I cant believe I am up reading this while Walt is snoring. Walt is going riding tomorrow and I am going to the football games with the kids. I really enjoy watching them. Asiah cheer and Elijah playing center.

I just wanted to let you know how impressed I am with the way you handle the step-kids.
I saw what my best friend went through with her step-kids and their mother and I know it can be very difficult. She went out of her way for those kids just to be smacked down more often then not. In fact she took her step-daughter on a Disney cruise, and had to go through a lot of hoops to do so.

Hang in there, I know it can be difficult, but you are doing a great job, and from what I read Scott seems very supportive of you.

You have no idea how much that means to me these days. I have been in the same position as your friend. I have been in the kids life for 9 years now. I am the one who pretty much raised them before ever marring Scott. It has been really hard. When they were younger I only had to deal with their mom smacking me down. Then of course i had his mother and grandmother that have their opinions of me. But as the kids have gotten older and as she took full custody away from us, I now deal with the kids and their mother smacking me down. It is like they take turns doing it and they enjoy doing it. In the past few years I have really changed how I interact and deal with them. It hurts me they way I am with them now. They have really turned me into the type of step mother I never wanted to be. But I really just can not handle them any more. I try to get close to them and when I think we have made progress it blows up in my face. I am tired of continually being hurt by them. Now it effects my daughter and that hurts even more. So I tend to focus on her and not the other two. I know that sounds wrong but I saves me from getting hurt as much.

If you are interested I can give you the whole story face to face but I have to warn you it is a long story. There are times that I wonder if being around them is even worth it anymore.

Hi. Lori here............Scott just got me up a little bit ago. He heard Julia waking up and she got sick. Everywhere. On her, on Alex, and the bed and even on her blanket!!!!!!!! Scott and I just finished cleaning everything and everyone up and got them back to bed. He told me he jinxed himself by saying he had a quiet house!!!!! He knew it wouldn't last.

We are leaving very very early on the 20th - I won't even have time to do this like I normally do every morning.

We are hoping to get on the ship pretty early so the kids can have time to swim while we have a little snack by the pool (I can't tell you how excited I am about all the yummy food we are going to have )

When are you leaving?

Rick and I leave on the 18th.
