October 2010!! Lets Plan Together!!

You need to buy your tickets ASAP! Tickets sell out quickly for Halloween Week. You'll have a great time!

Thanks for the heads up! I will definitely purchase my tickets as soon as I get my trip dates finalized (Later this week) :thumbsup2

My husband & I bought our MNSSHP tickets for Halloween the day they went on sale. We didn't even have our trip booked yet. Didn't want to chance not getting them because we knew we wouldn't be able to go WDW before Halloween due to work schedule. We're just so excited to be there for Halloween & seeing our 3 young children's reaction to it all. How many children up north will be saying I went trick or treating in Disney? A lifetime chance :yay:

Oh how exciting. Your first Disney trip. This will be DW's, D'Sis 2nd trip. My 3rd and we have some friend who's it will also be there 1st. We'll be there the same time as you.

I've heard that the F&WF festival can get pretty packed on the weekends. Mainly the local residents flock to the park during this time. I was thinking of switching park days around as well, but our ADR's are already set. We'll be attempting Epcot 2 days just in case it is a little busy. This is the first time we've gone during this time of year, so I guess we'll see how it goes.

Have fun on your first Disney trip.

Hello ChrisHartman from Milwaukee. I am from the Wausau area and have to say your plan looks great as it is. Having visited WDW during the last week of October during F & W last year I would recommend going to Epcot on a weekday. The crowds were lighter during the week and, how do I say this, there were fewer groups of adults enjoying the "offerings" during the week:rotfl: Nothing against anyone having fun (and I do not want to get into a debate about adult behavior whilst enjoying a pint or 2)...we just noticed a few too many people acting a little more verbose than we normally encounter in Epcot on the weekend than were present during the week.

At times it reminded me of our local county fair before they implemented "beer gardens" and installed fences...or maybe a bit like Summerfest? Nothing obnoxious or rude, just a little different from what we are used to seeing while touring the countries. We were staying at BW so we went in and out quite a few times over the week (which you certainly can do with staying at Swan). You may not notice a difference, but if I had to vote (and since you asked) I would say stick with AK on Sunday and try Epcot on the 14th. Either way...have a blast!:dance3:

My mom, DS7 and myself have dinner reservations at Chef Mickey's on the 9th too!! I also planned for us to be at Epcot on Sunday the 10th....we have a lunch ressie at Le Cellier and a dinner ressie at Garden Grille. According to Touring Plans....Epcot is a best park to visit that day. Epcot holds crowds much better than the other parks so I wasn't too concerned about crowds on a Sunday and during F&WF. I'm more concerned about my Friday night MNSSHP....but oh well too late, already bought tix!

We are 42 days away and I want to share our plans! It's myself, DS7 and my mother. DH and DS16 are not joining me on this trip but we have already booked a family vaca to AKL for Aug 2011. Anyway, this trip first! We are staying at Pop without park hoppers.

10/7-land at MCO 9am, head to MK after check-in, Pirates League early afternoon then to Pop to meet mom for dinner at resort, DTD in PM
10/8-AK, lunch at Yak & Yeti, dinner at resort, MNSSHP in evening
10/9-MK, Chef Mickey's for dinner
10/10-Epcot, lunch at Le Cellier, dinner at Garden Grille
10/11-DHS, lunch at Sci-Fi, possibly DTD in evening
10/12-DS's park of choice, head to airport mid-afternoon

DS7 gave up seeing F! on night of 10/7 in order to do PL on arrival day. It's disappointing that it has limited showings. I really wanted my mom to see it. Hopefully mom and dad can join us next year at AKL!

10/8 - drive down - one night at por - dtd _ earl or wpe for dinner
10/9 - up early check in to BWI - am emh dhs - lunch at sci fi - pm not sure yet
10/10 - probably ak in the am - dinner at ohana then pm emh at mk
10/11 - mickey's magical milestone tour - back to bwi for pool and rest - back to mk for mnsshp and cp for early dinner

we have park hoppers so we may change plans depending on crowd levels.

DBF and I are taking our trip 10/4-10/10. WE decided to skip on MNSSHP and try to relax with this trip. I tend to get carried away. We plan around dinner reservations. We did it in Sept 2007 and thought it was cute. WE had fun watching the Halloween fireworks, which were awesome.

We are staying at POFQ; we love this resort. Tried CBR and it was too big for us. We love the intimacy that POFQ has. 2 stops vs. 7 at CBR.

Our trip is lokking like this:

MK PM EMH-Main St. Electrical parade

Oct 5. Open/ MK
Ohana @ 9:30am
Califronia Grill @ 4:50pm

I also have ADRs at 50s Prime Time for lunch on the 7th, but I think my reservations are for around 12:30. I'm also planning to see Wishes on the 9th, as you are.

Trip going from Sept 30th 2010 to Oct 7th.

I'm starting a trip report over here:
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2542889

I plan on doing a pre report listing out all the planning that has gone into the trip leading up to the actual event. Then I'm going to follow up with a post trip wrap up giving a before and after view of what I thought going in and what I found out with how it all worked out or didn't work out. Hopefully there will be lots of pictures - especially of the food. My wife is going to think I've totally lost it...

Hit up my report and let me know if there is anything I'm missing or should look into while we're in the World!

:thumbsup2

Yay! It's September 1st! Now we can all say we're going to Disney NEXT MONTH! :cool1: (Technically I still have 52 days to go but saying next month sounds better!)

Where is everyone? I know some of you are leaving before the end of this month! My husband decided he wants to do the Dive Quest tour at Epcot so I called last week to book that for him for 10/27. (Got a nice discount by using my Disney Visa. :thumbsup2) He did the dive tour once before and really enjoyed it.

We're leaving in like 18 days! We'll be celebrating our son's 2nd birthday in the Magic Kingdom. We're also headed to MNSSHP on October 3. We can't wait.
