Thank you for all the comments on the pictures. I really had a fun time taking them on this trip. Normally I could care less to take them but now with a working digital and all of its features I am having a fun time taking them.

I loved all the pictures. The one in the field of flowers is the best!!! Sh'e adorable!:cutie:

Cass, I loved the pictures of Kira also. She is such a doll. Does she just smile at everything? Can't wait to see her in person!princess:

I wouldn't bother Karen. You get towels for Castaway and any of the Disney organised excursions, that require towels. You can always buy them in Orlando...they're cheap enough. Save space!

Heather
So we can take the towels from the ship onto the islands???? I have been wondering that as well

That is still going to be one heck of a great trip!!! And a ton of planning and packing! I can only imagine. Have you thought of those bags that you can vacume the air out of? Space savers? We used them on our last cruise and it saved us a ton and a half of room. We even had clothing that we never wore.

so they really work ?

My Mom bought some and has never used them - I asked her if I can borrow them for the trip

Soudns like a great way to keep the clothes neat

We'll be watching it. Watching Kid Nation right now. Not loving it.

I am not going to watch it = something about the concept that bothers me. These parents took their kids out of school, sent them to live with strangers for a month - all to get $5,000. Somethign isnt right there

I live for Amazing Race. They had an Amazing Race Marathon on the Gameshow network and I taped them. :woohoo: :woohoo:

I would love to do that.

My DH and BIL sent in an audition tape about 2 years ago--they never heard anything though. :sad2:

Susan, I didn't get to read what you are looking for but it seems like kids games of some sort?

How about renting one of those Electronic Basketball Games. Have the kids shoot hoops and keep track. Break the teams down by age groups. The kids who shoot the most in their age category in a one minute time wins a prize. You could do it in 1 hour intervals.:confused3

OR...Contact a lock company (Like Master Lock) and ask for a bunch of old keys. Get one lock with a real key or two. Bury all the keys in some sand and the kids get to try one key to unlock the lock. Lock up a bunch of stuffed animals in a dog kennel. If the key opens the lock, they get to pick a stuffed animal.

Is this the kind of stuff you're looking for?:confused3

great idea about the keys - will have to try that one

She is very serious about it. She says it is her last chance before she does something more drastic such as surgery.

Then I hope she gets on the show--it's so much better to learn a change in life style than to opt for surgery.

Hi everyone,

Really quite sad around here. Yesterday, we were told that our dear dog, Sasha, has a malignant tumor on her leg. The lab tests says it's "highly suggestive of sarcoma" which means cancer. :sad1: She's 9.5 years old, and looks and acts quite healthy. She has a surgical consultation tomorrow, and if they agree with the surgery, it will probably be on Monday. I'm not even sure yet what kind of cancer. She's been the best dog, so very affectionate. We had her long before we had kids. Our hearts are breaking.

I'll keep everyone posted, but from what I've been reading on canine cancers, and the size of the tumor, it's not looking too good.

 to all of you!

Oh gawwwwwwwwwwwwd!! Not you too!! LOL

He told me the internet at school was acting up so his teacher told him to log on and see if it was up. He all of a sudden yells, "It's up!" She goes over and he has googled PIE and there are all these pics of pie on the screen. LOL She says, "Why pie?" He just says, "I like pie." Go figure.

I LOVE that kid!! :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Well, at least we will be in good company then!! I believe that there are only13 Cat 12 rooms and we have 2 and you have 1...and if they are still advertising them as available, then maybe we have a chance of being bumped if they sell them?
Since this is our first DC, I imagine that we won't spend too much time in the room anyway!

We have one of them too! :) :) We are a family of four so at least we should get an 11.

I don't know if I posted this or not so forgive me if it is a duplicate post. We rolled all of our silver coin and finished earlier this week...total....drumroll.............$730.00. We are going to take the pennies in to one of those machines instead of rolling them all.

Incredible!! Good job to all of you. :thumbsup2

Does anyone know if Disney usually assigns a room # before you sail for a CAT 12 GTY on the website or do they usually give it to you when you check-in on sailing day?
I gotta get back to work!!!
:confused3

Went I read this again...I sounded so rude. Apologies.

Yes, you do get Characters at your table. I think we had Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto. Chip and Dale were also around as they did a musical number and we all stood up and waved our napkins.

It's also the time when the Maitre De earns his tip as he personally gives you your ticket!

You will enjoy it.

Heather

Just to add to Heather, when we were there in January, I believe it was only Mickey who had a ship's photographer with him. I would have to check our photos to be certain, but they do NOT go around with all the characters.

SO HAVE YOUR CAMERAS READY!
