Lori I agree with Jen, Door County is a wonderful place to visit! I have been going in the fall for a get away weekend with a few friends from work the last few years and we won't be able to make it this year because we can't all find a common weekend that will work and I am very sad about that. Lots of good food (if you ever do go there a fish boil is a must), quaint shops, and very laid back and relaxing.

Hi Jen. It sounds lovely. It might be a trip our family needs to take.

Jen you'll have to tell me more about that restaurant at our meet on Sun. That sounds like alot of fun and I'd like to check it out next time I get to Door County!

Can't wait to meet you Sun.

It is such a neat place...something for everyone to do. We found a state park with a white sandy beach, on the Lake Michigan side, and there's a bit of a tide on the lake (not like the ocean, but it is noticeable) so waves gently lap in...so fun!

And, we found a cute little restaurant where if you sit up at the counter, your food is brought out on a remote control train! So fun!

Nancy we'll continue to keep Spencer inour thoughts and prayers. Here's a  for you my friend. It must be so very hard to see your godson like that

Hi everyone,

Just a quick update on my Godson Spencer. He is still in the coma and now to add to all his other injuries and the coma, he has a bowel obstruction which will need surgery, his right lung will not inflate (another surgery needed) and he has pneumonia.

He has not responded at all to anyone except for a finger squeeze every now and then. Hopefully that is a little good news. It just seems he takes one step forward and two steps back.

Please continue to pray for him and send good thoughts his way.

Thanks everyone

  for Cass and Kira that these 2 teeth finally pop out!

Just got home from dropping Rob off at the airport, he's off to Halifax on business till Friday.

Kira has been teething for the past 2 days and is super duper cranky! She did really well with her first 4 teeth, only a bit cranky but these two have been trying to push through for a week now :sad2:

Poor pumpkin' :guilty:

Victoria now I definitely need to make sure I get to Racine and visit you before Thanksgiving. I love the Door County wines from a winery that I think starts with a L, I hope my sister still has a bottle left that I took up to her so she can check the name for me.

Jen,

We sell a lot of the Door County wineries' wines at our store. I've heard they are fun to visit.

Think I might have already told our story about how we met, maybe like back on page 127??? :rolleyes1 :rotfl2: (long story coming!)

I was actually engaged at the time (it was never gonna happen and I had been "trying" to get out of the relationship for a long time but it was complicated. This guy brought my self-esteem to an all-time low, at the time I didn't feel like I deserved any better.

He used to watch sports ALL the time. Back then I loved sports too! But as the years passed, that's all he ever did. He came home, parked his butt on the couch and didn't move till bedtime. IF I managed to get him to go out, he would tape like 3 games then watch them when we got home. My life revolved around sporting events. And I don't mean just the big ones like Superbowl or World Series.

So near the end of 1995, I joined a BBB (kind of like a computer chat group but it was local, the internet was in it's infancy, hardly anyone chatting globally back then). I joined it to play trivia and just to chat with people as I was pretty lonely since by 1995 I learned to hate sports. I NEVER joined to meet people. But they did have meets, once a week. In March of 1996, at the very LAST minute on a total WHIM, I decided to go to one. Rob was the third person I met at the meet. He was wearing a Tigger hat, a Tigger shirt and a Disney Gang Jacket :cloud9:  There was a hypnotist at the bar that night and he was chosen for it so he was onstage for about an hour and the whole time I couldn't take my eyes off him. I even remember telling myself "Cass! Quit staring at him!!!" I had no idea why I couldn't take my eyes off him.

Kismet.

Everything that happened that night was SO NOT ME. I felt almost like someone was guiding me (thanks Big Guy! :thumbsup2 )

We started dating April 17th and were married exactly 30 months later :rolleyes1

Side note: When I left the ex, he was apparently devastated. SOB STORY right? I guess he was so devastated, he went to a party the night I left (to be consoled I was told) and he slept with someone (all the while still begging me to come back for weeks! HA!) later married said hussy and had a baby with her and is now divorced (for the 2nd time) and now calls his (second) ex-wife a total nutjob :rolleyes1

YEAH ROB!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok, you can now dust off your shoulders, I am off for the night :wave2:

All done catching up! We're going to Red Lobster tonight  We haven't been there in awhile, coconut shrimp sounds real good ;) good thing I rode the exercise bike for 45 min. today

What book are you reading?

I think I need to find a book club near me ...

I soooo wish you could come with me--we could have lots of fun drinking wine and discussing Roger Federer, I mean books. This month we read Loving Frank, a historical fictional piece about the love affair between Frank Lloyd Wright and Mamah Cheney. I think it is on the NY Times Bestseller List. It was really interesting especially to us in Wisconsin. Wright built Taliesen for this woman in Spring Green, Wisconsin. I found it particularly interesting because we have two Wright buildings here in Racine and I used to work in one of them and my mother worked in the other.
