October 2015 PTR: a “Halloweenie” and her Fearless Companion conquer their first HHN!

Gina....did you buy your MNSSHP tickets online from the WDW site? If so do they actually ship you tickets or do you just get an electronic ticket? I've never bought tickets from them...always either had a package or used my Airmiles.

I've got to decide if I'm using my non expire tickets for the 1 day that I need park admission(not sure that I want to link those to anyone's MDE acct right now) or if I'm buying single tickets for that day. I do have to buy the MVMCP tickets so I want to just do, whatever I do, in one transaction. All this stuff needs to be sorted out so that I can book FP+...booking date is 15 days away. :headache:

Sorry if I'm highjacking, but Dancin, when I bought my MNSSHP ticket online, it went on my account, then I received a hard ticket in the mail about a week or so later. I'll have it with me just in case, but last year, I just used my band, and no issue, so I'll be onsite again, so will use my band, but might carry the hard card in pocket just in case. Liked it so much last year, doing it again this year. I love the park decorated, and I like parades and really enjoyed the fireworks. Oh, and some things like popcorn holloween mickey container, party pins and t shirts came home after the party too. So, this year, maybe party pins and t shirt. No popcorn container unless I see a new one. He's so cute though, he's coming out soon to hold candy on our front table.

Yes, we purchased online from Disney :thumbsup2. We received emailed vouchers (with bar codes) to print and present at the gates.

I wish we had received the hard plastic tickets. They're far cuter (and make nice additions to my photobooks after our vacation is over). Maybe we got the emailed vouchers because of the Canadian shipping address?

hmmm, maybe you northern guys don't get the same treatment? Sorry, about that. Too expensive for the mouse? I wonder if you turned in your voucher, if they'd give you the hard card. They are cute, though I have to get mine out from last year, as this new one looks the same. Fun piece for the scrap book.

Oh and Dancin, just buy everything at the same time. Though with all the issues people have been having with the disney site, I hope you purchase goes smoothly. I'm almost afraid to check right now. :-)

Yep, that's what I'm thinking too ::yes::.

I heard that we'll need to exchange our voucher for a hard ticket when we arrive, so we can use it at the tapstiles for our FP+ selections. I have no idea if that's accurate or not, but I'm expecting that might be the case. Surely they won't have us tapping the bar code from a floppy piece of 8 x 11" paper from 4 to 7 pm?

I hope not. My card has a magnetic strip and bar code on it. It has Minnie on it, so I am hoping you get that or some other fun character. Oh, and my band is pink, so now I have 2 pink. I should have used my old one, but I think we packed away ours from last year, and I haven't had the urge to look for it. Hence, new pink one.

No packing for me yet either. I will look at the temps right before we leave. And yep, not packing away the shorts or t shirts yet. Though I am a wimp, and will at least have one or two light weight pants and a jacket or two. I was just going over all my ressies, and making sure all in order. Can't believe less than 3 weeks now. Wahoo indeed.

We have the paper e tickets too (UK) I'd not thought about fp logisitics. Will ask when we get there. Booked fp for BTMR and space and to meet mickey as no other ride 3rd option fit the 4-7pm slot.

Thanks friends!

Gina, you will have to go to guest relations to get a hard ticket. You have to have the card for the tapstyles.... They need the chip.

As long as I have numbers to link on MDE I'm good. If only I could figure out the other ticket dilemma. Now someone had put another idea in my head. It's getting pretty crowded in there.

I think you have some great picks for FP+ :thumbsup2 . Do you have an ADR to squeeze in there too, or are you just going to do counter service that night?

Thanks friends!

I wonder if Guest Services at DTD would be able to switch my paper tickets for hard tickets? I would prefer not to have to do that at the party.....I have a Mickey Pants Sundae to eat, ya know  .

So....what new idea is currently swirling around in that brain of yours? Spill it, lady: we're all wondering, so I'll be the one bold enough to ask ::yes:: .

DTD should be able to do that. I have done most Of my ticket upgrades etc with them.

Swirling through the cobwebs of my mind. Well, I posted on the strategy board and someone mentioned all the Christmas stuff at Epcot. It had not occurred to me that the countries would be pretty awesome to see all decked out. So now I'm trying to figure a way to squeeze that in but in the process I thought of a 2 day ticket that I have that is not attached to anyone. We could use that one and then buy another one which would be the same cost as 2 singles.

I wish I'd get sent a ticket for the events, have to go to will call. At least we can do it any time during the trip. Now wondering if we could pick them up @ DTD location near Earl of Sandwich, hmmm.

Ah heck woman, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.....when do you think you'll get back during the holiday season again? I think your plan to visit Epcot for all the holiday decor in each country sounds perfect. Order those tickets and don't look back.

We're going to give it a whirl, I think. We have time to stop by there on our arrival day.....I can let you know how we make out if you'd like :) . Will you still be checking in on the boards while you're jetting from place to place?

Seems yesterday I was off by a day......I must have been thinking of our arrival in Orlando versus when we actually leave to start our vacation.

We're one day closer than I thought! :cool1:

I just finished the last few pages and really enjoyed your updates so far! It sounds like the two of you are going to have an excellent, jam-packed fun trip!

Thanks Krista :goodvibes .

Our itinerary is most definitely a little busier than we normally allow.....so now we're just hoping us old poops can handle all the stuff we have planned!! We may need a vacation-after-the-vacation to recouperate :rolleyes1 .

Just crossing our fingers (toes, legs, eyes) that Mother Nature doesn't rain on our parade. We're thinking sunny thoughts :flower1: .

Hi Gina! I can't believe you're almost to the 2-week mark. Tempus fugit!

I made tentative reservations at Harbor Lake for the weekend after American Thanksgiving. (They had a Marriott Rewards deal.) The kids say they want to do Escape Game and Wonderworks/Outta Control Dinner Show and hang out at the resort. I'll have to start looking for coupons! I definitely will consider Sea World too. I guess I'll have to see what the Blue Friday specials are, although I arrive that very same day! I would also love to see the Osborne lights--I've never seen them and this is the last year. I'm not sure I want to pay three one-day admissions to DHS just for that though...

I guess I have some planning to do!

It has been my personal mission in life to never use a hashtag....is it even legal to spell out hashtag or do you have to say it like this # ?
Since you have corrupted me YET again lets just throw one out there and see how it feels.

#EPICWEEKEND

Hmm, not bad.

One of the things I like about going this time of year...any bad weather that may come has been quick and to the point. Sometimes it is nice, on a really hot day, to have a quick shower to cool things off a bit :)
