planky again.
now he may be the hottest selling toy on ebay this holiday.:lmao:
who knew?

How could you possibly leave him on the shelf:eek: - I would have bought them all if Neil would have let me:rolleyes1

We actually had an 11 on this cruise. It was a little tight for 2 adults and a teenager but it wasn't horrible. I asked Sean since it would be just the 2 of us would he be willing to do another inside ( I know he likes having a porthole), and he said yes that the cabin wasn't too bad.

I can imagine it would be a bit squashed with a teenager....It will be fine though for just the 2 of you and just think of all that money you'll be saving:banana: - more cocktails;)

If we do should we post it here and start giving out numbers for each Planky?

Absolutely:lmao:

OK I'll add us at 50% yes although Rachel says she's going no matter what :goodvibes

Karen

I just read your tripee report and loved it. Thank you so much for taking the time to do that.

Thank you!

I just read the end of Karen's trippie, Karen you did a great job and I am sorry to see it end. Now I'll just have to look forward to reading your trippie from KK2 :cool1:
I'm off for the night. Tomorrow we need to get an early start up to Green Bay for the packer game. Al and Rachel are going to the game and I'm riding along and will find a place to relax and do some reading while they are at the game. I wonder if any of the other WI KKers are going to this game too.

Trippie from KK2:eek: -This one was hard enough

This is very early and we haven't booked squat, but we started talking about it yesterday. It would be my 40th birthday (how did I get that old???) present from Jason...unless he decides to give me diamonds instead. :lmao:

Yeah! - Planky 1 and 3 are going to be onboard...come on Nancy - you gotta bring Planky 2 now:goodvibes

OK just a warning I am one of those what if persons. Even though I totally trust Jeff's expertise in DCL's scheduling. What if they decided to do the double dip the week of the 31st? Would we switch gears and do it that week or stay with the week of the 24th?

I would heavily push for a change in weeks. I really want that double dip! I told Laura, "I'm ready to move to Castaway Cay and live in a grass shack!"

Way to Go!

Whoo Hoo!

Just realized last night that my credit card has points for usage that will give me a hefty discount for my airfare! I had already generated enough points for a $200 discount! I figure that by the time I need to buy the plane tickets for KK2, I should be able to defer between $400-$500 of the cost of the flight! I'm pretty jazzed!

Roll on. And come read my food report if you don't mind pages and pages of exposition with tasty food pictures. It's the last link in my signature: Hungry are the Damned ...

Hope to see everyone around the boards. :goodvibes

Sean and I will be turning 40 in 09 as well. Keeping my fingers crossed that everyone can make it!

I would heavily push for a change in weeks. I really want that double dip! I told Laura, "I'm ready to move to Castaway Cay and live in a grass shack!"
Well tell her she can build her grass shack next to mine. I am bound and determine to stow away on that island next year. Of course my logical husband keeps telling me we can't abandon the kids :confused3

Hey how many of us have to sail to get a group rate?:thumbsup2

You are not leaving the kids behind, they are more then welcome to come visit you by way of DCL. But that would be here choice to come visit. :rotfl:

HEY GUYS

I just called DCL. The lady I got was not much help but she was able to tell me in order to get a group rate. That it needs to be a minimum of 8 staterooms. If everyone that is on the list goes you already have it. She was not able to tell me any more and the group reservation people do not work on Sundays.

It would be interesting to find out if you can still pick the cat you want and what type of discount it would be. My wheels are spinning already. I already figured that for Scott, me and Mac at the bottom of the boat inside room with airfair it would be roughly $3000. Not to bad. Considering DL is going to push us to roughly $1000 and that does not include gas to get there and back and all our food costs.

Plus if we went on DCL again the only thing we would try for would be the pairisailing. The rest of it is of no interest to us. :rolleyes1

That is always possible. There is also the possibility they don't do the Double Dips in 2009.

Looking at the Calendar, the 24th would be the 4th Saturday (so 4th cruise of the month). Also, it is the last Full week of the month, which usually is the week they do the Double Dip.

I will say, we are ONLY going the 24th regardless of the itinerary.

If the Double Dip is on a different date, we will NOT be joining y'all on the KK2. Sorry. :sad1:

I doubt that it would be a group rate in addition to a On Board booking credit...so the question is, would those of us with the credit be considered part of the 8?

What is this ONLY 20% crap???? :confused3 :rolleyes1

Wow, great job! I would be jazzed too!! :woohoo:
We will be looking at $600-$700 per ticket :sad2:

Tell me about it, he always pulls out the logical crap when I don't need him too. That's ok, he can visit with the kids too. :goodvibes

Well like I said I totally trust your advice, plus don't want to miss sailing with you for the 3rd time in a row.:thumbsup2

No. I could be completely wrong on it. I'm not questioning you questioning me. Please don't think that.

We need to go on the 24th because the schools are closed 2 days that week up here in WI, so only 3 days missed.

I'm just looking at what has happened in the past. They may not even do the Double Dips (which then I'm hoping for an Eastern, but will just be happy to be on the ship).

DCL could throw my theory for a loop and do it on the 31st. That wouldn't play out on the calendar for one a month (usually at the end) since it would run into November, but if they go Double Dip on 9/27, then it could happen, but would be 5 weeks instead of 4 in between DD's.

Wish DCL would just put the dates/itineraries out there. :sad2:

Packers Win!!

and the Lions Lost!!!! :cheer2:

Packers up by 2 games now in the NFC-North.

I see the Steelers one today (sorry Mike). Wasn't a special someone going to this game today? Looks like it was a come from behind win too. Can't wait to hear the story on this one.

Jeff if we go we'd be sailing with you on the 24th. The only way we can possibly go is if we go when Rachel has a long weekend off of school and that would be the 24th regardless of the itinerary.

I didn't think that at all.:) I hope they come out soon too.:rolleyes1

Jeff if we go we'd be sailing with you on the 24th. The only way we can possibly go is if we go when Rachel has a long weekend off of school and that would be the 24th regardless of the itinerary so we could have a mini KK2 if everyone else abandons us.

I wouldn't use the word "abandon". I don't want people thinking the KK2 is set for the 24th and if they go to a different cruise it is not the KK2. The group should decide what they want. If you and I are on the 24th, we may be breaking from them. I don't want anyone feeling left out. Maybe we'll have to run a dual meets thread if it is on two different dates.

I hear you about the off of school issue. We will probably fly down on the non-stop the Friday NIGHT before the cruise so that we only miss the 3 days, not 4 like we did this year. Now watch, WDW will have MNSSHP on that Friday in '09. :sad2: We can be certain that MNSSHP will be the night we get off the ship, it is Halloween that day. Book your tickets early because it will sell out. Even sold out, there will be no more than 25K-30K in attendance, so that is light in comparison to some days at that park.
