TIP:

The beverage cooler in your stateroom is just that—a cooler, not a refrigerator. To boost its cooling capacity, ask your stateroom host for ice, place the ice in a Ziploc bag, and put it in your cooler. It really helps keep the beverages and snacks you place in the cooler cold. You will need to replace the ice daily, of course.

HERE'S A REALLY COOL TIP!
I DIDN'T KNOW YOU COULD DO THIS WITH ANY CARD:

Unlock Your Safe Easier T
The in-room safe in your stateroom locks by running a card with a magnetic strip through its reader. But to unlock it, you must use the same card. That means if you use one person’s Key to the World card, no one else can get in until that person is back in the room to unlock it. No fun. Instead of using Key to the World cards to lock and unlock the safe, pick another card with a magnetic strip that isn’t overly valuable, such as a AAA card, a warehouse store card, or a library card. Use this third-party card to lock the safe (it won’t write anything onto the card—don’t worry) then hide the card somewhere in your stateroom that all occupants know about. Perhaps in a pair of socks or in the pocket of a bag. Now anyone in your room can lock and unlock the safe at any time.

Carrie, you can get those shoe organizers at a dollar store or at Target, Walmart or Kmart.

I was thinking the dollar store. I was just checking ebay but I don't want to pay the shipping for them. They are a great idea for organizing the bathroom though.

OH, GET THIS!
HERE'S A REALLY DUMB TIP:

Find Healthy Snacks
Don’t forget that the ice cream station (Goofy’s Galley/Scoops) also has fruit, wrap sandwiches, and salad ... a healthier alternative to burgers, fries, and pizza.

YEAH RIGHT!
WE'RE ON VACATION!

TIP:

When you step into a corridor, do you get confused about which way is which? It’s easy to do! It’s easy to figure out which way is forward (toward the bow) and aft (toward the stern)—just look down at the carpet. There’s an anchor design in the corridor carpet. The blue part of the anchor points forward, and the red part of the anchor points back to the stern. If you find it hard to remember which color points where, remember Blue points to the Bow. In addition, the carpet outside each bank of elevators varies by deck level. Memorize the carpet pattern outside the elevators nearest to your stateroom and you won’t accidentally get off at the wrong stop again!

Woa, got to stop lurking and say this is a great help. This is our fourth Disney cruise and it takes most of the week to figure out direction. How is the weather there today?

TIP:

If you’re a water drinker, rest assured that the water from the tap in your stateroom is perfectly safe to drink. This is true of the taps throughout the restrooms on the ship. You don’t need to buy bottled water unless you prefer the taste.

Hi Lynn,
Very hot and muggy here! I'm inside with my air conditioning on.
Got to start some chores.

Today is the beginning of my 2 week vacation!

Lynn, have you ever been to the Roseland Water Park?
My son and I might do this one day during vacation.

Hey Rose, check out page 15 under Traveling Tips. Read the third idea and check out the name of the person who submitted it. She might be familiar!!:thumbsup2

Brighten Your Luggage T
When we disembarked the Magic last October, it was rumored that immigration arrived late. This created a bottleneck when trying to find our bags in the luggage claim area. Eventually, we found our bags in three different places. The only reason I found them more quickly than the guy next to us was because before I put them out in the hall the night before, I wrapped a brightly colored hair scrunchie around the handles of each one. With all that black luggage, our suitcases were easily spotted with those bright fluorescent colors!

:woohoo: :woohoo:
Nancy! How cool!
I do this with brightly colored table napkins that I cut into strips.

Did they pay you $$$$$$$$$ for this? Or just give you a free book?

Just got Sean's passport in the mail today (mine didn't come:sad2: )
But Monday would have been 12 weeks!

Not bad!

Glad I didn't have Nancy's family's troubles!

Mine should be here Monday. I got emails for mine and Sean's that they were on their way.

We have never been to Roseland but Seabreeze is fun. It is a combination of water rides and regular rides.

Hey enjoy the vacation.  What kind of work do you do?

Same weather here. Suppose to get severe thunder storms later tonight. We are going to the minor league ball game tonight.

Just posting a very quick note before I go to the wine shop for a ten hour shift! Whoa--that could be brutal on the liver. :)

Cass, here's one for you:

Well, Kira.....

Feed Toddlers With Ease K
Despite the fact that there is no “baby food” onboard, it’s really quite easy to feed your older baby and toddler. The boxes of cereal at breakfast (especially the Cheerios-type cereal) are excellent for snacks throughout the day—grab extras each morning at the breakfast buffets. The fruit plates available at virtually every meal are a real winner, too. Whole milk is available up at the beverage station on deck 9—you can fill up cups and bring them back to the room. Better yet, call room service and request several containers of milk along with some fruit for a snack. We found it easier to feed our toddler on the cruise than at home thanks to the easy availability of a variety of items.
