October 20th 2007 Western Magic Part 9

I did 36 minutes on the elliptical and 30 minutes of chi-gong. :goodvibes

I haven't check the yahoo site. How many do we have on the loser table. Last night, I think there was 7 of us.

I think I will be on the gainer table this week, have the munchies. Trying really really really really hard though to keep on track.

Two very long strands. They have 10 different settings or combinations of light displays.

So are both strands set to the same display. We used to have musical bells that were lights on our tree. We could set them to blink to the music. They got old and were falling about so I replaced them last year with just normal led lights.

Can I join you on the gainer table. No one ever thinks about the ones who want do gain weight. I know you don't want to, but I thought it was a cute thought. I am still holding even at triple digits. I am 101. I lost 2 pounds since the cruise. Scott within a week was right back to his precruise weight.

Well if I could donate some of my weight to you I would gladly do it, although having you say that you want to gain weight is a little refreshing. I hate hearing thin people talk about how "fat" they are, especially when to see them sideways all they would have to do is eat an m&m. Your tiny but you look like a healthy tiny. I have seen some very unhealthy tiny people. I am bound and determine to get back on the wagon. I want to lose 100 lbs with in the next 2 years. I know I can do it, food is just my drug and I have to overcome it. I am thinking about going back on an Atkins type of diet, it worked well for me a couple of years ago. It's hard with the holidays, and working in a school is even worse.

GOOD MORNING EVERYBODY:goodvibes

I just got christmas out the loft:yay: (well...Neil and I did it together).

I'm about to start the mamouth task. Havent done it in this house before so I dont know where to put stuff yet:confused3

MerryChristmasKK'ers

Neil and Scott (1)... I would like to borrow Karen and Carrie for about a week to come and reorganize and decorate my house! :rotfl: ;)

Sounds good to me! - I absolutely love christmas - I'd have it all year round:banana:

Hello Kkers.

Mr. DISboard (Andy...Verandah Man) is willing to try to help me out with something new for the old Yahoo site. In order to do this, he will need an invitation to Yahoo. Just letting you know that I will extend that invite to him. BTW, it is more than likely that Andy and his family will be members of the KK2's cruise!

Woo Hoo! - a celebrity on our cruise:banana:

Good morning everyone...

Currently, where I am it's about 4:30 AM, and I have been awake for almost an hour. I just can't get back to sleep. So, I thought I'd hop on and post some nonsense for everyone to read (or not!) :goodvibes

I was SO excited to get my Disney Visa in the mail Wednesday! I have made it a new hobby to find ways to rack up Disney Rewards points without carrying a balance. We have another card I'm trying to pay off, and I don't want to add to the debt problem! So, I'm going to use the Disney card for gas, and also pay some of my bills online, then turn right around and pay the Disney bill online as soon as the charges hit. I'll need to be paying close attention to this one.....

I'll be there too....we've eaten out twice this week and I did not do a good job with my food choices.

I have my weigh in date set for Monday, but maybe I'll switch to Saturday...it seems like most people are weighing in that day?

I used to go to WW meetings, but I stopped going before the cruise. Now, I'm going to do it on my own - with a little help from my friends!

I think we should add Carrie to the table! Everyone needs moral support for their goals!

Carrie, I have a very good friend here at home, who is very thin also. It's genetics - her brothers are all skinny too. And while I envy her sometimes, it does also have its drawbacks. She is always cold (especially in winter, but I've seen her wear turtlenecks in the summer) because she doesn't have much for "insulation". Have you tried doing any weight training? I know that muscle weighs more than fat. That's what I need to get started doing...building up some arm strength. Hmmm... I'll have to do a web search from some upper body free weight exercises. I have 2 pound and 5 pound weights at home.

Becky, I hear ya! Sweets are my vice...I can't get enough! I don't smoke, I don't really drink, so eating's what's left, right?

I couldn't do Atkins though, my cholesterol would go through the roof if I did. I asked for a book called Volumetrics for Christmas, it's supposed to be about what foods make you fuller on fewer calories or something. I hope I get it. :)

Hi there Jen - sorry I wasnt on line - judt put the tree up with Neils help - its now all assembled. Usually takes me about 4 hours - it was waaay easier with someone tall to stick in the branches.

Just about to start unpacking each bauble - takes hours also - everyone has its own little box - great to store them but a real pain to unwrap:rolleyes:

I'm having a cuppa then its back to work:goodvibes - we have firends over tomorrow so I at least want the tree finished. I cant find the lights yet though:rolleyes: - it all got packed up differently when we were moving house so its a case of mooching in each box.

By for now:goodvibes

Not true Carrie, we think of you all the time. ;)

Here's a suggestion from another KK1er. I think it's a good one.

For that table, we should have people use either their weight from right before or right after the KK1 cruise so we can see how much a person has changed. If a person waits until early 2009, and gains 50 pounds between now and then and then loses 60, they won't look too much different to us.

I like this idea :)

What's this? You're not glued to the DISboards 24/7??? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

In our house, it's Pete's job to put up the tree (much easier now that we have the prelit kind with just 3 sections) and then we all decorate. We also keep our ornaments in each little box (his family's tradition-I married into it!) and it does take a while.

Ok, I suppose I should go do some work now!

I don't follow Atkins totally, I couldn't handle that much fat. I just cut out a what I think are bad carbs.. I do a lot of salads and then only have a protein and veggie at dinner. I do however eat oatmeal in the morning which is a nono on Atkins, but with the lack of fiber that Atkins has I have to have it.
I am also going to start the whole 6 small meals a day thing, if I can figure out exactly how small they need to be.

That doesn't sound too bad. Although, I've been dieting for so much of my life that I can barely stand to look at a salad!

I did well on the weight watcher core plan - it really got me back to eating "whole foods" - less processed foods, lean meats, veggies, whole grains like whole wheat couscous, stuff like that. I just have to cook more - no convenience foods! That gets tough sometimes witha full time job, house, and a little kid (and a big kid)!

So, as I check in for the 4th time today, I have to wonder....

Now that we've all been on a DCL cruise (or more than one), will our lives ever go back to normal? I mean, after the pictures have been put in scrapbooks, albums, or boxes, and the souvenirs have been put away, will it all change? Or will we remain, longing for the next cruise, and the next....

Personally, I'm not sure how I'm going to last 2 LONG years before we cruise again.....

  My tree is up:banana:

Its now 5.45pm and I started at 9am - really good going:thumbsup2

I have just finished my fireplace too:banana: - all in one day:yay:

Neil was actually useful today:rotfl2:

We've also decided to get someone in to plaster the garage rather than trying to plasterboard and skim it ourselves (myself:rolleyes: )so that will save us a load of hours:thumbsup2 (as long as its not ££££££- if it is then its back to plan 1:rolleyes: )

Still 3 more smaller trees to go and then Neil does the outdoor stuff - should be finished by early next week.

I'll post some piccies soon. Gotta go cook dinner - something frozen and quick tonight :rolleyes1
