BTW..if anyone feels like tossing in a few prayers, Chuck's Aunt Carol is doing badly and will probably pass away this weekend. Please pray that she doesn't suffer any more and that God will take her soon. :guilty:

Nancy,

Sorry to hear about Chuck's Aunt. Hopefully everything goes peacefully. It's hard even though you have time to prepare. :grouphug:

Jeff

Anyone else seeing something wrong with this picture? :confused3

Healthy because it's veggies and you don't use butter?! The deep frying gonna kill you.

Based on your analysis I can eat McD fries everyday because it is a potato and it is deep fried without butter. :scared1: :rotfl:

Jeff - you just put the veggies in a pan and let them brown - theres no oil /butter involved at all

I do like Jeff's thought though - I love McD fries!

There's always articles in the parenting magazines about nutrition for children. How some children will only have french fries as a veggie option. HELLO! French fries are not a veggie option at all! My kids love fries, but they like broccoli and lima beans too! I'm so proud of them.

Bubble and Squeak... that's what my intestinal tract does after every meal!! :lmao: :lmao:

OK, did that comment just fall into the "too much information" category? ;)

DS is that way too. He loves broccoli, green beans, peas, corn and a lot of other veggies. He is big into fruit as well. When it comes to potatoes, he'd choose a baked potato over fries any day. Weird kid, but I'm not faulting him for that.

We started him early with not giving him junk. We started him on water right away instead of juice, so now he won't even touch the sugary juices out there. You start them early and they grow into them.

Same thing with caps and glasses. We put a cap on him all the time when he was a baby along with sunglasses when it was sunny. Now, he always puts a cap on when he goes out and since he has been wearing glasses since just before 3, he's doesn't have a problem with them on.

I think you just got the title to your next food/trip report. :lmao:

Brenda and Jay's Bubble and Squeak.

Or better yet, Bubbling Brenda and Squeky Jay.

Same here Jeff. They'll drink juices, but I'll only offer them the 100% juice drinks. (Very different from 100% vitamin C. I hate that gimmick!) And we started them early on those fruits and veggies. Early is the key, that's for sure.

My girls love to wear hats. I'll roll the windows down in the car, and their hair just blows all over the place! To solve that, they have "car hats." They just plop those hats on their heads, and voila, no more wild blowing hair!

Mine ain't out of school until next Thursday (my wallet is in hiding already:sad1: ) Miss Lush have fun,Nancy love how nice of you to suggest to a Marine his wife and i maybe getting it on,ta love thanks a bunch if i can ever help you in any way feel free to ask away:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

There's coffee all over me, too!!

If y'all only knew Rob....the most unassuming and friendly person you will ever meet! Although I did hear him tell his sister once that he could take a man out at 500 yards if she needed him (she was dating a loser at the time....). :lmao: :lmao:

In fact, AFEG, he asked me just last night if you had decided on a particular piece of memorabilia for him to get for you. I told him I would not forget and I would ask you when the cruise gets closer.

The only fighting Rob will do is over a karaoke microphone!...Well, there's that patriotic "I love my country thing", but don't we all have that?:rotfl:

After fighting with Quantico housing all morning, y'all have made my day!!:rotfl:

Nancy, Chuck's aunt and the rest of y'all are in my prayers.:grouphug:

In fact, I just want to thank everyone again for all the positive thoughts y'all have sent my way concerning my dad. He is doing great! He's driving again and running errands with my mom. He will return to work on Easter Monday, so it looks like he is pretty much back to normal...in fact better than normal, for him!:goodvibes

Hey, aren't those candy eggs made from Whoppers awesome? I am having some now. They are going great with my caffiene high!

Brenda--just want to say again that I am loving your trippies. I will be sad to see this latest one end. Of course you will right one after your May trip, right?:surfweb:

Great news!! :goodvibes

As for Rob being such a mild marine...I'm somewhat disappointed because I was hoping to hear tales of a week-long cat and mouse hunt all over the Magic as your hubby tried to nab the English gent that his wife had taken up with on the sly. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Guess you guys are back to playing elevator tag. ;)

Thanks Paige. :flower3:

The pre-trip (Bring us a Shrubbery) will turn into my next trippie once we're back home in June. And won't that be fun as I try to write that, plan a Potter Party, and prepare for the October trip!

I'm nuts - that's the only word for it. :upsidedow

Why did I work my abs today? I could have just sat here and read all of this and gotten the same ab workout! I am busting a gut laughing.:lmao: :lmao:

I need to find pics of Rob..maybe a couple "Marine" ones and then maybe a funny one......

Even better, once Rob "caught" AFEG, he could restrain him in Diversions and force him to listen to hours of endless Karioke...without alcohol!!!!! :scared1:

DANG IT! My teenager wants the computer, so I am relenting since I have TONS of laundry.

I'll be back tonight...............

Ahhh...got it.

BTW, what the heck is brown ketchup? Did you mean brown mustard?

Jeff - its the consistency of ketchup, but dark brown in colour - it tastes like spicy ketchup - Its called HP sauce over here. Maybe a little like A1 steak sauce but a bit different:confused3 - ok, I just read what I typed and it makes no sense:lmao:

I agree entirely re the kid thing though - my ds will not touch fizzy drinks and will choose either apple juice, water or milk. We arent big fruit eaters but he'll happily eat veggies - tonight he had peas, brocolli, cauliflower and carrots with his chicken and pasta. If you start them when they are young it becomes natural to them. He does like a burger but usually leaves most of the fries (or Mommy and Daddy help him finish them;) )

Ellis came home tonight with a lovely easter hat he made at church group. If I get chance I'll post a photo tomorrow:goodvibes

Have a great evening everyone:goodvibes
