So I was messing around with different code combo's on Alamo's website and I somehow accidently booked this:

That's it...it gives me a subtotal??? I copied and pasted that right from the email confirmation. I did xxx out my dates of travel, but NOT the contract code, so I really have no idea what combo I used. I know it is a mistake, though it would be awesome to have them pay me $35 to rent a car from them.

Anyone else ever have this happen???

all you have to do is go the email confirmation, click link on the bottom as if to modify and the corporate code should be listed...then pm me with the corp code.

IMO its the sort of thing u'd better have a backup reservation JIK ur denied the rental @ the counter/gate due to not having proper id to back up the code.

In general, it takes a gambling sort to use any corp id for which u aren't affiliated/eligible to use (as in if you have to ask or feel the need to call providerdon't. If you have to ask you likely aren't & it ruins it for those who are willing to take the risk involved).

fyi, the free LDW coverage could cause major issues if an accident were to occur & the contract holder/alamo would refuse to honor coverage.

You can sign up for American Airlines Aadvantage program for free and print out a card online which would make you eligible to use the code. You don't need to be flying that particular ariline to be a member of the frequent flyer program.

I just found the source of the $35 code. It's American airlines so I guess that puts me out (Southwest). That's okay, the hunt is still on!!! I just saw last minute rates were showing as $100. That's more to my liking.

I just plugged your dates in and I got a rate of $211.04 noon to noon... Make sure your insider information is plugged in (last name and id#), and also pickup and drop off time can make a difference... I tried to switch mine to a half hour and my rate nearly doubled so try fooling around with pickup and dropoff times

I'm picked up at 10/6 9:30am at MCO and dropping off at 10/14 JAX at 3pm. Tripled the price!!! Oh and I like Alamo so much...oh well.

WHOA!! My parents are flying into Tampa and then driving to Disney 10/5-10/14 (found them $55 round trip airfare including taxes/fees!!) Car rentals out of Tampa International Airport are OUT OF SIGHT! Best deal on 9 day rental with Alamo is $365 for full size. (using every code I could find)! Found them a rental for Alamo at the Westin for $165 total. Hotel is 4 miles away from airport and there is a free hotel shuttle or a taxi is $10. CRAZY that two rentals 4 miles apart from same company are so different.

Here's hoping the airport rates come down soon.

me too, hoping the current trends will continue

haven't seen any posts if using ORLESS as a rate code (also good as corporate id for me in the past a few weeks out) has been producing any last minute help

search the thread or just go back & read last few pages for lots of codes. It's an American Airlines offer directly thru alamo. the coupon has been discussed several times since i 1st posted it (post #253); including information how to obtain back up id.

I have a midsize thru alamo reserved from 9/27-10/6 for $100 out the door. it seems to almost drop by about $5 daily

Big drop for an Alamo midside SUV for 9/30-10/8. Using an ID code and coupon through Visa, I got it for $200. Cars rates are even lower.
