October 2011...Who's all going? Vacation dates and lodging

I am so ready to go Saved up enough for the hotel (booked), tickets and food (a guesstimate on how much we will spend). I am now working on souvenirs $$$

I can't believe we have to wait 6 more months!

We will be there October 6th-9th for my 43rd birthday.

No better way to celebrate your birthday than a visit to DLR during Halloween Time. I have added your dates to the list. Where are you staying?

Me. too! it seems like a long time, but I know it will get here. Have you seen last year's Halloween merchandise listed on the Halloween Superthread? Might give you some ideas on what you may want to save up for.

Last time we went to Disney (WDW in '08) most of the Halloween merchandise was sold out! I was so upset because they had this awesome Halloween shirt and the only size left was XXL, thought about getting it to wear as a PJ but I really wanted to wear it in the parks. Then I saw a Splash Mountain shirt that I HAD to have (SM is my all time fave ride) and they only had it in XS - and I ain't no XS

DH knows I will go a little crazy at the Vinylmation store - hope they still have the Halloween releases when we get there! And then yesterday he told me his dad wants to do a family reunion at WDW next April so I have to save up for that too. Now I don't have to use DD as an excuse to go to Disney next year

Now off to list on Ebay to save for those "belongings" as my mom calls souvenirs

tzeitel, you and I will be in DLR during the same week! I always have the same problem with the MHP t-shirts. Infuriates me to no end that they run out of merchandise by the 7th party. They still have the Halloween party to go! Last year, made a complaint and was told to try the phone in order line (Disneyland DelivEARS at 800-760-3566 (voice), 714-781-7557 (fax) ) after the first party is held. They just may be able to get it for me. So I'm going to try that this year, and order my t-shirt before I arrive.

We changed our dates to the 16-22 so my Fiance can go to BlizCon which is the 21-22nd at Anaheim Convention Center.

Edit: If I planned on being in the park the whole day of a Trick or Treat party, should I leave before/at 3ish and re-enter with my ticket--?

I have never seen the t-shirts before the first party. I am keeping an eye on DisneyParks Blog to see if there will post any merchandise for the Halloween Parties this year before the start of Halloween time. They do that for other events in the past. Usually, I wait for someone to post a picture of the t-shirts on the Halloween Superthread.

I have added your dates to the first post. Congrats on your engagement! Your honeymoon will be extra special at the GCH. BTW, I have an October anniversary and October is a special time to get married. In addition, Halloween Time at DLR. The parks will be decorated with fall decor and that will add to a seasonal honeymoon. Future anniversaries celebrated at DLR will have that special flare.

I hope to try ST2 for the AP preview in May and get Little Mermaid in sometime during the summer. That is if they don't have a preveiw for APs.
