Ooops, there was something else.

1. If you arrive at the terminal early, don't forget to collect your boarding number from the Greeters at the top of the escallators, before you check in (that's if they still board by number). We did in October 2005 and sat about waiting to board and all these people were just walking up to the Mickey ears and boarding!!!

Had to go back to the greeters and explain that we didn't get a number.

2. Make sure that you have completed all the preboarding forms before you arrive at the terminal.

3. Us non-US residents have a check-in all to ourselves. Make sure that you aren't in the wrong queue. The line isn't as long.

Did they convert Scoops by the last time you sailed? I think the first time I got to enjoy the new set up was in Jan '06. I think they redid it when the Magic was in dry dock. Did you sail before or after that in '05?

We sailed in October 2004 (Western) and I think Scoops was still there but we didn't try it.

Sailed October 2005 (Eastern) right after dry dock and I think it's Goofy's Galley, now, isn't it? It actually looked like they had some good stuff there but we didn't try that either.

Jay and I are in a rut - Cove Cafe...spa...pool...room service...cove cafe...dinner....:lmao:

Heather,

Hope you feel better soon. Isn't your cruise coming up soon? Gotta get better before then. :thumbsup2

I added some comments to you posts.

Heather's Tips:

1. Highlighter we used this for the first time this last cruise and it helped out a lot in not forgeting something you wanted to do. To add to this:
1a. Ask your room steward for 2 Navigators every night. One for a souvineer and one to mark up. The first may also be needed to see what you wrote over. Never done that.
:rolleyes1

3. Suitcases will fit under your bed, just lift the mattress We didn't do this the first time and had them shoved in the closet. Under the bed works great. Remember to put the smaller ones inside the larger ones.

8. Chicken Tenders on deck 9 I second this one.

10. Exercise when you can....4 times round deck 4 is a mile and use the stairs...it's quicker than the elevators. When walking on Deck 4, you also get to see some of the working areas of the ship.

We did in October 2005 and sat about waiting to board and all these people were just walking up to the Mickey ears and boarding!!! If you want to be nice to some of the later arriving KK's, have your spouse come in a little after you and get an additional #2. You can then pass it on if you wish.

3. Us non-US residents have a check-in all to ourselves. Make sure that you aren't in the wrong queue. The line isn't as long.  Same thing for returning cruisers - if this is your second cruise, we have our own special line.

You're right, it is Goofy's Galley.

If you like fresh fruit and Panini's or Wraps, you will like this place. I love the Turkey Panini. I usually go here instead of the buffet for my embarkment lunch (well, the last two times at least - like I sail every month - just every 9 months. :rotfl: ).

I'll post some of our tips later when Suz is back.

For now, I'm going outside to enjoy a beautiful day here in WI. I'm going to play some Baseball with DS. He starts on Monday. Don't want him to look too bad.

Nancy, sorry you had to work today. Hopefully you'll be done early and can enjoy the day. We're cooking pork chops on the grill tonight.

BTW, watched Deja Vu last night. Good movie. Also, finally finished POTC2 this morning. It was my second time, but I had to keep stopping everytime DS came in the room. We won't let him watch it. He saw #1, but #2 is a little too intense we feel for him.

Have a great day everyone. I'm sure I'll be catching up over lunch. May not post until tonight though.

Brenda - what was the name of the cocktail/berry liquer you mentioned a few threads ago?

Heather

I have a question ....a silly one:rolleyes: ...

I have read that a lot of people who play dis tag put pirate items in their bags for piate night...what happens if you dont get to tag people before pirate night:confused3 ...I told you it was a silly question.

Is pirate night on night 4? Just thinking if the kids had piratey things it would be nice for them to have them either before or on pirate night:confused3

I understand the rules (finally) but can someone explain this? Also, what happens if you dont get a tag and you're running out of time to post your other goodie bags.? Can you just post them anyway for the doors you still have to tag? I dont want to go home with bags left over or be running round the ship on the last night looking for 10+ doors:eek: I'll be too busy picking out my 1000 photos from shutters:rotfl:

Hope you feel better soon, Heather!

Those are great tips for Karen to add to the KK database, by the way! ;)

Hint taken:thumbsup2 :lmao: - I'll get to it in the next day or so..just stopped packing boxes for the day....

Question - how many books can you sueeze into a box before it gets too heavy to lift...answer - not many:sad2:

Question - where am I storing all these boxes we've packed today ...answer - god knows, havent got that far yet:confused3 :rotfl:

Oh by the way,...for those who have been lovely enough to send bucket loads of dust stuff so far - my sis gets the blood test results either wed or thurs this week, so chuck a bit her way if you have a sapre wand full and please put her in your prayers. Thank you:grouphug:

Bit of a difficult one to answer. I would suggest don't put pirate items in the tag bag, or deliver all you tag gifts before pirate night, or don't hold on to the tags...let's get 'um round everyone before pirate night.

If you have any left over towards the end of the week, then just deliver them anyway. 10 doors are not to bad...in September last year I had 70+ to deliver.

Nooooooooooooo...if ours gets that big I'm not playing:scared1: - holy cow - how on earth did you carry all the goodies with you? You'd need a suitcase just for tag bags:scared1: That is just toooo scary to even think about.:scared1:

Pirate night should be on Night 5 - Cozumel. You'd think it would be Night 4 since we get on board early and it is a short trip to Cozumel.

There is one set of Navigators out on the web (from Feb) that had Pirate night after GC because they stayed long on Cozumel that trip. Otherwise, they always have it after Coz.

BTW, Karen, here is some dust stuff for your sister. pixiedust:

Karen, I see you past 900 posts. Congrats.

Brenda is 10 short from 900 and Chris 7 short of 600.

We are just over 1,000 from the next post that isn't moving much. The other active one (May repo) is still between us, but with the flurry of posts we had in the last day or so, we have closed that gap to around 500 (it had been 700).

Just a thought:idea: .... but maybe people who want dinner tablemates could post which sitting they are on and who they are - ie 2 adults with a 6 year old and see if anyone wants to join them:confused3

Maybe theres a few dissers who dont like to ask but would like to pal up?:confused3

Just a thought cos I remember reading a while back someone who said they had no tablemates:sad1: . Maybe this could be a way of buddying up different families. Jeff and family are our buddies:goodvibes :goodvibes

Not trying to play matchmaker but it might help some people.:goodvibes

Brenda,

I heard on the radio one of the Cardinals' pitchers was killed in a car accident last night or this morning. Was he one of your starters? I see they cancelled the game today but are still coming to Milwaukee for the series.
