Jessalynn,

If it's your first cruise and you haven't done much research then I HIGHLY suggest getting the Passporter! I bought one for Rob's family since they have never cruised, but frankly, I don't think they've even read it yet. :sad2: They are not the PLANNING type of people....if it wasn't for us, I think they would be that family that shows up to WDW/DCL doesn't know ANYTHING, figure they could just wing it then get all pi$$ed when they can't eat breakfast at Cinderella Castle by showing up at 9am :lmao:

I think I have an old copy of the Passporter too, but it's only the pages since I bought the deluxe version and kept the binder for the new one I ordered for the fam. Normally the binder would be ideal for me as I write a journal on my trips but this past trip and this one coming up, I will be doing the live trip report so I don't need to jot things down to remember them ;)

Cass,

Your family will be like the guy last fall who ripped on DCL because he felt out of place when he wore a t-shirt to dinner on formal night. Didn't read anything about the cruise before going.

Uh-oh, did I scare everyone away after you found out I really am a grumpy B?? :lmao:

And you all thought you were gonna meet up with a nice, polite Canadian??? :rotfl2:

That would be Rob, not me

:lmao:

Guess we know then who Kira gets her good personality from.

O.K., here's our first contest for the KKers on the cruise. Who can be the first one to set Cass off. :scared1: :lmao:

Here's a question for everyone:

What is the worst gift you ever received?:confused3

For my 40th birthday I received a windshield wiper delay device from Chuck's youngest brother and his wife. But, in their defense, they did get me another gift that same birthday. It was one, I repeat one, car mat.:rotfl2:

Well I know not everyone would agree with this - but it upset me when i got this gift.

Last month when I turned 40 years old - my Mother gave me her credit card and told me to go and buy myself something for a couple hundred dollars. I bought the red suit that I had in the picture with vanessa a few pages back.

It was nice but I was disappointed that my Mother could not be bothered to put any thought or work towards buying me somethign for my 40th birthday. its a big event (at least to me - its the reason we are going on teh cruise) and I thought my own Mother would have at least put some time to thinking about what would be an appropriate gift for the event. Instead she just threw the credit card across the table at me and said go and get something yourself. She didnt even offer to come with me to go shopping.

To add insult to injury - i am a busy person with the kids and stuff and it took me a month before I bought something - well she kept bugging me every few days "have you bought somethign yet, I need my credit card back".

I know some people think that it was the best gift someone could give as I got something that I really like - but I was disappointed. I know I will never do that to my kids.

I love this picture. Very Cute. Thanks for sharing.

O.K., most of us are less than 3 weeks away from online bookings (Chris is this Saturday).

What are your priority items to book (Palo, a certain excursion, etc)?

What Palo meals are you going for? Which day if brunch? Which night if dinner?

Our first priority is excursions........we want to make sure we get parasailing and bannana boat ride at castaway cay. Since they lowered the age to 8 our oldest DS:banana: can participate!!!

We want to do Palo too but can't decide on which night!!!

Who plans on re-booking another cruise at the first opportunity?

Who's waiting until near the end?

Who never wants to go on another Disney cruise?

Who's sick of me asking all these questions?

We are planning on rebooking.......whenever we get to it......we're gonna be on vacation ya know......sun, drink and food have priority!!!:lmao:

Does anyone have any favorite shows they HAVE to see on board?

Anyone planning on skipping any shows?

What theme nights will you be attending in the night clubs?

Anyone like going to Sessions (the jazz bar)?

Who's up for an Adult DIS Meet in one of the clubs (I know we already have the wine tasting/DIS meet)?

We love going to Rockin Bar D for most of the theme nights......60's, 70's, 80's.....are all alot of fun!!!

I thought of a couple more questions:

What is our favorite restaurant menu (AP, PC, or L when you are on the rotational menu)?

If this is your first time, which one are you looking forward to?

Which is your favorite Theme night (Master Chef, Pirate, Captain's Gala, or Till We Meet Again)?

Again, for first timers, which one are you looking forward to?

Our favorite restaurant for ambiance is Animators Palate the first night and our favorite for food is Lumieres. We are definitely huge fans of pirate night!!

Robin,

Your brother needs to understand that you need help, you can't keep going on like that.
Can your sister help to convince him with you?

And I love your granddaughter's photos, so cute!:cutie:

And LOVE those photos of Pirate night with Cass and Rob and Mike and Robin:thumbsup2

Hi all. Happy 4th of July!

I have missed so many pages on the boards.........I just can't keep up while we are in Louisiana. So if there is anything important please post it on the KK site. Thanks!

Hope you are all well. If I haven't said so before, we had an update with my mother in law and her recurrance of breast cancer. All of her tests after the mastectomy are negative. All she has to do now is see her oncologist and her treatment will be minimal. Thanks for all the well wishes.

Jeff, PM me about the bracelets. How much do I owe you?

Y'all have a great week........

Paige

Hi Paige!

Nice to hear from you.
And wonderful news on your mother-in-law:)
Hope all is well with your family and your move.
