so last week was my 14 year old neice's grade 8 Graduation. Vanessa moved in with us when she was 6 and she was developmentally, physically and academically well behind the other children due to improper care by her mother (My sister).

She still continues to get special help at school but she did very well and graduated up to Grade 9. In fact, she won the Award for Most Improved Student in Grade 8. We are all very proud of her.

I thought I would share a couple of pictures of her grad. Some are sideways -sorry - I cant figure out how to fix.

YIPPEE!!!

AT LAST a FULL retraction and apology letter is in my hand !!!!





I am soooo pleased! at last.... the meeting was really weird , the head teacher didnt want to come in, and was made to enter the room , as the senior educational welfare lady made her! She was almost in tears before anyone said anything! She mubbled an apology, but she then had to explain why she had written such bad things, she said she didnt know? I asked what we did that was aggressive and rude and wait for it, it was cos we called her a head mistress!!!! yep you read right, cos at the meeting we asked " As a head mistress, what are you going to do to provide a duty of care for Elouise in the playground? " she was shaking and so upset that she left the room. I was gob smacked, that was it "head mistress!" anyway even the council lady said not to worry, you have your apology and letter. The letter invites me to come back and help in the school, yere right !!!

Good news Elouise had an e mail form her new head teacher, and she is in Owls class with Mrs Cleary, from Sept. She goes to the school Tue and wed afternoon next week, to have a look around and settle in a bit.

I MUST clean the house now as its my party weekend this weekend!




Oh yes I have one pressie already, me and my mate Lyn.. well shes taking me to Monto Carlo for a week ! We fly from Bristol to Nice in France, we then fly by helicopter to our hotel ( which has a hei pad on the top of) in Monto Carlo. We go the 24th Sep..... what a great warm up for Florida !!

We knew you could get it done. Congrats Who knows maybe she took affense to the mistress comment for personal reasons. At least she did admit that you truely did nothing wrong.

WOO HOO - just ordered my tickets for the 645pm show of Harry Potter at the IMAX theatre for July 11th. We are so excited. We watched HP 1 and 2 last weekend and we are going to watch 3 and 4 this weekend.

Cant wait.

I'm with Robin....I LOVE THE PETER PAN RIDE! It has been one of my favorites since forever!!!!! And I do love the Haunted Mansion of course.......cause that is where my hubby asked me to marry him!!!

our ds proposed to his wife at wdw also.

my fav cd is wdw happiest celebration on earth. 2cd set. we love that song "remember when" by leeann rimes. we had just bought that cd at hotel the day of the cruise in 2005, and had it playing in the car when we came over the hill and could see the ship!!!! so everytime we hear that song we think of that moment

i have always tried to make her birthdays special because when she was a kid she got cheated. her bday is dec 20 and her mom would tell her to just go get one of your xmas presents from under the tree and open it for your bday

For my 40th birthday I received a windshield wiper delay device from Chuck's youngest brother and his wife. But, in their defense, they did get me another gift that same birthday. It was one, I repeat one, car mat.

I would have to say that it was from my mom 2 x-mas ago. She gave me a funnel cake making kit. When I opened the box all that was there was the device to make it with. I read the box and it was supposed to include the mix. I asked my mom about it and she said "oh I took it out and threw it away just incase it was old and there were bugs in it."
