Yes we used them last time. On the return trip we just had the kids lay on the bags to suck the air out of them. We didn't get too many of them wrinkled either.

I wish they'd all serve raisins. We dont have a great deal of choice here in the uk over airlines. I remember when we took our first internal flight in the US, we were amazed people were just walking on at the last minute and finding any seat. Maybe its changed a bit since 9/11, but we have to be at the airport at least 2 or 3 hours in advance and are allocated a specific seat.

BTW, Karen, I had a talk with my son about Ellis' allergy. I'll do so again before the cruise. He does understand, as he has a child in his class that also has a peanut allergy.

Do you think you'll recognise people at the Dis meet? Thats my main concern that I'll be standing by a KKer and not even say hello - I'm not very good at names and faces so I aplogise in advance to anyone who thinks I'm rude - I'm not doing intentionally

My fear is that I will not remember Names. I am awful at names. I have a cheat sheet that I keep near the computer for everyones names. But most of us will not have our DIS nickname on us. So, I'll be grasping for peoples names.

Carrie, the girls are beautiful. They definitely favor each other.

If it makes you feel any better, my sis and her family are driving from near Nashville. They are leaving at 5pm EST on Friday evening. They have a 13 hour trip, have to set aside time to eat and sleep. With luck on their side, they figure they'll get to the ship by 2-3 in the afternoon Saturday. If anyting goes wrong then this car trip may turn into a disasterous idea. Their kids are 4 and 5.

Those kids will be asking for 13 hours plus...."Are we there yet?"

I haven't told Sean's school yet.
This is only his second (and last ) year at this school and we've never done this before so I don't know how they'll react.

It should go well though I think, this is a very progressive and independent small private school. Best school around this area.... well also one of the top notch in the country (so they tell us anyway), We love this school, never met so many kind, friendly, upbeat, tolerant smart teacher, staff, and kids anywhere else.

Only thing is it's Sean's senior year. And his is taking some tough courses.
He'll be sitting on deck on the cruise getting sun and doing lots of homework.

Don't forget to account for the weight of his books. We forgot all about that with Kelsey and she is only in Junior high. 2 weeks before we go is fall break so they have a week off. I am hopeing she can get most of her work done during that time.

Her PE teacher just wants her to journal each day what activites she does and how they affect the body. Pretty easy, just have to bring along a journal.

However we have not heard back from any of her teachers except that one.

When I last was catching up with the postings from last weekend I was reading through and noticed that he had deleted all his postings from about last weekend.... maybe from saturday on..... can't remember when it started.
I tried to catch up on my reading to see what happened but can't quite figure it out.
Something somebody said?
About postings? Milestone posts? Counting?
Or about politics? There was something about that being mentioned?

We all miss you

I am hoping that my DH did not put his foot in his mouth. I know he was talking to someone about Jeff keeping track of the post and the milestones but I think it was all a joke.

they make you wear a pedomator and walk a certain amount of steeps!

in my 3 years of being there i have not once had to make it up!
