I am back. Paid the bills for this week. I will wait till Wednesday to pay the ones while we are gone. I even spoke to my mother for almost an hour. So is feeling so much better these days. It is such a releif for me. She even stated tonight that she will not be need a wheelchair on this trip.

It is a huge weight off of my shoulders, I will tell you. She has really made great progress. I would say she is 90% back to her normal self before all of this happened. She will probably never be 100% because of the memory loss but we are willing to deal with that.

Carrie,
I just wanted to let you know how impressed I am with the way you handle the step-kids.
I saw what my best friend went through with her step-kids and their mother and I know it can be very difficult. She went out of her way for those kids just to be smacked down more often then not. In fact she took her step-daughter on a Disney cruise, and had to go through a lot of hoops to do so.

Hang in there, I know it can be difficult, but you are doing a great job, and from what I read Scott seems very supportive of you.

My mother and I have both been fighters from a very young age. Medically we have both been through so much. I can honestly say her more then me after this last year. But I did get a lot of my strength from her. She has shown me that there is no reason to give up on life. That a person has way to many people who care about them to just give up.

I really did not know how many people cared about my mother until April when I was sitting in that ICU room. I thought I would be sitting there alone most of the time, but instead it was like a revolving door. People were always in and out of her room. People that she worked with years ago, friends, people in the hospital that she volunteered with, and even family from out of state that I did not know she had. It is amazing how people pull together in times like that.

I cant believe I am up reading this while Walt is snoring. Walt is going riding tomorrow and I am going to the football games with the kids. I really enjoy watching them. Asiah cheer and Elijah playing center.
