October 2010 - IoA, Harry Potter and Halloween

We're a family of 5 headed to WDW in just 4 days, and we've already begun planning the next orlando trip. We only budget 1 trip every other year - it's not just financial, but my wife has limited vacation time off available, and we want to spend some of it with family.

Anyway, I think October 2010 is the perfect time for the reasons below:
1) October usually isn't a busy time, we usually go in October and find few crowds.
2) USF/IoA is planning to open quite a few new things since our last visit (Sept 2005), like Harry Potter, Rip Ride Rockit, Simpsons, etc. and these will be ready by Summer 2010 (my best guess).
3) We're planning to do 1 or more evening Halloween events. My wife and I have always wanted to go, but haven't yet.
4) I'm a Potter fan, and I wonder if they'll be planning and Potter-specific Halloween events? Too early to know yet, but Halloween does feature prominently in those books.

I don't think in the past USF/IoA has been busy in October... I wonder if that was part of the reason for the Halloween events, to drum up more business that time of year?

Does anyone have a better suggested time in 2010 for a USF/IoA trip?
Any other suggestions?

I would stick with fall 2010 to make sure everything is up and running before making a trip down for HP.

October isn't normally busy for any of the parks but HHN has been extremely successful over the past 17 or 18 years it's been in existence. I don't know if the only reason HHN was started was to get more business but it certainly worked brilliantly.

Having read every book many times, I dont remember ever really reading much about Halloween, I am not even sure if thats celebrated in the UK

I completely forgot that question. I doubt they will do anything HP specific for HHN. Once all the construction is over, we might see HHN in both parks again like in 2005 which was great. Other than that...I don't see anything else going on for Halloween related to HP.

Maybe not the first year. But I definately remember readong somewhere (now i Know why that's one of my tags) that they're might be a HP halloween thing for the younger set that doesn't like the big scares of HHN (like MNSSHP). And a Christmas-time event too.
