A ferry away from Vancouver is Vancouver Island, home to the beautiful city of Victoria, where I would love to retire to! Actually I want to be there now but we can't afford it.

Canada has gst of 6% (goods and services tax) but B.C. also has sales tax of 8% so almost everything you buy, you have to tack on 14% !!! It's gorgeous but expensive!!

Cass - we visit Victoria BC on our Alaska cruise and I'm looking forward to it. From what I gather, it's very much a Little Britain. 14% tax - Ouch! Have to watch what I buy.

Its really sunny here today

Lindy - no problem hun - we'll tell you off everyday if you like

My will to exercise is strong...but my will to eat is stronger . I think we all know what we SHOULD be doing ....its just doing it thats the problem!

Our first hol is in Aug - Port Aventura - I was hoping to lose a lot by then so I could put a bit back on on holiday and still have time to lose it again by the cruise. I need to try harder - we'll try together.
ps- have fun on the farm


Cass - you are one lucky girl - my hubby has NEVER said anything as beautiful to me in 19 years - hire him out on the cruise to teach our men a thing or two.

Brenda - Vancouver, Victoria, Banff etc are all great places. We did a tour a few years ago. I'd post piccies but they are all pre digital camera and I dont have my scanner linked up anymore. There is so much to see and do there. Glacier trips, sea planes, cable car up the mountains etc. We went in May and the weather was lovely.

We saw mousse and bears too!

I'm going to dig out my album just to relive the holiday

Thanks Cass! That's one I'll have to try and print out. I'd like to blow it up (well, not literally) and frame it. I've got a nice corner in my office at work to hang it. Right next to the picture I bought of DCL. I figure, why not put a little "happy place" into my "not so happy place"?

So, any big Easter plans? Not us this year, except the Easter Egg Hunt. The boys will all be out of town starting tonight until Sunday. Just Kristin and I this weekend. Good thing we have our big blond b**b to protect us. (No Jeff!!, Not what you're thinking and NO, you can't come over)! Our BBB is the dog!!

Shopping with my daughter allllllllllll......weeeeeeeekend!!

OK...off to the exercise bike and then to my "not so happy place". Talk to you all later I'm sure because I have no bosses for the next week!!
