I am taking a break for a few. I now have Tuesdays dinner done and another load of laundry. I am trying to get motivated to cook up potatoes for Wednesday night.

Busy morning for me already. I have done 2 loads of laundry, swept and moped the laundry room. (that does not get done much I am afraid), and I have made taco meat for Monday nights dinner.

See Cheryl I remember to eat at home monday so we will be home if Rachal calls. :thumbsup2

dont worry!

i WILL call!

The weather here is finally cooling off. Yesterday and today we have had the doors open in the morning and evening. I even had to turn the ceiling fan in our room down to med. last night. By the time we get home from the trip if will be time to wear a jacket, maybe.

I only have 2 more work days and they are both 5 hour days. I talked to my boss last night and he said I could take Wednesday off. Of course it is unpaid but heck. There is to much going on this week to work an 8 hour days the day before we have to leave.

DW and MIL are doing the Dolphin encounter. Me, the boys and my FIL are going to Chankanaab Park on our own for a few ours. Anyone want to share a cab? or know if there is a shuttle service to the park.

Anyone doing the ray encounter at CC?

We are doing the ray encounter there at 11:00 am--I think the newlyweds are with us as well. :bride:

Hi All:

Just called. not that I am excited or anything. Here are the movies for our cruise:

Wild Hogs
Meet the Robinsons
Bridge to Teribithia
Invincible
Ratatuoille
Game Plan
UnderDog (starring? Mike):lmao:

We are exicted to see Ratatuoille--we have not seen it yet so that will probably be the one movie we go to see. Thanks so much for the info--I appreciate it. :flower3:

What is the general rule for kids as far as dressing for dinner on cruise casual nights. Is it ever appropriate for the kids to wear shorts to dinner?

We are plowing through the packing activities. Whew! Packing for a cruise is more challenging than going to the beach for a week. There it is just shorts, swimwear and t-shirts.

BTW: Guys like wenches because they don't mind being called a wench. Something very caveman about that!

true, true!!pirate:
i didnt even want to dress up this time for pirates nite but when robin said she would wear the wench outfit again, i said count me in!!!pirate:
pirate: pirate: pirate:

Nice! I'm finally looking forward to a lower electricity bill!

Good Job! I got 4 left counting today, the good news is that one of those is only a 8 hour day!

Good Morning, all. Less than a week to go. I am on full weather watch mode. Although, I doubt we need to worry about Hurricanes. I'd like to have a few sunny days. NOAA states no tropical storms at this time.

Not concerned about the circulation in the South Central Caribbean? :confused3

They are saying it is moving west towards Nicaragua. But with it that far out I don't think they can precisely predict it. I would be most concerned about that. Weather Channel pointed this out this morning and this is what NOAA says about it:

TROPICAL WAVE IS ALONG 75W S OF 18N MOVING W NEAR 10-15 KT. WELL
DEFINED LOW LEVEL INVERTED-V CURVATURE IS OBSERVED WITH A
POSSIBLE LOW LEVEL CENTER BEGINNING TO FORM NEAR 13N. SCATTERED
MODERATE/STRONG CONVECTION IS W OF THE WAVE DUE TO STRONG
EASTERLY UPPER LEVEL WINDS LOCATED FROM 12N-15N BETWEEN 76W-79W.

Then there are those Lows that keep forming right off of the Yucatan at the west end of the trough that goes from the southern Bahamas to Cancun. Weather Channel says they are only rain events and the seas are only at 4 feet, so that will mean smooth sailing, just possible wetness. When I was watching the last couple, they said they are so close to the mainland that they probably won't have time to form. All you need is one to be a little further out in the warmer water and it could develop rather quickly.

They said some of the moisture should push up towards TX in the next 3 days. I'm hoping that means the trough will pull north and off of Grand Cayman and Cozumel.

I think Wednesday and Thursday will give us a good feel if we're safe. Hopefully the Low in the South will do nothing or move due west and not turn north.

So what does your gut tell you at this point. Smooth sailing? or wet weather. Is this type of weather usual for this time of year?

Darn it, 11:00 and our AC kicked on. Downstairs was getting a little warm but I thought it was the oven. I guess upstairs is warm and with Scott sleeping up their I figure it is time to shut the doors. :sad2: I was hoping for long time today.

Wednesdays dinner is in the oven. I am trying something new for our last night home. Hope it turns out well.

At this point, I think it's still a little bit too soon to tell. The seas have been rather smooth, up to 4 foot waves (we've had in the teens on a couple of cruises).

If that trough doesn't push north (or south for that matter) we could be seeing a chance of rain any day that week. It has been sitting in the same place for over a week. It looked like it was raining in Coz last week when the ship was there and on that same day (the day after GC), it was pouring in GC. I'd like to see it move from where it is at. Not that we'd get rerouted if it stays there, but that we could have wet weather.

The lows off of the Yucatan keep popping up as well. They keep saying they are too close to land to turn into anything. Could one form a little further east on that line? I don't know. Not sure what that would mean. It would have more time over the warm water (which is used to fuel the storms).

Lastly, I first heard about the circulation in the Southern Caribbean this morning on the WC. I then checked out what NOAA had on it. From the satellite they showed on the WC, you can clearly see the circulation. That would be my concern at the moment if it turns NW or N.

I'm like Steve, in full weather watch mode now (not like I wasn't 2 weeks ago - that is how I know that trough has been sitting there so long :sad2: ). I'll probably be catching the Tropical Update (:50 past the hour) on the WC morning, early evening and late night everyday along with checking the NHC site on NOAA, www.nhc.noaa.gov, everyday if not twice, along with the Intellicast forecast and analysis pages.

Me too!
That's the one I want to see the most:yay:

Hmmm, Victoria....
