***October 2012 Thread*** MNSSHP + Food & Wine - Does It Get Any Better?

So, it looks like HDDR is going to be closed starting in Oct. which I am bummed about. I am keeping it in Plan A, but have Plan B as a back up. Also, what are your thoughts on CRT being closed? I've been reading my Unofficial guide and it talks about CRT closing for refurb when Be My Guest opens. I know at this point, we still don't know when that is opening. I'm going a little crazy not being able to hammer out our ADR's. I'm worried that we may be able to make a ressie for CRT 180 days out but will find out later that it will be closed during that period. Does anybody have any speculation on this or maybe more info than I have? I'm thinking about double booking ADR's just in case that happens. I can't wait for my ADR's to be booked and then I think I'll be able to breathe a little bit.

Hadn't heard anything about CRT closing for refurb. DD would be distraught if we weren't able to go. We haven't taken her to CRT before and I promised I'd get us an reservation on our girl's trip or die trying. I guess my back-up would be Be Our Guest but those will be hard to come by even without CRT possibly being closed. Urgh.

I don't think that the TS for dinner at Be Our Guest will have ADR's right away, so if CRT is closed then Be Our Guest will be first come first serve, which does not sound like much fun to me

I read somewhere, sorry don't remember where, that the last couple of TS restaurants to open up started taking reservations when they soft opened for a month ahead. So yeah, I think we'd probably be hard pressed to get ressies. I'll just keep my fingers (and toes!) crossed that CRT will be open during our trip so I don't have to scramble at the last minute.

UGH! I hadn't heard anything about CRT closing either. That could really throw another wrench in my plans since we want it for breakfast and that's the only 2TS breakfast we planned. It would give us 2 more credits to figure out and I don't have room to add a 2TS dinner and off the top of my head, I can't think of any other 2TS breakfasts...not that I'd really want to waste 2 on a different breakfast.

I don't think anyone knows yet. Disney Food Blog has contemplated that same question, but it sounds like nothing has been announced. I think they are speculating the possibility of something similar to Remy at Chefs de France.

From the artist renderings I've seen, it looks like Lumiere will be brought around from table to table similar to the way Remy is brought around Chefs de France.

We're going in October as well!!! October 8th-14th from Massachusetts to Orlando! We're staying at Port Orleans Riverside in a Royal Room! This will be our first family trip to WDW! We're also meeting up with a few other families from our town while we're there!

Hello, and sign us up!

We just booked for POR- October 23-October 30!!!

We have decided not to tell the kids this time around... they will be 7 and 4 at the time of the trip, and ask on a weekly basis about Disney. Not sure how to surprise them yet, but we will have lots of time to think!

Looking forward to planning everything! one month today, we can book ADRs!!!

Regarding the Be Our Guest restaurant. NO official dates have been announced. We still know no more than "Fall 2012" and that could mean anything. No point getting stressed out about it. Right?

And so far only that one website suggested that CRT will close for refurb when BOG opens. That doesn't make it a fact.

I MAKE MY ADRS in ONE WEEK!!! Monday April 2nd!!!!! YAY! Except cause I still have a few ADRs to figure out. Turns out we are a lot pickier than I thought.

Switch ressie from Oct 22-29th ASMo (2 preferred rooms) to AoA Little Mermaid (2 rooms).... so excited check, making ADR list to make ADRs in 3 wks check, making maps check, touring plans started check, now need to start creating autograph books and find any up to date info on fantasyland, restaurant refurbs and meet and greet locations.... does anyone know where I can find that info

I make ADR's on TAX DAY!! UGHHH!!

I've taken kelleigh1's idea and made my wall my planning board! I've moved stuff around a lot already!!

Is anyone else getting frustrated with touring plans changing things? I could understand changing things once the hours were released but there have been some pretty big changed 3 times now. Just when I think I have what park I want on what day it changed and I rearrange all over again!
