October 2010!! Lets Plan Together!!

We are staying at BLT (our home resort) from October 2nd to the 7th for the first time as DVC members and using DVC. We are so excited to be so close to MK and the monorail.

We are hoping to do MNSSHP and I can't wait to make my ADR's in April.

Here are a couple of ADR's we hope for:
-Chef Mickey's for breakfast
-Tusker House for breakfast
-50's Prime Time Cafe for dinner
-Teppan Edo or Garden Grill

I can't wait my son is so excited to be going and I am hoping that the weather will cooperate for us.

We are going Oct 9 - 11, staying at BC. Planning on going to a MNSSHP and checking out the Food and Wine Festival. I think we do the Magical Milestones tour. Last year we did the Wildlife Discovery Excursion and the year before the Family Magic Tour. We enjoyed both so that we would give another tour a try. I can't wait until ds 11 gets to 18 so we can do Keys to the Kingdom !

We have eaten at CP for lunch and dinner , now I want to try go back b'fast there. Will probably go back to Sci Fi and Kona. Don't have any other adrs picked out yet. I have picky eaters in my group and there aren't any new places they want to try. We have tried at least one new place every year but now are back to what we like the best.

October can't get here soon enough!

I'll be there with friends Oct 13-17. We're getting together next week to decide what ADRs we want to make. One of my friends has a 12 year old boy,who has never been there. We're thinking Either HDDR or SOA for one night and I'd like to go to Boma's. I'm biting my nails until the Oct calander comes out, and still hoping for Free DP.

I just booked a studio at BCV for October 14-17 and hoping that I can add on a couple nights at BWV for the 17 and 18 just have to wait until 9am on Wed to call MS. Can't wait for F&W and MNSSHP!!! I can't wait for that calendar to be released so I can make some more solid plans:cool1:

The moment we left the BC (leaving WDW :sad2: is such a DRAG!) last Sept.,
DH started researching less expensive ways to spend time in WDW.
So we are booked at AKV for October 17 - 22 in a value studio for $10 a point!
Looking forward to staying at AKV for the first time!:woohoo:
Can't wait to have one on one couple time  for 6 whole days with no distractions!!!!!

We stayed there for the first time last September and loved it so much that we're going back for our honeymoon this October!! :cloud9: We stayed in a value studio and were lucky enough to get one of the Savannah view rooms. It was absolutely amazing. We can't wait to go back! We'll be there from 10/17 - 10/24 so we may just run into you :3dglasses lol

If you've never stayed in a value studio, I think they're DVC's best kept secret-I LOVE them! I've stayed in standard, savannah, and value studios, and now all my AKV trips are in value studios. Currently I'm on the waiting list for a value studio for October 9-12. Hope you love it as much as I do.

I'm going October 3-12. October 3-9, I'm at BCV. Then from the 9th-12th I'm at AKV, where I expect to be just relaxing, viewing the animals, eating at Boma and Sanaa, going over to the movies at the pool at Kidani. If anyone's going to be at AKV at that time, I'd love to get together for a meal or a visit.

Our Poly stay is all booked, our AKV stay is booked, and I just reserved our hotel for our arrival night at Fairfield Inn near Disney for only $59!

Now I just have to wait until 3/23 when SWA opens up their itineraries through 10/30! :dance3:

:goodvibes You will be caught up in the honeymoon glow :rolleyes1 and won't notice anyone else, I'm sure!

We are so excited to go but it's over 6 months away and a LONG summer :laundy: to get through until then...:sad2:
Meanwhile, it's ADR planning-:surfweb: DISboards and surfing Youtube for WDW videos... :3dglasses

Really wanting to go over fall break...Oct 16-24, and trying to figure out how to do it as cheaply as possible. :woohoo: Thinking of driving the nearly 1000 miles to save airline $$, have a PIN for 25% off moderates (POR least expensive for family of 5), and will use GADGADD vouchers to save on park tickets. I'm just waiting to see if Disney will offer any new discounts/free dining/etc once the current round of discounts is done at the end of March. :surfweb: Hope to decide in the next few weeks so I can book those ADRs! :thumbsup2

Quick reminder for all you October travelers who are planning on flying on Southwest. Tomorrow you can start booking your flights.

I wonder how many other people have the date circled on their calendar.

I can't wait!!!! Then from there, it's just 1 (hopefully short) week until the October hours are released so we can plan our days & ADR's!

i need to book my flight tomorrow as well, going to the Poly on Oct. 16-23rd with the 40% off pin we received! Does anyone know what time Southwest typically releases their fares, ie. is it 10am, midnight, noon?

That is a good question. I looked at their policies and I didn't read anything about a specific time. So my first guess is, they would be available at Midnight in your local time zone. All they state on their website is to keep checking back. I sent them an e-mail asking this question. I'll let you know the response when I get it. Hopefully they reply back today.

Thanks for that, I was looking on the transportation board, and several people mentioned that in the past it has been @10am eastern time. No one was sure though. I guess I will just check when I wake up and check a few times at work. I am sure someone will post here on the DIS as soon as the schedule opens up on SWA website! :cool1::thumbsup2

We used our 40% off PIN for the Poly, too! We'll be there from 10/14 - 10/17! It's our first time staying there so we definitely plan on doing the luau. How about you?

I actually sent them a question last Monday asking them when the October fares would be released (before it was posted on their site's main page), and they didn't respond back until yesterday morning. While I do hope they respond back to you today, too - I wouldn't count on it. :guilty:
