October 2011 Code Watch

Are you going to MNSSHP while you are there - we are going the 18th. We'll be POFQ 15-22. We'll be Disney neighbors! :woohoo:

Glad to have you as a Disney neighbor. I don't think we are going to MNSSHP. My husband has expressed no interest in going. He's a bit of a party pooper. :sad2: The only thing I have planned for our trip is dinner reservations. Everything else is up in the air. This is a first time trip for me so I really don't know what to expect while at WDW, but I am totally geeked about going.

Bring it on October, waiting is making me anxious! :cool1:

Went ahead and booked POFQ for our short October stay but would love to get a good deal and stay at Poly!

We are passing on MNSSHP also this year, it just hasn't seemed worth the cost in past years.

Following the advice of another Disboarder, I asked a CM if theren was any chance of recieving a PIN for October. He said this year there were no new deals coming out. He hadn't heard of any 40th Anniversary Specials, or anything. He said they are normally out by now, so he didn't think they were gonna offer them this year. :confused3

Truth is, CMs (through no fault of their own) are pretty clueless about this topic. They will offer something, but no one know when and no one knows what. Historically, offers for Oct typically come out in Aug. Last year, an unusually early offer was released the first week of July. If we get to Sept. 1 and no offer has come out for Oct, THAT is when we should start worrying.:thumbsup2

Oh, I do hope you are right! I just hope it comes in time to change my ressies, to take advantage of it!:jumping1:

We will most likely go in Oct. but haven't booked yet. The day after we book I'm sure they'll announce deals. So it's my fault the deals haven't been announced yet. Sorry!

Then book already, daizieduck :rotfl:

Yeah, I've had at least three different CMs tell me to call back in a month or so for AP rates.

Ah, the joy of pure speculation~

We are hoping for a quick October trip too!!! And, am hoping for a good discount!! I have a conference in Ft Lauderdale, and want to visit disney for a few days as well!! ( :

watching this thread too as we're planning to be there the week of my DD's birthday...we could really use a discount...this is our first Disney trip with any of our kids and we can only afford to bring the 3 oldest.

come on PIN...come on FD...come on ANYthing!!! LOL:rotfl:

I don't know if any of you have checked out Dad's Guide website, but he put a huge tease on his website - he is also a Disney travel agent.

He told this lady in a response to her question that she may want to wait until Sunday to book her trip for this Fall because of a big announcement. Dare we hope?!:scared1:

How cool! Some hope! I'll be up early tomorrow, that's for sure! What time do the reservation lines open? (Central time?)

What time of day do announcements usually come out? Does it help being on the phone before the official announcement?

Not that I'm excited or anything...;)
