Karen that's exactly what I did. While I was starting the laundry this morning a friend called and asked if I wanted to go with her to a few scrapbooking stores this morning so I said sure and I'll drive because I have a new car! So we went and ran some errands and went out to lunch. I absolutely love my new car!!!! :drive: :drive: :drive: The house is still a mess so Al and Rachel will know I didn't get done what I wanted to but they can clean it tonight while I'm at work :lmao: :lmao:

Good for you Cheryl:rotfl: ...the laundry will still be there tomorrow (unless the laundry fairy visits you in the middle of the night and does it for you)

Glad you had fun:drive:

Karen:wave2:

:cheer2: YAHOO NANCY!!! :cheer2: So very very glad to hear you got the all clear!!!!!party: You must be so happy and relieved! I think you need to add that to the things to be celebrated on the Konked Kooler site!

HELLO ALL!!!!!:yay:

The second half of the "Virginia Duo" has returned and oh how I have missed each and everyone of you!!!

Let me tell you my story........

Last Friday a.m. my DH called me at the office crying (yes, crying) in pain. He was trying to drive himself to the ER while in excrutiating pain and hanging his head out the window (if you know what I mean). Scared to death, I told him to pull over and call 911.....well, you know men, ......no way! So I told him to stay where he was and I would come for him......

I got him to the ER where they immediately put an I.V. in him and pumped him full of pain medication. They then took him for an abdominal ultrasound. Turns out he had gallstones, one of which he tried to pass. Unfortunately it had lodged itself in his bile duct causing inflammation and infection of his pancreas! Poor man. He was, of course admitted. Over the next several days he was given heavy doses of antibiotics and pain meds to try to improve the condition of his pancreas. After this was accomplished he was then taken to surgery where his gallbladder was removed! It was only just last night that I was able to bring him home. I don't know who was more relieved him, or me!!!

Anyway, to make a long story short.....I have been shuttling back and forth between home and hospital, trying to take care of our kids, myself and my husband, the best I could for the last several days........I'm glad we are finally on the road to recovery!!!!!! I'm exhausted!

Missy Wow poor Mike! Those gall bladder attacks can be nasty as he experienced. I have done ultrasounds on many patients through the ER that were in tremendous amounts of pain. Glad to hear he is home and on the road to recovery! pixiedust: I know what you mean about shuttling back and forth to the hospital and trying to take care of everything being exhausting. Al was in and out of the hospital a few times 2 years ago with some heart problems and it was very stressful. Try and relax and get some rest this weekend so you don't get sick now too

Just an update on Mike (Scott's bosses son) He is still in ICU in critical condition. He has been taken off of the ventilater. But family visits have been limited because everytime he is stimulated his blood pressure gets dangerously high. They have given him some new dr. and new meds. He is now on 4 blood pressure meds. He heart rate is also extremly high. He is responding to commands but not on a regular basis. His mom states that there is a new concern besides all of this and the pnemunia. His white blood cells are extremly high which means a new infection has taken over his body so they are trying to fight that. She also says that he has lost alot of weight (he was not that big to begin with). So this is concerning her alot.

Please just keep him and the family in your prayers. His family has actually asked if everyone that knows them would tell all of their friends about it so there could be more prayers going for them. Thank you for supporting someone you don't even know. It just shows how much this group of people really care. :grouphug:

Carrie we will continue to keep Mike and his family in our prayers!:grouphug:

Almost got a cocktail Nancy;) , too bad I added 2 more to the list:rotfl2:

I would normally have started packing by now for our Aug holiday....I have been buying things for it though each week... suntan lotion, toothbrushes etc etc....all the little things - I add one or two to my weekly shop and they soon add up - I have a big bag full of things ready so far. If it wasnt for the house move I would be more organised.

Not doing Palo so I guess I'll never earn that cocktail.:sad2:

There is no way I can catch up with all the ridiculous chatter you people manage in the course of a week. :rotfl2: Congrats on passing the 10,000 post mark! :yay:

Just wanted to let you know that Jay and I made it home safely a few hours ago and are already back in the grind...bills, laundry, yardwork.

We had a great trip and definitely have some funny stories to share...some day I will tell you all how I managed to walk into the men's room at Raglan Road before even having a single drop of alcohol. Now that takes talent! :lmao:

I hope everyone who needed some good wishes this week got them...here is a general "dust stuff" offering for all the cruisers on this thread: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Good morning everyone We have had a very busy week and I haven't had much of a chance to even peek in here so I see I have lots of catching up to do today in between trying to get caught up on the housework too. We have spent the past week shopping for a new car and I feel like every waking moment that I wasn't at work this week was spent either at a Toyota dealership or on the internet researching different Toyotas. Last night we came home with a brand new Toyota Highlander! I love it!

OK I'm off to start some laundry and cleaning but I'll try and keep popping in here to get caught up.

Have a good day everyone!

Cheryl

Isn't it great Cheryl??? We got a Highlander Hybrid shortly after Kira was born as we had outgrown our Corolla :rolleyes1 2 Dogs and a baby will do that :rotfl:

What a shame - it must be the mickey ears sign? Wonder if theres a way round it? Like having the ears slightly apart so its just 3 ovals? Maybe you wouldnt notice if we put writing in them. After all your hard work too:sad1:

We could always do one with a different logo if we cant use Mickey ears.

Jeff had the same idea but after reading their policy in depth, I am quite sure they won't allow it. :headache:

I answer yes to 1,3,5,6,7,9,11,12, and yes even some of 13!! (Freak!):lmao:

OMG Nancy, you made me look good! I normally start packing 1-2 months ahead and people make fun of me!!! ;) But now I can say, "oh yeah, you think I am a freak, wait till I tell you about Nancy!!" :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Jessalynn,

Great story about your name! My sis-in-law did the same thing for their daughter's middle name...May + Lynn = Maylynn :) Did you find the KK logo? It's on the KK site. But I really should make another one with a plain green mickey head. Just been a busy couple of days :upsidedow

WELCOME HOME B&J!!! WE MISSED YOU.:grouphug:

Anyone itching to get out on the water might find these interesting.
Website with some cameras on major cruise ships. Plenty of cameras in the ports too. It's pretty cool checking out the bridge cams and seeing the actual sites around the world in real-time from your home or office. :surfweb: Great for checkin instant weather status too.

I could be wrong might just be a geek thing though. :confused3

It's me again, the drive by poster from the Oct 27 thread. I saw this and thought y'all might be interested. If it's already been discussed, I'm sorry!
