**October 2016 Check-in!**

Yay! My single needed date for BWPPI came in (we had to change our dates at one point and they were booked for one day). We will be at the BWPPI rather than the DI&S. Unless the DLH gets some good AP rates... HA! :-)

Hey all, if you didnt already know...MHP dates and details were released yesterday! Sherry updated all the info...so happy to see fireworks will still be happening, and that we can wear costumes!

We are down to 90!!!! Feels pretty good since I planned this a year ago. Bring on the Halloween tickets!

My wife and I will be traveling over to Anaheim to stay at the Staybridge Suites from the UK on October 10th through till October 23rd. Couldn't quite manage a full 2 weeks but we'll certainly be visiting DL and DCA for at least part of that time :) Feel free to include us in the first post on this thread :)

We (myself, daughter, son in law and granddaughter) will be there 10/22-10/29 staying at the Grand California. My granddaughter will turn 3 while we are there. I think we have been planning the trip since the first sonogram
We are planning on Minnie's breakfast for her birthday, the 10/24/16 Halloween party and probably a lunch at Ariel's Grotto's for the Princess factor. No other firm plans so far.

81 for us! We need to start buying our stuff... all we have so far is our flight and hotels paid for. We'll be in Anaheim for 5 days and San Diego for 2 days. Now that party dates are out we plan on buying 1 park a day tickets and going to Disneyland Tuesday, party on Wednesday and California Adventure on Thursday since we drive to San Diego bright and early Friday morning. I wish we could be in the parks longer but with a two year old in tow, I've never been in the parks with a child so our expectations are low as far as accomplishing everything. I just want to be there with our son :cloud9:

On my way in 91 days--woo hoo. First time back in a year. I am not sure where I am going to stay: Paradise Pier; Anaheim Majestic Garden Inn, maybe the Annabella--got reservations at two of them and a flight home. 4 day park hopper! I am hoping I get to see PTN again and I hope my daughter gets to join me! sooooo excited!

DisFan84, sharing Disneyland with your child for the first time is the best magic there is! You will have a great time. Just watching his face as he sees the park for the first time will do things to your heart you never could imagine.

Best advice I can give you (my DD- now 17 years! - was 2 for her forest trip): the baby rooms! They are havens, quiet, air conditioned, a nice place to take a few minutes out of the crowd.

Oh! And water. Obviously, there's the feed them well, sleep them well statement, but remember to keep the water up. I swear that kids must lose an extra couple of letres of water when at Disneyland because their mouths are always open! Lol

Did the MHP dates affect anyone's original itinerary? It occurs on the day before, and the day after my birthday. And of course, they're the most expensive dates :( . I'm going to have work a few changes in... yuck.

Agreed. I don't have any kids but have a huge family with nieces/nephews 0-10 age range. The only reason I even go is to help capture their experience on camera for family.

BTW I live 10 minutes from DLR and was born in Anaheim.. For me at my age, the hotels are a fun way to feel as though I'm a tourist in the area.. If anybody has any curiosities or bad experiences with amenities/service/staff these things are of interest to me. Eventually I'd love to check out every motel, hotel, RV park, whatever people do to have fun in their own way. I can enjoy being a haggardly road-warrior or enjoying a sip of wine at a nice hotel. I have a lot of pride in my hometown and enjoy seeing people from out-of-town have fun in their own ways. I hate it when people did not have fun, regardless of where they were.

BTW felice I've been there like twice this week just bugging the staff about details for my upcoming birthday. I'm pushing them to the MAX to help me out on my event. Are you getting the basic studio suite or the 1 BR standard suite? These guys will feed you breakfast, and even dinner-appetizers & drinks for free. Don't forget to grab some cleaning supplies. The floor is likely to get dirty while you're there and they won't clean for you during the week.

I took both my kids at the young age of 2 and they did better then we expected! No melt downs and pamper changes are easily done in the stroller. My daughter was in love with the characters which was something we never expected our shy 2 year old to embrace so that alone was magical and so fun watching her fill up her signature book. You guys are going to have so much fun!

two halloween parties or just one? I am having a hard time deciding, is it worth it?

I had wanted to do 2. One for the halloween activities, and one for taking advantage of short ride lines while still enjoying atmosphere. After seeing our ticket prices ($89), I cant justify paying extra for the short wait times. I also had considered it to possibly enjoy 2 castle shows, but with the info of 'fantasy in the sky' going on non-party nights...thats just more of reason for us not to spend an extra 90 a person! I have a goal of riding RSR at nighttime, so the day that the party happens that we aren't going to...ill try to grab fastpasses and plan for an evening in DCA...with everyone else lol

We're coming from North Dakota for a wedding in San Diego...so we're absolutely cramming in as much time as possible! We're trying out the SoCal Citypass, so we don't get to do the Halloween Party, but still going to be at DLR the night of the 17th-19th :) Now that dates are released, thinking seeing WOC at DCA Monday night, then DL all day Tuesday, then DCA again Wednesday! Staying at the Travelodge north of the parks...super duper excited!
