Perhaps we could take our discussion of HP offline?

I'd go crazy waiting to see the movies before reading the books... so far all of the movies have been rank compared with the books.

OK... maybe that's a bit harsh, but the first two movies were awful! PoA was well done and so was Goblet of Fire. And in a rare move for me, I actually think the movie version of OoTP was better than the book.

My biggest beef with the movies is that all end on a "happy" note or an "upbeat" moment which I find jarring. It's not a happy series...I don't need a movie manufactured happy moment to get me to come back to the next Potter film. I'm a fan, I'll be here... stop trying to manipulate me.

Thanks for letting me get that off my chest. I don't always want a happy ending... they're trite and over-rated.

Ok, I have a story for you...


One year when we went to Fla., we were at the hotel, out by the pool. Mike got up and said he had to go to the bathroom. (Sorry, #2, if you know what I mean ) (The maid hadn't been in to clean the room yet.)

So I waited until he got into the bathroom and followed. I knocked on the door and proceeded to use my key and walked in saying "Housekeeping!" He opened the bathroom door just a crack and gave a pannicked, "Could you come back later" I then, started cracking up... I almost peed my pants.

I won't say what he called me. Our kids thought it was halarious.

so thats the way its going to be honey. im sick and you choose to share embarrasing stories. 2 can play at that game.
dont be fooled by robins quiet side. shes not the miss innocent she pretends to be.

I know, I'm a dork. But when the books first got popular, I thought it was just a kid's book, then I saw the movie and actually enjoyed it! So then I just figured I would read the books after the movies. It's not something I normally do.

To all you ebayers out there....I came across this when I was packing...I got it at MGM when I got in the hot seat. It's a Who Wants to be a Millionaire - Play it! Lanyard and I put my 10 pins that I won on it.

Do you think it will sell if I list it???

I've only ever sold 1 thing on ebay so I don't know much about selling.

cass. if i were you id keep that. youll be sorry later if you sell it. that had to be such fun. i got close to getting in the seat once. i just randomly punched the buttons as fast as i could and i think i had the 4th fastest time. i didnt even read the questions. just started bushing buttons and got them all right!
the lady that got the hot seat went all the way and won a disney cruise.
just as well i didnt get up there anyway. i probably would have embarrased myself.

I just love to read so much that there's no way I could wait another 2-3 years to see the movie when the book is sharing the same home with me and I could find out how everything ends immediately. I'm greedy that way.

i know i was watching it one year we cruised. heres my thought. we get this basketball game together with your guys and sell the rights to dcl for pay per view. im sure the other kk will pay a pretty penny to see us play.

That's what Rob says...but he's a pack rat just like you!!! He still has his binders and books and stuff from Junior High School!!! I am the opposite of a pack rat...I'm trying to get rid of everything....I gotta be tricky with Rob, I have to wait till he's out of town or something then throw out all his crap...errr stuff

I wouldn't mind separate plates FULL of food (but then I would need to borrow some hands for 10 plates of food), but you should never sit with my dad though for supper.... you might get ... stressed.

Yes, Mike...your alter ego is in Rob's family....his dad will take everything on the table (and I mean EVERYTHING) and throw it onto his plate, mush it all up and eat it! It is GROSS!!!!!!! I'd rather watch Rob eat his cow while it's still moooooing

Last cruise, we were sitting in the WDT waiting for a show to start and this couple kept staring at us very strangely. Finally after about 10 minutes, they leaned over and asked "Do you guys have a website??"

The husband points to Rob and says "You like to eat a lot and (looks at me) you like those big chocolate chip cookies!!!!!!!!"

Rob was a little embarassed for being known for eating a lot I said "Well, you DO!!"

After our live trippie, he is now known for eating a lot of ice cream, so if anyone recognizes him this trip...they may buy him an ice cream

I am the opposite of a pack rat...I'm trying to get rid of everything....I gotta be tricky with Rob, I have to wait till he's out of town or something then throw out all his crap...errr stuff

we have stuff you wouldnt believe. still have parking lot stubs from all our trips to wdw. old park passes, maps etc. if its disney we cant get rid of it. it was quite the challenge when we downsized into a condo 3 years ago.
