109 days until the start of Halloween Time! Soon it will be 100 days...50 days...14 days! It will be before we know it.

I will be there in October along with my two cousins! We are doing the Halloween party on the 14th! I can't wait. We went to the party for the first time last year and had so much fun we are going back again! We will be staying at Paradie Pier Hotel!!

I will be going for 2 nights in Oct. Probably around the 6th or 7th. Still haven't firmed it up. Since I live in San Diego I have time. Going with my sister from Washington. Her first visit in about 35 years.

Sooo excited! We'll be there from Sept. 28th-Oct. 5th. The 29th is my bday! Yay! And I'm so excited to be doing HalloweenTime for the 2nd year in a row! WOohoo! Also, we'll be at the Halloween Party on Oct. 3rd.

Hi! I saw this thread and had to join the fun! We will be coming 10/28 to 11/3 for our third Halloween/Birthday trip at DL!!! Our last trip was Oct. 09, and because DD is turning ten (10/29) and I am turning 42 (11/1) I talked DH into it! What's killing me is, we are going to try and surprise her and not tell her until we are at the airport, with TRY being the operative word here. My hope is that with the help of you guys to share my excitement with, that I will be able to keep it in!

We are staying at BW Anaheim Inn.

My questions:

We have done the Mickey Halloween Party both times at CA, and are wondering if there is a big difference in doing it at DL? Last time DD wasn't as into it, so we weren't going to do it, until I saw the location change. Does that mean they close DL on those nights? For those that have been to both, which is better?

When will the calendar be out for Oct./Nov. on the DL website so that we know times and refurbs?

Does anyone know of any ride closures for then?

When is Matterhorn back?

I hope I can be added to the list, and I am so excited to have you all to share this with in the meantime!!!

Oh, and how do I get a fun Disney Halloween countdown?

Hello OregonMickeyLover and welcome to Disboards!

Your dates and hotel info has been added to the first post. I have been meaning to answer your questions, but I ran out of time this morning. I will attempt to do so now.

I have gone to MHP both at DCA and DL. I think both were great experiences. DL had more to offer with 50 plus treat stations and they added the three hour early entry for MHP ticket holders. DL had more attendees than when the Party was held in DCA, making it more crowded. They will close DL for the Party, but there will be the three hours where both party goers and day guests are in the park together. You can learn more about MHP at the Halloween Superthread. This thread will have all the information about Halloween Time and Mickey's Halloween Party. The first couple of posts has a great intro and a table of contents with links to pictures posted in the thread. You can go here to get to the Halloween Superthread.

Disney usually posts their calendar about 6 weeks ahead of the calendar date. I know that doesn't give vacationers a lot of time to plan their itineraries. It is one of the biggest complaints Disneyland fans have about Disney.

Ride closures are unknown as of now and what they closed last year, may not be what they would close this year. We will just have to wait and see what they announce.

You can get a Disney ticker at several websites. I use My Vacation Countdown. Just click on "My Vacation Countdown" on my ticker to take you to their website. Follow the instructions which are easy to follow.

Liza you are awesome!!! I saw an earlier post where you stated you were consumed doing daughter stuff, so I knew you were busy. Thank you sooo much for taking the time to answer my questions, and I hope when you see that I started a thread with my questions that you aren't thinking I'm impatient. I just wasn't sure about the different threads, but Sherry explained them all to me! You guys are a wealth of Disney knowledge I tell ya! I guess I just need to think about it more on whether to do the Hall. party again or not, hmmm. Our other thought was to do the Happy Haunts tour, but we know nothing about it, so I will look for reviews of that. Again, thank you so much!

We are coming from New Zealand Oct 21-Nov 5 at Hojo's. First time ever at DL for Halloween. DS's 8 and 11 very excited about scoring some US candy!
