Now I understand what Jay and I have been missing out on all these years.

We just embarrass each other. :lmao:

DITTO!!! She must do all her shopping at the Disney Store.:mickeyjum

Funny you should say that! :rolleyes1 Actually, there's only one Disney Store left here in Calgary and it's 35 minutes away and believe it or not, I have not been there in YEARS! I think I am afraid to go in case I spend ALL of our money :lmao: I get most of her clothes at Zellers, they have lots of Disney clothes at a very reasonable price!

The pink Minnie outfit was a gift from her Uncle Ken, who went to WDW in January. I also have another Minnie outfit from her Uncle John & Auntie Heather who also went to WDW in January but it's too big. And a blue onesie from our friends who went to WDW last May before we knew that we were going to have a girl, that one should fit soon!

We got a lot of baby clothes as gifts, so she has a more extensive wardrobe than me! Actually it works out great cus my sister is going to have a baby girl in June so she will get all Kira's clothes (a lot of them are barely used!)

I like the oufit that she's wearing right now, her Daddy bought it for her at Zellers. I'll post a pic when I download them!

I think I need to save lots of $$$$ for October. I am sure that when I walk in the World of DIsney Store, I won't have much self control with buying kids clothes :lmao:

Cass--can I bite your baby's feet? Just kidding. She's is a precious little thing! Can't wait to see her in her Easter dress--hint hint.:)

I nibble on her all the time :lmao: Actually I bought a pretty little dress for her a few weeks ago and I also bought some Easter stuff and will be doing Easter pics this week-end

Cass,

totally unrelated topic, but have you ever been to Vancouver? I'm ignorant and I have no idea how close Calgary is to Vancouver.

Jay and I are seriously considering going up there for a week during the 2010 Winter Olympics and you're the only Canadian I "know" to ask about the city and BC.

What's it like? Will there be other things we can find to occupy ourselves with aside from sporting events? Is it easy to get around? Is it an expensive city?

I'll stop now - thanks!! :goodvibes

She truly is georgous :cutie: - and thats some nice wardrobe she has - didnt see the same outfit twice!

Like I was saying a lot of her clothes were given as gifts, in fact the outfit from week 12 is all the way from Manchester, England!!! My brother-in-law's mum bought that for her. :flower3:

Brenda,
Vancouver is about 12 hours away by car from Calgary (as long as the mountain passes are all open!) and about a 1 hr 10 minute plane ride. Vancouver is a gorgeous city, very hip and trendy and VERY expensive! It's a big city, up there with Toronto or Montreal (if you have ever been there, not sure?).

It gets a lot of rain, rarely any snow and is beautiful as it's on the coast so you get a beautiful view of the water and the mountains!

A ferry away from Vancouver is Vancouver Island, home to the beautiful city of Victoria, where I would love to retire to! Actually I want to be there now but we can't afford it.

Canada has gst of 6% (goods and services tax) but B.C. also has sales tax of 8% so almost everything you buy, you have to tack on 14% !!! It's gorgeous but expensive!!

Hope that helps!

Thanks so much, Cass - it's a great start. We assumed after the way prices skyrocketed in Atlanta back in 1996 for the summer games that even if Vancouver was typically affordable it wouldn't be when we wanted to go! ;)

Brenda,

Sorry forgot to answer this one. Yes, there's tons of stuff to do in Vancouver!!! Here's a link to a website that will help you out!

http://www.tourismvancouver.com/visitors/

We ALMOST moved there about 7 years ago. After Rob graduated from Devry, there was a shortage of jobs in his industry here so he applied to places all over Canada and the USA and got an interview with a company from Vancouver. We drove to Vancouver, he got the job (it was decent but not enough $$$ but he was desperate at the time ) and we looked for a place to live. He told them he would take the job and he packed up and left for Vancouver, we had decided that he would spend 6 months there on his own to see if things worked out. He got a little past Banff (about 1.5 hours away) and he turned around. When he got back home he said he didn't want to spend six months without me

A night time bump, while I watch TV!

Ive made a cool box up for tomorrow we are off to a local farm that has a visitors centre. You can feed lambs, and climb in a massive haystack ! ( well the kids do, not me, i might get stuck ! ) There is an easter egg hunt with a Easter Bunny to "catch" in the maze!

I will take our camera and try and share a few crazy photos!

I need to officially tell you all something

From next Friday Im on a diet !
not a major announcement i know, but for me this is quite a big thing. I have been in denial for a long time now, and I have suddenly got it in my head I need to loose weight before my birthday. One of my friends is about the same size as me, and we are going to do this together. We have decided to go every Friday and weigh in a Tescos. We are going to "pay" each other £5. Once we have lost a stone (14lb) we will get out money back to "treat" ourselves. I KNOW what to eat and not eat! I just need to do it and stick with it.

PLEASE keep asking me if Im sticking to it, i need people to be quite brutal with me... reminding me about my 40th B day pictures etc.

Wow, you lots know even more than Wayne does !!! Thats scarey....
I guess its easier to type than say out aloud ! :confused3

acronyms! got to love them

what does MNSSHP stand for?

I am still working my way through all the various pages for this board - I use boring conference calls at work as my key time to review the pages (LOL) - I am up to page 24 (August 20th)

Thanks for the help!

Any time!

It's really a fun Halloween party - if you've never had the chance to take your kids you should really try, just once.

People dress up (even dorks like me and my hubby) and trick or treat around the MK. It's a hoot! :goodvibes

Linda, good luck! You'll do great!!

I'll tell you what... I'll push you if you push me. I'm so lazy and now I've only got 7 weeks to get into decent shape for our May trip. If I don't start working out I won't fit into any of my spiffy clothes that I didn't wear last October and Jason will divorce me. ;)
