cannot tell you how nice it is to just hop on the boat @ end of MNSSHP & head home my DS reminded me of this when i mentioned we'd be @ AK or all or part of trip ...at least he's paying attention

You know, you're so right! We did just that last year but we were staying at WL, not the villas. We bought DVC in Aug. but had already pre-paid for our fall trip so this is the first time I've tried to book on points at 7 mos. Hopefully we'll get lucky and be just a boat ride away again this year!

Just cancelled my VWL studio Oct 25-26 ressie and booked an OKW studio Oct. 24-26 - need those two queen beds.

We are going 10/18-10/25. We are currently waitlisted for 10/19 & 10/22 at the BWV for a 1 bedroom pool/garden view.

We are also waitlisted the entire week at BWV for a 2 bedroom. Hopefully one of our options will come through!

First ...Yeah!!! our waitlist came through for 2BR at BCV for Oct 8-11th. Very excited, this will be our first stay at BCV!!!

But it was an interesting phone call with MS...

I called today to double check that I added a request to our stay at VB for this thursday, I didn't but she said too late to change because rooms have already been assigned...ok no problem..

I then asked her to check that they had my waitlist correct for Oct...she says, "yes, I see you are waitlisted for..oh wait..can I put you on hold?" She comes back a few minutes later and says I'm all set our waitlist came through

Huh? Wasn't there this morning...I thought the waitlist was supposed to automaticaly match up the requests..so it doesn't really? So what the heck good is a waitlist if I can call and they will give it to me over someone who is waitlisted?

So confused....

We have cancelled our BWV wait list for OCT 27 to Nov 1.
We are keeping our AKV for OCT 27 to NOV 1 reservation.
And waitlisting AKV for 26 OCT.

EDIT: We got our one little night in a 1br at BCV on Oct 24!!!!

We currently have a 1br Boardwalk view for that particular night & 1br at BCV for Oct 25 - Nov 2.......Hoping for a little Pixie Dust!!

Update:

We got our 10/22/08 reservation for BWV on Monday! I called to check, and suprise!!! It happened to come through just then!

Thank you all for that neat little tip!

Now we are just waiting for Sunday, 10/19/08!

Just got off the phone w/ member services. I was able to get a Savanna View Studio at AKV for Wednesday the 22nd of October.

If it's helpful to anyone, I was told that there are 1 bedrooms available for Wednesday the 22nd at Beachclub, Boardwalk and Wilderness Lodge.

We are currently waitlisted for BCV studio for one night - October 5th!! I made all my ressies day by day and this was the only one I wasn't able to get. So far we have BCV studio for Sept 25th-Oct 5th (ckout Oct 5th) and then ck-in Oct 6th-Oct 7th for our last night. So we only need ONE MORE night!!!

I am totally stressing as it has been 30+ days so far and no word yet........send me some pixie dust PLEASE!!!
