Are you like the wife Karen as in you drink your wine out of a dustbin sized glass "am only having a glass love"....Yer right...

Got anything nice planned for today?
Hows the family? Do you still have Jess chained to her room away from the awful one.
I do actually have a glass that you can fit a whole bottle of wine in in one go- some friends bought it for me - they thought it was appropriate

We have a footie gala to go to and Rosie ain't at her best, she puts up with it like a lady but she's only a baby...![]()
You do realize Brenda and Nancy will be awfully jealous of me sharing a page with you so early on a Sunday morning![]()
Hi Heather! Welcome home!! Where do we get to read your trip report? Please give us a link. Hope you had a great time.![]()
I have never scrapbooked, but the kids are all making their autographbooks and shopping for that stuff made me realize that I want to do it. So I told DH as soon as we get back I am buying up the store in supplies and going hog wild. Could I actually start on the ship, hmmmm![]()
Oh Karen i can so see Hazel sat there with you each with dustbin in hand....![]()

As soon as I've started typing up my journal and uploaded it somewhere, I'll let you know.[/url].
Heather
Cass, Thank you so much on the input and advice. Italian is nothing new to us. So I think I might talk DH into brunch, how do we know when good time is to make a res. We are all about trying new foods, so this sounds like the way to go, and only for $10 each.
Sorry to hear you have wind Chris.. yes its cloudy and dull here, but we have no wind (which is rather strange cos I had a curry last night
)

Speaking of camping trips... Our dd, Cassie is on a camping trip at Red River Gorge (Daniel Boone Forest) in Kentucky. An organization is sponsoring an "Amazing Race" type contest where contestants have to find their way around and perform tasks. It started thursday.
Cassie is taking pics for it, thus running ahead of the group. Well, they have to camp out. (This kid has never been camping, so I thought... this is going to be halarious.I was right. She keeps calling me on her cell (when she can get a signal). It stormed the first night, they're tent is leaking, everything is wet and they're not allowed to sleep in their car. She's hanging in there though.
In addition, she said there was only an outhouse. She had to go... went in and it was pitch dark, so she ran to her car & got a flashlight. She said she was peeing with her shirt over her nose and holding a flashlight.![]()
I checked the weather on line this morning and they're suppose to get sun and 83 today. Maybe everything will dry out. Tomorrow is the last day.
"She said I never want to go camping again."

Hey Carrie...
just some food for thought --- oh the pun ---![]()
Anyway, Palo's dinner menu is certainly based on Northern Italian cuisine but it is not standard Italian fare like you would normally see here in the US and it there is actually a wide variety of items to choose from.
I would really encourage you and the hubby to go because it's a lovely romantic setting with no one under 18, the service is incredible, even for DCL, your food will not be prepared until you order it, so it is extra fresh and yummy, and...
if you don't go for dinner you will miss out on the chocolate souffle!!!![]()
If you've never been I think you should at least give it a try, just to form your own opinion.
Just my two cents.![]()
Brenda
I just got done reading your Oct. 2005 report. It was fantastic. I loved every minute of it. I am hooked and want more. I love your writing style.
So which would you recommend if we were to only go to Palo one time, brunch or dinner.
My idea of camping is staying a Cheap Hotels
Hate the idea of sleeping on the ground
'All this talk of Palos has got me thinking.![]()
We were not going to bother with it being as its our first cruise and we didnt want to miss out on any of the menus and other restaurants, but...
if you were a first timer, which evening would you choose? We dont want to miss any themed night like Pirates or miss any of the dining rooms. (We probably wont get it anyway being as we can only book 75 days in)
Would it be best to do it on a shore night like Gran Cayman so we get to eat later? - what time do we have to be back onboard anyway? We're on early dining usually.
Also, I DO NOT eat fish/seafood at all, and I cant do meat with bones attached

- is there loads of it, or is there other stuff I could eat?
Jeff gave me a link once but I cant find it anymore which gave the Palo menu. Is anyone kind enough to repost it for me![]()
Any thoughts are welcome...should we or shouldnt we? Which evening?
