With the code that Might come out on August 14... Will it include rooms that are booked with the Dining Plan?

We have ours booked the end of October with the dining plan and I hope that does not hurt us.

2 yrs ago we had our package booked with DDP and when the code came out it was no problem. We even upgraded to CSR from POP.

I'll second that! I'm planning on contacting our AAA TA tomorrow to review what options we would prefer if we're able to upgrade for about the same price as now.

Just out of curiosity...how much would you save on your room with the code? My mom recieved an email six months ago for 40% our rooms and we are going this October. Would the code have saved us more than 40%?

I had the 40% off email pincode from January (which we're using in October) and it worked out to precisely 40% off rack rates.

But I'm still haunting this thread looking for a code for my SIL who belatedly decided to come for part of the time we'll be there!

Somebody posted that they got a pincode from Disney Visa good thru October, I hope that Disney Visa isn't switching to targeted deals rather than codes good for all cardholders...but either way, hopefully there will be a general public code soon!!

Like Marvin Gaye, we heard this through the grapevine:

General public WDW discount coming Aug 14. Travel 9/24 - 12/23. Must buy room and tickets, and it's a discount on the room.

While that's the sum total of what we know, we expect a Disney Visa cardholder discount to come out a couple of days before that. The usual disclaimers apply.

I sure hope they allow room only discounts with whatever code they decide to come out with since we just bought our tickets through Undercover Tourist this weekend!

I did receive an email code in the mail for Sept 28 to Dec 23. It said it was a package with tickets, but in the small print it said to call for room only discounts as well. I called on Sat and the CM said it was only for the package. But in rereading the email, I decided to call again today. We were able to get the room only at ASMu for 69 per night starting Sept 28. The only thing was that now we have 2 reservations. One with our AP for the first 2 nights and the last 6 nights with the PIN code. Hopefully an AP rate will come out and I can change it back to one reservation and maybe it will be the 64 as well as our first 2 nights are. I think that the AP rates will be out there soon since that's how the CM sounded, but he suggested still doing what I did since it was availble now and maybe I may not be able to get the AP rate for our reservation when it comes out.

Just to let you know, the offer starting Sept 28 came from Disney Destinations and is a Once Upon a Dream Disney Resort Offer specific to the person sent the email but I was told we could book up to 3 more rooms as long as we are in the same resort and I was there.

Thank you so much for posting this. I got the same e-mail and when I called GG Saturday they told me I would have to purchase tickets. I had just done that through UT a few days before because of price increase. So I just kept the AAA room only discount I had. So seeing your e-mail I called just now and saved another $150 off what the AAA rate was. So in total for 9 nights at the FW Cabins with one code and one pin, I saved $650 over rack rate.

I got the email on my junk email. i just called to see if I could apply it to my room arte that I already booked and they said no and that all that was left was concierge. I check several resorts and none of them had amything for my dates . Turns out it's only about 20% anyway. I hope the Disney Visa code does offer room only.

OOOHHHH! Keeping my fingers crossed! Right now, we are booked at the WL and our rate is NOT 205!!! I've never been able to use a code before. I sure hope this is our lucky trip!

I got an email this morning offering a deal for a family of 4 for 7days/6nights for 69 a person. Is this what the recent buzz was all about? I thought that was a standard deal that they have had in place for a long time now? Im sticking around waiting for the visa card code anyway!
