Jamaica got hit pretty bad last night and Cozumel looks like it might catch some of the winds. GC looks like its escaped.

Robin - I only like the take off's and landings at the start...I hate the ones at the end as it means the holiday is over.:sad1:

Heather

Did I tell you about the time we were coming into to land at MCO and the Captain had to take emergency action when he was about to land? Apparrently, a turtle had made it's way onto the runway and the plane was in danger of landing on it and causing a dreadful accident. A rollercoaster ride.

Could this be a page to myself?

Rick has gone to work and I'm here catching up on all the chatter from last night.

I'm trying not to get caught by the 40 second rule, but....

......if you type too fast you know you will get zapped.

By the way Cass, we have BB on over here as well, at the moment. I don't watch it...but X Factor, not that's another story.

H

X factor is a bit like American Idol, but the comp is divided into four groups 14-24yrs boys and 14-24yrs girls, over 24yrs and groups. Only Started Saturday and I'm already hooked.

Heather

Now what else can I ramble on about..the weather? It's grey and raining..

but the weatherman says it looks like sunshine later. We're ever hopeful.

We might be in for some hot weather for our bank holiday weekend. Fingers crossed.

Heather

Made it a FO and a page all to myself.

My work is done - Laters

Thought I would say good morning everyone. I am off to Curves for a half hour of fun with all the retired ladies, After, they go for coffee and I head off to clean teeth for the day. Keep smiling:)

  Just the thought!

Just finished cleaning up the water in our basement:sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

It's been raining for 2 days and we now have standing water by the house that's leaking in .... so frustrated!

Need help Jen? I'll call Jeff and send him over!:thumbsup2

Was anyone else besides Robin and me having problems with the slow DIS last night? It made us crazy enough to log off. I was beginning to think that this RoadRunner thing isn't all it's cracked up to be. :confused3

A question for all the KK Meterologists out there. When does hurricane season usually begin? I always thought it was earlier in the summer than this, but since we are only in the D's it looks like the season just started.

Good morning everyone, I have about 50 pages to catch up on since Saturday morning, boy were you guys chatty. To Nancy & Cheryl, how 'bout those Packers??? Bet the stadium was roaring.....
Jen - I see at the top of this page, you have water in your house, hope things are okay.
Catch up w/everyone later.

Hi, Nancy. I am no meterologist, but I was born and raised in Louisiana, so I am, uh, experienced , when it comes to hurricanes. The season is June 1 through November 30. The worst months seem to be August and September, at least for hurricanes heading to the Gulf Coast. I am guessing that is so because the water is warmer in those months. (Katrina and Rita hit in the months of Aug and Sept.....) If we have a meterologist out there in KK land, please forgive me if I have totally botched up that explanation.

Have a great day, y'all.:hippie:

Thanks for the offer :)

We got the basement cleaned up last night...there was a little more water this morning, but not much. Our lot is pretty flat so when we get a ton of rain it doesn't run away from the house as well as it should. We're trying to build up around the house but it's hard when it keeps raining!

Oh, I don't think I ever answered from a couple days back...we're non-smokers here too.

Well, suppose I better go do some work...I'll pop in again later! pixiedust:

Glad things weren't too bad Jen. We had our share of basement flooding ourselves. Once we had over 5 feet of raw sewage in our basement when we lived in Milwaukee. Then we moved to the Falls and one month later (while we were in Florida) we got it again. That time it was water and only a few inches. Just enough for another insurance claim though.

Hopefully, you'll see the last of it.

Paige, thanks for the explanation.

Janice, it really was a good game. Wet, but good. I hope this was sign of a good season for the Pack.

Talk to you tonight everyone,
