October 20th 2007 Western Magic Part 9

Oh poor baby hope she feels better. That's our girl though, choosing a Disney movie.

I think it is just allergies but I could not get the nose to stop running so I gave her some allergy benadryl and I think it kicked her butt. She is laying on the couch watching tv and eating crackers, asking me when it will be bed time.

Who was it that was asking me to notify them when I listed mores stuff on ebay. I am sorry I remember the converstation but I can not even remember if it was someone on here or not. :confused3

I am loving this weather. It has been overcast for 2 days now. It drisseled a little in middle of the night last night. Now it has been raining a steady rain since noon today so for 7 1/2 hours it has been raining. I love it. I just want to be out playing in it.

Good for you Carrie!:thumbsup2 :cool1:

I'm sure you all won't agree with this one, but my son didn't sleep in his room all night until he was almost 13!

I was terrible at enforcing it and since I was so scared as a kid(I snuck into my Grandma's bed.... we lived with her..... every night after my mom went to work on the night shift..... did this till I was 12 too!)..... so I couldn't force my son either or trick him..... I just empathized with him so badly.....

Guess from what I've heard from other parents that it seems pretty common for single mothers to do that
Sean had 2 friends that when I spoke with the moms they told me their son's still slept with them and they were 12 too!

One single mother told me that when her 3 kids come home from college.... 2 twin girls and a boy that they all snuggle on mom's bed for a nap every now and then....

now.... I can't imagine that...

but I guess we're all different!

So, Carrie, don't think you have it so bad yet! Mackenzie is only 5!

Elijah and Asiah sleep with their mother almost every night. My girls did too. Diane

Great job Carrie:thumbsup2
Scott too!

Bob and I both lost that cruise gain within a week or two.

But since I lost it after the cruise, I've now gained 2 lbs back again:headache:
Yuck! I hate my weight!
But I'm so tired and lazy to exercise:sad2:

I still have two more pounds to go before I get to my pre-cruise weight. Walt is probably there. Lucky him. Diane

I have caught up on everyone's trip report. Now what. I have ran out of things that I want to do tonight. I have cut all the photos I have the trip scrapbook. Can not do more work on it until I get my moms photos. I have listed stuff on ebay. I should bake some cookies but it is kind of late to do that one.

Did anyone stay in a cat 11? How did you like it? Thanks.:thumbsup2

The 3 of us did. It was 2 adults and a teen and it was a little tight for us. I believe Karen did this and said it was fine with little Ellis. This is what we are planning on booking for KK2, but it will just be DH and I. It is dark at night, but we just turned the tv to the channel with the camera on the front of the ship. We were on deck 7 and it was quiet.

Yep - we did - it was absolutely fine.we were hardly in the room to be honest. We'd fly in to get showered and changed and then run to dinner. We were also busy going floor to floor delivering tag bags too:rotfl2:

We asked for the centre table to be removed the second we got into our room so it gave us a lot more space. When we had room service snacks we just sat on the sofa or on our bed.

I didnt miss a window either - we just used that channel on the tv to see what the weather was like:rotfl:

There was plenty of storage for all 3 of us. I would just do a 5 minute tidy up every day and put stuff away to keep the surfaces clear.

I'd definately stay in an 11 again. Obviously I'd get a balcony if we had $$$$$$$$$, but I'm not sure how much time I'd actually spend sitting there knowing there was so much going on on the ship. There are photos of our cat 11 on my trippie - it would be day 8 just after we boarded etc.

I've been thinking about a cat 11 for KK2 also, but I'm on the fence. We had a cat 8 (porthole) on deck 7 and just LOVED it. We've decided we're not in the room enough to spend the $$$ on a verandah, but I don't know if I can give up my window. We had nice views of the ports when we came in, and I got a few good pics.

I also liked the layout of the cat 8 - Thomas's bed was over by the window, so we could close the curtain when he went to bed, but still go in and out the door without walking through his "room".

So, is anyone going to try to get the same room they had for KK2?

So, as I check in for the 4th time today, I have to wonder....

Now that we've all been on a DCL cruise (or more than one), will our lives ever go back to normal? I mean, after the pictures have been put in scrapbooks, albums, or boxes, and the souvenirs have been put away, will it all change? Or will we remain, longing for the next cruise, and the next....

Personally, I'm not sure how I'm going to last 2 LONG years before we cruise again.....

yep, 2 years is a long time to wait, but we like to sneak a few wdw trips in between cruises.
but we had sooo much fun that this cruise is always in our minds. we still have our door magnets on our refridg door.:wizard:
plus to us the dis makes the wait time go by faster.:thumbsup2
we have a wdw trip planned for feb but are still in cruise mode.

Thanks, guys. I know I will miss the verandah, but I think cat 11 is the way to go for Rob and me. Without the kids it'll be easier to get up on deck to enjoy the view and feel like I am back on the verandah.:thumbsup2

I have the magnets from our DIStag bags on our fridge, and the postcard from Mickey that they sent us for rebooking!

For us, WDW would also be a major trip, so I don't think we'll get there before the cruise either. Plane tickets for 3 add up quickly!

I'll just have to keep checking in with everyone here!

i know walt and di had a verandah but not sure how they spent any time on it.:rolleyes1
i heard they partied hard in rockn bar d every nite.:woohoo:
